Most bad things happen for good reasons

"Your shameful defeat is intolerable." Horus's superior officer barked over the phone.
"I wholeheartedly agree and accept any punishment I deserved," Horus replied.
"No punishment yet, except you fail to destroy the scepter after slaughtering all the warriors deliver to you." The voice on the phone replied.
"The scepter will be destroyed in sooner time, sir," Horus acknowledged.
"It better be, as you are having five more days." The voice replied and asked.
"Heard the humans attacking you are large in number."
"Yes, Zuri replied. "Over a thousand humans are on our pursuit." He put in further.
The voice at the other side seemed to grunt with surprise at the unity among humans, he had underestimated them and never believed a man can gather a thousand men despite the calamity that has befallen them.
"I will be sending additional five hundred Hoorays in a few minutes." The voice said after some moment of silence.
"That will be welcomed, sir," Horus replied with a smile.
More men mean more responsibilities.
"Did you know the gain of having six hundred Hoorays under your command?" The voice asked.
"Yes," Horus replied. "Means I have been promoted as a commander." He added after a deep breath.
"Now, you have no excuse to fail." The voice said and added after another moment of silence. "More glory awaits you, just destroy the scepter."
"It will be done, sir," Horus replied, smiled wider as the phone went dead, and muttered softly to himself. "Most bad things happen for good reasons."
A few moments later, another alien spaceship hovered close to the ground and lowered five hundred Hoorays.
Horus immediately took control of the newcomers and instructed them on his plan.
"We move together and fight to protect ourselves as well as our comrades," Horus informed, and added in a louder voice. "Let's prove to them our superiority."
The commander of the barracks gang saw the aliens approaching and he quickly stationed his men at different strategic places where they will pass. "Let's drive them towards the groove down there."
The war between the aliens and the humans raged through the night till the following morning, then till sunset.
Dead and wounded humans and aliens laid on the floor, but the wounded Hoorays were soon made whole by the ten physicians among the aliens, and they instantly sprang up and joined their comrades in a war against humans.
As the men's numbers diminished, others quickly dispersed, and later gathered to pursue the aliens who had already cut through their midst.
Zuri had gathered enough men, and the whole column started on their journey. They traveled through the day and the following night and their numbers keep increasing as they proceed.
One eye saw Zuri staring at a strange machine that looked like a portable TV screen. He walked close to him and asked. "What is that in your hand?"
Zuri smiled at him and said. "It's a machine used in tracking," he shake the device in his hand and added. "with this, I can find out the exact location of Horus."
"How long before we catch up with them?" Sebastian asked.
"We keep walking forward and await them on their way back," Zuri replied. "By then, there will be few Hoorays alive, and I believed they will be tired and exhausted from the journeys and the difficulties along."
One-eye bobbed his head. "We now have over four hundred men that have pledged their allegiance to our cause, I want you to name me their superior leadership, and to be only accountable to you."
"That will be arranged when we have the scepter," Zuri replied. "Please be patient." He added.
The column soon reached the river where Maria and Reagan were abducted, and some among the men went close to drink from it.
"We will be staying here for the night," Zuri announced.
Weary men instantly laid on the grasses and soon fell asleep, but their deep slumbering was cut short by the lighting and thunders that flashes in the night.
"I think rain is coming," Sebastian told the alien and men beside him.
Some among the men stood from the ground and gathered to take off in search of a house close by to hide from the incoming rain, but Zuri cried out at them.
"Warriors should not run from the rain, wind, or any other natural occurrence."
But most ignored him out of panic and soon disappeared into the far darkness.
Zuri shakes his head in sympathy at the weakness of the men at his back.
If they can all scampered at the sign of the incoming rain, what about when they face death?"
At last, the breeze from the east blows the cloud to another faraway land, and a beautiful rainbow soon emerged to dazzle the darken sky after a long time of storms, winds, and whirlwinds.
