THE BULL IN THE EYE
Brenda and Bobby raced back to the villages and arrived before the aliens.
"Hoorays are on their way here?" Bobby screamed to the awaiting mobs, and his screaming jolted them out of their reasoning, and they all picked up their weapons to form a defensive line.
"We need fuels or engine oils, to make the ground slippery," Brenda announced, at the remembrance of Horus's confession of the alien's weakness.
"There is a stationary truck, filled with lubricating oil, very close by." One among the men with her shrieked back.
"Let's retreat to the back of it, and some of you should use the pipe attached to the tank and wet all our environment," Brenda answered back.
"There are some kegs of inflatable oils inside the fuel station beside us." Another man cried out, then point his finger at the deserted fuel station before them.
"The oils will be used later, carry it along as we retreat." Bobby cried back, and looked at the hopping aliens, as they hopped to the first defensive line.
"They are already here, let's retreat now!" Maria screamed out.
"We retreat now!" Brenda screamed at the mobs with her, veered, and raced into the wet area.
When the Hoorays hopped closer and were just a few feet say. They brought out their bows and arrows of destruction and fired at the human who formed a line to block their advancement.
The men, like Salah rams, were instantly slaughtered, and their remains turned into dark ashes and were blown off by the winds that are now turning into a whirlwind.
"They are attacking us with their deadly weapons!"
"Run into the forest!"
"Avoid the arrows, it will turn you into ashes if they touch you!"
The cries of the retreating mobs were heard, as the aliens attacked from far, without giving humans the chance to protect themselves in the fair fight they once promised.
When the Hoorays reached the wetted area, they wobbled for a while, and some among them fell.
Brenda saw that the advancing Hoorays' line had scattered, she instructed some of her gang to follow her, while some are to wet the forest with the flammable oils, as the rest retreated into the deeper side of the forest.
When the Hoorays saw the mobs racing at them, the team leader cried out to his warriors to fire at the humans and most of them instantly obeyed. But their aims were poor, and most of their shots went astray.
Brenda hopped up, then smacked her two knees on the face of a tall Hooray, as he fired a missed shot at her.
The Hooray tried to block the lady's leg thrust that followed the smacking with his knee, but his other leg slipped, and he staggered backward.
Brenda dived at the alien, as he loomed backward, knocked his throat with her left elbow, then snatched the bow off his hand.
She landed with her two feet, whirled, then slashed the sword in her right hand and severe the alien's head off.
She stooped, and quickly removed the four arrows inside the pouch attached to her victim's body, then stand up, balanced her leg, and fired a straight shot, that stuck into the head of a wobbling alien.
"Wow, you just shot the bull in the eye!" Bobby exclaimed, stepped off a poor shot, then whacked his sledgehammer on the head of the attacking alien.
"Yeah! Grab it off his hand, shoot it, and tell me how you feel." Brenda cried back, stooped to bobbed a slashing targeted at her head, then whirled in the air, and smacked her knees on the alien's neck. Her hand, draw the arrow already fixed to the string of the bow, and she fired as she plummeted downward.
The alien saw the arrow flying over him, and tried to regain his balance, to evade it, but his feet gave way, and he stumbled and was almost hitting the ground when the arrow stuck into his thigh. The last memory of the alien, as he burst into flame, was the mocking face of his killer.
"Your moves are splendid!" Bobby exclaimed, as soon as he had whacked his opponent to death, and ripped his bow and arrows off his hand.
"I feel like am holding my gun," Brenda answered back, at the memory of her beretta.
Bobby grinned, raised the bows in his hand, fixed the three arrows he had found on the body of the alien he just whacked to death, bend his two arms, and fired.
The arrows scamper forward and are then stuck into the bodies of three retreating aliens.
"You don't need to waste the arrows to impress me." Brenda cried back, smiling as she resumed her speech. "They will all be killed in a few minutes, let's save all the arrows for other conflicts."
"Yes, madam," Bobby answered back, with a mocking grin, and quickly raced forward to join the rest of the mobs, as they raced after the retreating aliens, then cried out, as soon as he got closer.
"They are trying to get back to the dried ground, raced closer, and only use the arrow on the one out of reach."
"Get that mocking grin out of your face, or I will leave this suckers and raced after you, then smacked it out of for you," Brenda shouted, then whacked her sword at a semi-conscious Hooray on her way.
The retreating Hoorays were all slaughtered before they wobbled back to safety, and the men quickly picked up all their weapons, then raced back.
"We have five hundred of the alien's weapons." Maria let out.
"That means we have been able to kill five hundred of them!" Bobby exclaimed.
"And this has also cost us, men of almost the same numbers," Brenda announced with a grim face.
"Everything has a price, we won't all live in the end," the general let out.
"Aye," Brenda muttered back, and instantly placed a larger column at a defensive location to counter-attack, while the rest followed her, as they circled the great rock.
"Don't forget to light the wetted area, as soon as they are in-between." Maria reminded the men, as she stepped after Brenda.
"Of course, we won't," one among the men answered back.
Yaris ordered a thousand of his warriors, and they attacked the mobs at their front.
For hours, the conflicts raged on, and the aliens were killing the humans in larger quantities, but the enormous numbers against them seemed not to be decreasing.
Who claimed that quantity doesn't matter?
When his warriors remained a few hundred, Yaris ordered another two thousand, and this seemed to leverage the chance against him.
"Let's all attack them at once." One among the few named Hooray under him suggested with a shivering voice. "They are many and will murder all our clan in a few hours."
Yaris glared at the Hoora, hissed, and asked. "Weren't you taught that each of you can kill ten humans in a fair fight?" He paused his speech, shake his head, and resumed his speech. "Did you know why I was called the terminator? I once killed thousands of men singlehandedly."
"So sorry if I annoyed you with my suggestion."
"No you don't, am just disappointed with all of you," Yaris smirked back.
The Hooray bowed, turn, and was about to leave the presence of his superior when a commanding voice ordered him to turn back.
"If we commit all our fighters, when we have no idea where the scepter is, what will happen when the scepter arrives, and it was followed by a larger gang?"
"We can order more warriors, or attack them with our banned weapon."
"We will if I lose this time."
"Will they be using the scepter on top of that rock?" The Hooray, now courageous because of the friendly discussions with his boss walked closer, and asked.
"Yes, that was why I asked them to climb to the top."
"You can just order, for another section of warriors to be placed there, instead of suffering them to climb up."
"Suffering them, is that what you all think? How can I order more warriors, after being given over twenty thousand?"
Yaris whispered, sounding like a loud shout in the ears of the Hooray, but he looked his boss in the face, knowing he may never have another chance like this.
"What about calling for a spaceship to fly them up? That will be faster and less risky."
"Did you think these enormous mobs will allow a spaceship to land?" Yaris asked back.
"Let's put our pride apart, then report to our superior officer the situation on the ground."
"I will when I will ." Yaris let out, then dismissed the Hooray in his front, with a wave of the hand.
He peeked at the Hoorays climbing Zuma rock, tried to count their numbers, then grinned at his unsuccessful mission.
Those who made it up will be reporting to him, and then he will be deciding on the next move. For now, his pride can remain with him.
