LIFE IS PRICELESS
Some men sneaked close to the camp, they quickly circled the guards and put all of them to death, then entered the camp to attack the sleeping ones.
Augur was deep in sleep when four men sprang into his room.
He opened his eyes, and rolled off as a matchet cut into his shoulder, "who are you?" He asked, hopped at a man with a poised dagger, and knocked it off his hand, but another man struck at him from the back. "Yeh!"
Augur gasped as the blade pierced his back, he jerked the man in his front, held him tight, and hopped along with him, both crashed the linen serving as the wall of the camp and landed outside.
Augur raised his body into a standing position and looked around.
Fire exploded all over the camp, and men were seen tossing around in the flame.
"Who are you, and why are you doing these?" Augur asked the man who sneers in his front.
"We are the demise that visits you in your premise." The sneering man replied, leaped at Augur, and stabbed him on the breast.
Augur cried out in pain as the blade of the dagger sliced into him.
He staggered, fell, and screamed again as the man suddenly turned into a beast with four eyes.
"Die, Augur die!" A dominating voice yelled at Augur.
Augur woke in a startled. "Where am I?" Recollection settled in and he looked sobered at the realization that all had been a nightmare. "Damn nightmare!"
Augur stood up from the camp bed, he picked up the bottle of his unfinished liquor and swallowed it all in four gulps.
Tears soon gathered in his eyes as the alcohol in the liquor stung him and he coughed out thrice.
Augur walked out of his camp bed and stepped out to receive fresh air.
The camp looked peaceful and Augur grinned with satisfaction.
"All is safe and sound.
Two guards beside a campfire whistled at him and he waved back at them.
And at that instant, Augur saw the silhouettes of some men sneaking towards the guards beside the campfire, he tried to shout out a warning to them, but his voice froze as the silhouettes descended on the two unaware guards and severe their heads off.
" Enemies in the camp!"
Augur screamed out and dashed into Dija's camp bed, some distance off, but the assassin woman was already on her feet.
"We have been infiltrated," Augur announced, veered around, and raced at the silhouettes of men who by now have plunged into the middle of the camp and had started attacking anyone seen.
"Enemies in the camp!" Dija screamed, then raced after Augur.
Brenda and Maria were laying beside each other in deep sleep when Maria suddenly leaped up, slapped Brenda's back to wake her, then raced to meet two armed men, who crawled towards them.
A few steps to meet her opponents, Dija leaped up, whirled mid-air, and slashed back at a sword poised at her, then double kick her second attacker on his face with her two legs. She landed with her two feet, whirled around, stepped left to escape the blade of a sword slashed at her, then chopped off the hand holding the sword.
The second man regain his balance and struck his dagger at the lady in his front, but another woman leaped at his back and hacked his head off his shoulder.
"Let's go give it to them." Maria let out.
"After you, Brenda answered back.
Bobby and Apollon777 were seen fighting against some men dressed as a jihadist, with their infamous turbans.
Bobby whacked a sledgehammer on a man's head, dived off as another man attacked him with a spear, then rolled back as the man leaped closer.
The man slashed at the big man in his front, but Bobby ripped his spear off his hand, then whacked a sledgehammer on his chest, and he could hear the crushing sound as his ribs shattered into pieces.
"Where is Brenda?" Apollon777 screamed out, hacked a man to pieces with his weapon, stepped off a dagger thrown at him, and leaped after the man who threw it.
"Over there," Bobby replied Apollon777 and gestured towards Brenda with his eyes.
"Let's fight close to her," Apollon777 announced. Leaped at a man who raced forward with a sword, parried his thrust by stepping left, and swirling right. He dipped the dagger in his hand into the man's gut, and yanked him off his front, then raced close to Brenda.
Two men raced after Bobby, but he stopped unexpectedly, then somersaulted back, widen his arms, and landed on the two men to knock them down.
As soon as the three men crashed to the ground, Bobby rolled off their midst, thrust his right leg forward, and kicked the face of the man in his right side.
Bobby's thrust send him sprawling on the ground and he laid fainted for a while, then struggled to his feet and walked toward the big man who fought like a demon.
The second man tried to pick up his fallen sword, but Bobby leaped at him as he stooped. He saw a dagger aiming at his throat, and he tried to knock it out of the man's hand, but his attacker plunged the dagger into his outstretched fist, removed it instantly, and thrust it into his left eye, then the right one. When the man tempered justice with mercy and severe his head off. The tormented dying man smile as total numbness takes over his pain.
The three generals circled Roland and they hacked any man that dare come near into pieces.
"Where are the rest of our men?" The grey-hair general yelled at his comrade some feet off.
"Over there." The general yelled at, replied. "I have ordered them to form a circle and prevent the enemies from getting near us when we arrive.
"Are we fighting our way into the circle?" The third general inquired.
"Yes." The second general answered back.
The three generals walked forward, two at the front, and one at Roland's back.
"Stop treating me like a spoilt kid, am old enough to protect myself." Roland let out with a grim look.
"You can do whatever you like when I deliver you to our boss, until then, please bear our insult to your personality and do exactly what I said." The grey-hair general at Roland's back sneered.
A man suddenly leaped from the back of a big tree on the road and slashed his sword at Roland.
The grey-hair general dived at Roland's attacker and severe his outstretched hand off his shoulder, then hacked him into two to silence his screaming.
Some arrows plummeted forward and the two generals at the front veered back, jerked Roland's arms, and dived with him into the safety of the trees by the roadside.
Four men with bows and arrows stepped close to the hidden men, and they looked wearily around and stepped like a thief in search of a bounty.
The grey-hair general peeked out of his hidden, looked at his comrade, and raised four fingers. He dived out as soon as the men came close and hacked one among the men on the chest, then hurled a dagger into the throat of another archer.
An arrow pierced into his shoulder, the general rolled off the second arrow, then smile as his two comrades leaped at the other two archers and hacked them into two.
The grey-hair general struggled to his feet, ignored the helping hand of his comrades, and grinned out at them. " I may be getting old, but am still as strong as a bull."
He raised his hand towards the arrow stuck in his shoulder, then jerked it off with a scream. He tore off the sleeve of his chest and tie it around his wounded shoulder, and announced. "We move."
Their journey was uneventful and they successfully entered into the midst of the awaiting men on horses who circled them and hacked at any man who dare come close to their range.
Horus hopped at the back of a retreating jihadist and removed his head from his shoulder with a slash.
An arrow was badly shot at him and the arrow stuck into a tree nearby.
Horus hopped close to the amateur archer and dived off the blade of another badly shot arrow. A few steps away from his attacker, Horus pressed a button on his shoulder and an iron rope suddenly plummeted towards the man who raised a bow and arrow.
The rope knocked the arrow off his hand, curled around him and strangle him, then electrocute him.
The man tried to beg, but his lips produce no sound.
Unfortunately for him, the alien jerked him close and then hacked his head off.
The general leading the invaders called out to his men to retreat, but few men were able to hear his calling, and fewer among those who heard were able to obey, as most are wounded beyond recognition and are only praying for a quicker death.
Out of the two hundred and fifty men, only ten escaped with their general, but they were soon tracked by some among Brenda's men, who caught up with them after some hours of training and hacked them all to death, despite the general plea for mercy and promise of gifts.
In truth, we are all willing to give all we have in exchange for our life. Life is priceless, we all crave to live to the fullest, who knows what exists on the other side?