The war ragged on inside the Lumbar kingdom and lots of dead bodies of men of both warring parties were seen lying lifelessly on the ground, yet there seemed to be no retreat nor surrender.
Brenda was seen surrounded by two big men in blue uniforms.
One struck at her with a long spear, but Brenda leaped out of the reach of the spear, then struck her sword to deflect the blow of another sword slashed at her.
The man with the spear thrust his right leg forward, aiming for her chest in a front kick, but Brenda jumped up, folded her knee and the kick landed on her folded knee, then she slashed her sword sideways to cut the arm of the guard with a sword, then plummeted backward from the force of the man's kick, somersaulted in the air and landed on another guard to knock him down.
Another guard loomed closer with a big sledgehammer, he struck at Brenda's shoulder with a force and tumbled forward as his hit was evaded by his opponent.

The man with the big sledgehammer struck again to crush Brenda's head with a deadly blow, he quickly regain his balance when Brenda dived off the blow, then struck again.
Brenda pretend to dived left, then she suddenly turned right and skidded towards her attacker's legs.
Her force kicked the unstable man off his feet and he staggered forward, then screamed as Brenda hopped on him with two daggers poised forward.
His eyes went huge when the two blades entered into his throat and he tried to cry out, but blood spurted to block his screaming.
Blood splashed on Brenda's face into her mouth and she can feel the warm tasteless liquid and quickly spat it out.
Four men in blue uniform cornered the aged warlord and he fought back, struck at a young inexperienced fighter who leaped forward at him, and cut his head off with a blow.
The warlord screamed in pain when another guard jerked him closer and thrust his dagger into his gut.
The warlord draws the man closer and the blade inside him cut deeper into his gut.
He whacked his head in the man's nose, jerked him up with his left hand and thrust his right hand forwards then strike the man's throat with his folded knuckle.
The man's eyes went wild and staggered backward in a faint.
The warlord removed the dagger in his gut and leaped on the man on the floor to cut his throat.
He slumped and fell on the dead man when another guard whacked a heavy iron on his head.
The guard raised his weapon and struck again at the warlord's head.
The aged warlord instantly rolled off the second blow, kicked the man on his knee, and thrust the dagger into him to cut off his manhood.
The fourth guard chopped the right arm off the warlord's shoulder, he leaped over the failing man and slashed his sword to cut off the second arm, but the man with an arm hopped at him and his force knock him down after wobbling for a while.
He tried to stand in his feet, but the dying man rolled over him and stuck his dagger into his left breast.
The blade slide inside and punctured his heart, then the warlord fell dead on him.
Apollon777 slashed madly at any humans on his front.
The force of his thrust knocked a sword off the hand of a well-muscled man who struck at him and the man leaped on him and kicked Apollons777 weapon with his elbow.
The weapon flew off his hand and stuck into the belle of an approaching guard with a spear.
Apollon777 throw a jab with his right arm into the man's left cheek, jerked him close, and front kick him on the chest with his two knees.
The man fell, rolled, and stood up in a flash. He removed Apollon777's weapon from his comrade with his two hands, grunt to raise it, and looked mystified as the heavy weapon remain stuck on the ground.
"Fool, trying to pick up my weapon," Apollon777 yelled and somersaulted twice toward his opponent.
The man whirled instantly and lunged his right leg at Apollon777's neck, then jumped up, turned midway and folded himself like a ball, then landed on the Alien's chest.
Apollon777 stand at ease and propped forward against the incoming impact, he staggered as the man landed on him and instantly shoved him back by his two palms, the man touched down on his knees in his front.
Apollon777 jumped up, legs raised forward, and kicked the man as he tried to stand up from the ground.
The alien's thrust landed on the man's chest and broke two ribs.
The man fell fainted on the ground, he tried to raise his body to flee, but the alien, fighting against him thrust his hand inside a pouch attached to his waist and removed a dagger blazing with light then slashed it forward and his head instantly rolled off his shoulder.
