MEDICINE FOR AGED PEOPLE
The inside of the rock is wide and large, and hundreds of eyes peered at the two visitors, as they emerged through the hidden part, into the inner chamber.
"Who are these, and why did you bring them here?" An aged man with grey hair and a crotch screamed out.
"They are friends, and here to help us."
The aged man is the chief of the village, and the safety of all the inhabitants of the village is on his head. He looked angrily at the four young men, then at the two visitors, and let out a growl. "We have nothing, please go away."
"Not yet," Brenda answered back. She removed the bag tied to her back and brought out the scepter. "What did you know about this?"
The aged chief peeked at the scepter in the white lady's hand, sauntered close, and touched the stones adorning it, then the big jade at the edge. He looked at Brenda and asked with a stunned "This is real, right?"
"Yes," Brenda answered back. "This is the scepter of a demigod."
The man nodded his head, raised his wrinkled arm and spread his shaking palm to wipe his face, then exclaimed. "This is Shango's scepter!"
"Yes did you know how to unleash it?" Bobby asked.
"You want to unleash it?" The chief asked with a confusing gaze. "This is the most powerful weapon on earth, and should be made an antique, not destroyed."
"I agreed wholeheartedly with your statement, unfortunately, this scepter is the only weapon that can send the aliens out of the earth." Brenda let out.
The chief smirked at the lady's reply. He looked at the scepter once more, and his face glow with awe and muttered to himself. "I can't believe I will be seeing this with my eyes."
"Did you know how to unleash it?" Brenda asked again.
"Yes, the stones on the bodies of it must be pressed, then the scepter will be charged, and-" the chief halted his speech, scratched his bald head, and looked like a lost kitten, at the eyes peeking at him. "This is all I can remember, but am sure the scepter will burst, and the various part should be inserted somewhere on Zuma rock."
"What will happen when we insert the broken part Of the scepter into the body of the rock?" Bobby asked.
"It was believed that the rock will release the water underneath it and the vapor emitting out will be disastrous to any none human on earth. " The chief answered back.
"Thanks for your help," Brenda muttered, turned to Bobby, and said. "Let's go."
"Wait," the chief cried after the pair. "There is a shortcut that leads to the top of the rock."
The pair whirled around, smiled at the aged man, then followed him as he lead the way.
"Some steps were carved out of the rock with only God-knows-instrument, and it had been here for ages." The aged chief let out, as he climbed the steps up.
"This is perfectly cut, I doubt is the handwork of humans." Brenda exclaimed at the perfect architectural work."
"It will remain a mystery, as no one can answer that question. We used to climb to the top of the mountain, in search of guinea fowl, through this way."
"I bet you had an incredible childhood," Bobby said.
"Yes," the chief answered back. "Except for occasional invasion by the jihadists, my childhood was filled with adventures."
"So you can't remember anything else, concerning the scepter?" Brenda asked.
"No, the tale of the scepter was told to me by my grandfather, who was also the chief of our village, when I was young."
"Can you tell us, please?" Bobby begged.
"Aye, speaking is medicine for aged people, and it's been a long time since I met eager listeners."
Oya, the second wife of Shango was a rich and powerful deity, and Zuma rock was her home.
One day during one of Shango's numerous warfare, he met her, and a loving relationship occurred.
It was believed she was the owner of the scepter, and she had given it out to Shango, out of love.
"Something is vibrating on your body," Bobby announced.
"What? On my body!"
"Yes."
"Ho... Horus gadget!"
"You have completely forgotten about it," Bobby mumbled with a grin.
"Yes, I'm not used to it, since phones no longer work," Brenda answered back, she dipped her hand inside one of the pockets of her trousers and brought out a strange gadget that looked like a phone.
"Accept the call."
"I just did."
"Hello, where are you?" Horus's voice boomed from the other side of the line.
"Somewhere inside Zuma rock, we are on our way to the top."
"We are close to the rock as well, but large warriors of my clan are blocking our way."
"Is there no other way around it?"
"Yes, but it will take us a day journey, and they will pursue us if we retreat."
"You need to come over here."
"Be careful over there, I can see some of our warriors climbing the rock," Horus announced from the other side of the line.
"How many can you see?"
"Hundreds of them." The voice was silent for a while, then let out. "Some are also on the way to the villages at the back of the rock."
"We will be heading back to our camp, as we are only two here."
"They are about to attack us, as well. We will soon meet on the battlefield."
"Yes, let's keep communicating over this gadget," Brenda muttered.
She removed the gadget from her ear and said to the waiting men. "The aliens are waiting for us, at the top of the rock. We will be back, with more men."
"Am always available for you, but please, don't bring the aliens into our hideout. They were the reason we are hidden in the first place."
"Be at ease," Bobby answered back. "We are here to defend you."
The pair turned and descended the rock steps.
