Sons of guns trying to steal horses

"How can we get the twins off our tails?" Bobby inquired as the teams of humans and aliens galloped on.
"They have their means of finding the scepter," Brenda replied back and instantly added. "It will be a great task to get them off our track."
"Let's ignored them and forged ahead," Zuri added after.
"We are resting for four hours when we reached the townlet ahead," Brenda shouted out.
The whole gang soon reached the front of a deserted hall, they descended from their horses and went along with them, into the hall.
They soon fell into a deep sleep because of their weariness.
Eight men sneaked close to the new inhabitants of the deserted hall.
They saw them when they entered the hall and has waited patiently for hours for them to fall into a deep sleep.
The men sneaking closer are after the horses for only one purpose. For consumption.
For days, they had remained hungry after their ransacked foods finished and they later ganged up to kill the numerous dogs that emerged to eat the corpse on the ground.
But the dogs soon became aggressive and attacked back, while those bitten got infected with rabies and soon started dying.
So the men let the mad dog live and preyed on other domesticated animals, but their supply soon diminished as more humans soon joined them in hunting.
After some days of hunger, the people raced after lizards and hopped after frogs and toads, and the supply also last for a while.
Today will make it a week of hunger, the men at the sight of horses wetted their tongues awaiting the incoming dinner.
When satisfied by the silence of those in the hall, the eight men unlock the door and sneaked in.
The whole hall was darkened and the men find it difficult to find where the horses were tied and feared lighting matches in order not to wake the sleeping humans and aliens.
"I can't see." One among the men whispered.
He suddenly stepped on a man sprawling on the ground and cried out as the man jerked him closer and punched him in the throat.
"Let me go."
His voice awoke the rest of the column and an uproar started. Screamings, shrieking, and cries soon followed and five men were seen scrambling out of the hall, while the rest were probably dead or wounded.
Sons of guns trying to steal our horses." Apollon777 cursed aloud.
A few minutes later, the column after being disturbed of their deserving rest climbed their horses and galloped away and was soon swallowed by the entangling darkness.
Horus galloped close to a big gathering of humans and halted in their midst. "Make way for my clans coming behind."
His shrieking voice draw the people close by and they gazed with hatred at him.
"Please spare me your hatred, am just a messenger. And like you, I have no choice." Horus cried out.
"We demand no explanation from you." An angry woman barked at him.
"Pass along with your miserable clan." Another aged man with a stick of cigarette in his toothless mouth yelled and removed his cigarette, then throw it at the alien.
"I urged you to direct your anger to my superior at my back, maybe they may listen to your plight," Horus shouted back.
"Ignore the lone alien looking for attention." One thin man that hopped on a left leg, supported by crutches yelled at him.
And in truth, Horus was seeking attention, so that his presence will be passed to Geisha and his Hooray when they arrived in the territory.
Geisha and his legion of warriors soon hopped into sight and a man on a horse galloped close to them.
"Go and asked if they see anyone or two Hoorays around here," Geisha instructed Sebastian.
" They were afraid of us, but will talk to you." He added.
Sebastian galloped close to the onlookers and inquired as Geisha instructed, and to his surprise, they confirm the presence of the alien some minutes ago.
Damn human, sent to delayed me. In anger, Geisha instructed one of his Hooray to attack the deceiver.
Sebastian at the hearing of Geisha's instruction tried to flee but was instantly cornered by the Hoorays, caught, and dragged toward Geisha.
"Where are the accomplice that sent you to delay me?" Geisha asked with a blazing gaze.
"I'm here alone and have no idea what you are talking about. Sebastian cried back.
"You are sent to delay me, while the rest escaped." Geisha roared back in anger.
"Am here on my own," Sebastian replied.
"Kill him." Geisha shrieked.
"No." Sebastian cried out.
He watched in horror as the alien's weapon loomed closer. His last memory was filled with regrets, pains, and sadness.
"Not when I thought am winning," Sebastian screamed. But his screaming was muffled as his head rolled off his neck.
"Humans may be weak, but they are very cunning, " Geisha warned the Hoorays with him. And at that moment, his phone rang.
"I think there is some error, as I can see Zuri and Horus a hundred miles far from you." A voice said over the phone. "Please turn back now and hopped back to the T-junction where your journey began." The voice on the other side of the phone concluded.
Geisha at the hearing of such a ridiculous conclusion instantly disconnect the call and looked grimly.
"I just murder the only human that wants to help." He screamed out to himself.
Some years ago, some couples gave birth to a girl child and another boy a few years later.
The girl grow up and become a beautiful lady, and was employed as military personnel in the United States.
Her courage and zeal were soon noticed by the men in power and she quickly climbed the ladder of success in a few years.
Then the third world war occurred. the lady was deployed to China, Russia, Iran, and some other antagonist nation to fight for her country.
She was in Bulgaria when the news of her family's death was announced to her. They were all killed by some fanatic youngsters who believed Americans are to be blamed for the ongoing war and decided to be killing anyone related to American soldiers.
When the war suddenly stopped a year later, Brenda came home to meet her empty house and had vowed never to bring an innocent human into the corrupted world. Why have a family you can't protect?
During her deployment time, she had struck a friendship with younger colleagues, and today they are on a mission to save the world.
The column soon galloped into Oyo state but halted at the sight of men in military uniform.
"Are we turning back?" Apollon777 asked.
"Or fighting through." Maria that galloped close to him asked after.
"Wait here." Brenda bade the rest of the column.
She swooped from the horse and walked close to the men who were arranging charred cars and bikes to block the road, but now looked at her menacingly.
Maria suddenly turned at the footsteps behind her and stare at the man behind her.
"You believe I will allow you to get closed to them all by yourself?" Bobby interrogated with a frown.
"We prohibit passing through our state neither did we accommodate strangers into our midst." A fat man with a fat Cuban cigar shouted at the approaching people.
"We are on an urgent mission and begged you to allow us to pass now," Brenda announced back.
"What makes it urgent?" The man asked back.
"We are on our way to save the world," Brenda replied.
The men roared with laughter for a while.
"One man, two women, and two aliens are on their way to save the world." Their leader mimicked back.
Brenda removed the bag from her back and brought out the scepter inside and asked.
"Have you heard about the demigod scepter?"
The men gazed at the scepter for a while and their leader said afterward. "I will allow you to pass if you give me this scepter."
