CHASING THE FOXES OFF
"The mobs before us are growing in numbers and we need to move now." Bobby cried out.
"What of Reagan and the column with him?" Horus asked.
"Is Reagan here?" Apollon777 asked with surprise.
"Yes," Dija answered back. "He is at the other side of the river."
"We need to go back and bring our people along." One among the three generals, who had hacked a man down said.
Maria thinks for a while, then suggest. "Some people can go and informed the men at the other side of the river to attack those jihadists from the back while we attack them from the front. Our combination should be able to destroy them."
"Good idea." The second general supported. "Am sure they won't be able to withstand our joint force.
"How many men did you have at the other side of the river?" Apollon777 inquired.
"Almost two hundred armed men," Dija answered back.
"So what's the plan?" Bobby asked.
"Let the three generals, and Horus lead the team to attack at the rear," Brenda mumbled.
The men, after Brenda's saying quickly raced back and they were followed by Horus. They sneaked into the bush and followed the deserted route that will lead them back to their destination.
The alien's assassins saw the incoming men and aliens.
"He is coming!" One among them exclaimed.
The aliens instantly leaped into the bush beside the route and hide to await the incoming troupe.
"Surprise is our weapon, and our target is Horus, but any human killed along with him should be considered as collateral damage." Another of the alien's assassins let out.
Risha saw Horus among the men returning, then she saw the aliens at his pursuit hidden at the route to attack him.
She added to her speed and raced harder.
The throbbing in her heart grew maddening and the veins in her body were seen shooting out.
Risha stepped on rotten wood, lost her balance, staggered, and swirled forward. But quickly regain her balance, stand upright, and resumed her race.
But her speed seemed not to be enough as the distance between the two parties was covered in a few minutes, and their clashes will soon occur.
A hill lead directly to the route that Horus was coming from and seemed a better option to reach him earlier, Risha swirled and raced down the hill, and cried out as she came near. "Horus! Turn back, Hoorays are hidden on your route."
But the wind decided to whirl backward and all Risha's cries were blown at her. "Damn wind," Risha screamed, leaped up, and raced faster.
She soon covered the distance and appeared close to the incoming aliens and humans.
The alien's assassins from the correctional section saw Horus as he stepped closer.
Fifteen meters.
Fourteen meters.
"Time to attack him." One among the assassin whispered.
The leader of the assassin moved to a better position, brought out a strange bow, and attached an arrow that glow with a kind of light that can be compared to an electric current.
He drawer it back, close his left eye and target the alien among the incoming humans.
The arrow flew off the string and plummeted forward.
Horus was in the middle of the three generals, and they were deep in conversation
.
"We will soon leave the planet earth for you and I suggest you all rally around Brenda and make her the world leader when we leave," Horus announced.
"We will join her team as soon as we deliver the package to our boss and informed him of your mission." The general stepping close to Horus let out.
"Please do, let all hands be on deck to send us out of the earth, but I assured you it won't be an easy task," Horus mumbled.
"Thank you for standing with humans at this trial-" the speech in the general's mouth froze as, at that moment, an arrow blazing with electric current plummeted forward, the general tried to scream out a warning, but the word froze in his mouth when someone dived from the hill beside them and landed in their midst.
"Horus, run. Assassins at your -" the words froze in Risha's mouth as the arrow meant for Horus pierced into her chest and she immediately turned to dark ashes.
Kira and Akira's gang, known as the scepter gang were seen moving together on the main road, they soon reached the place where the former conflicts occurred.
"The aliens need to be dealt with." Akira cried out at the remembrance of the arrow that pierced into her, and the dark dust that followed.
"Let's chase the foxes off first, then we will counsel the chicks," Kira answered back.
The team resumes their journey and reached the villages where children once raced after Brenda and her galloping team.
This time around, the children gaped at the undead warriors and the little ones among them screamed and run off to their mother.
The villagers let the sleeping dogs and ignored the moving mobs.
The gang walked on for hours, and the twins decided to rest at nightfall.
They erect a camp and went inside to relax for the night, after putting some zombies as guards.
"Allow no human or alien to near our camp." Akira let out.
"Kill anything moving that comes near us," Kira added, at the remembrance of Enoch's treachery.
The twins quickly fell into a deep sleep after a tiresome journey and their snoring soon intermixed with the grunting of the undead people.
Far off, some youngsters with weapons were seen sneaking close to the scepter's gang.
Among them was a young plumpy lad and he lead the way, looked wearily at the zombies standing in a circle far off, pointed at one among them, and whispered at his comrade. "That's him, over there."
"Should we call him?" One among the youngster asked.
"No," the plumpy lad replied. "I doubt he can hear us." The plumpy lad went ahead to relate the incidence to his comrades for the tenth time. "I was hidden and I saw one of the witches touching him on the forehead. He shake violently and that deadly gaze and devious grunt was the only sign of living he shows afterward."
"What are we going to do now?" One among the youngster asked.
"I think he is wounded, as I can see a dagger sticking out of his eye." One lady observed.
"What should we do?" The first questioner asked again.
"I suggest we attacked the twins and kill them to free all these people." Another youngster with a toothless mouth announced.
"The twins control them, and I doubt they will react since they were sleeping." The plumpy lad let out.
"Are we attacking or taking our friends out of their bondage?" One among the first speaker asked.
"Only the death of the twins can free them, taking him away is fruitless." The plumpy lad answered back.
"Then let's put them to death." Some among the youngster chorused together.
"I suggest we let bygone to be bygone, I can see we aren't a match for these powerful witches." One cool-headed among the group announced.
"He is our friend, and we can't forsake him because of his foolish decision." The plumpy lad let out.
"Yes," let's put those witches to death." Others announced.
They instantly plunged into the midst of the scepter gang.
The zombies watched the incoming youngsters with keen gazes, then attack them as soon as they got close to the twin's camp.
"We are friends and here to help you." One among the youngster cried out as a man jerked him close and held him in a deadly embrace.
A zombie groan louder and jerked the plumpy lad closer, but the clothing tore off and the lad dived off, then raced back and peered from afar.
But others were not as fortunate as him, as one lady was jerked closer and then hacked to pieces by the sword of a grunting zombie.
The zombie with deadlock hair and a knife sticking out of an eye lead his gang and attacked the retreating youngster.
They slashed at them and put most to death, while some were wounded.
The last thought of the dying youngsters was the rage that they were attacked by the people they want to be free.
In truth, not all deserved help.
