Kill the shepherd to scatter the sheep
We all have three different characters, we show the world around us one, our family the other one, while the last is known to us alone.
Horus proved this saying to be fact when he wore a mask over his face and pressed a button beside the dashboard and some gaseous content sprayed out.
"Damn you. Horus!" Zuri leaped out of his seat and raced toward then slumped down and fainted immediately.
All the inhabitants of the spaceship instantly slumped on their seats in deep sleep.
Horus veered the ship around and headed toward the base.
He pressed a button connected to the dashboard to make a call, the phone rang once and was picked up by Geisha on the other side.
"Hello." Geisha's voice boomed inside the ship.
"Am bringing them in now," Horus replied, cut the call, and went close to all the unconscious occupants.
He searched Brenda's bag, clothing, and all her bodies in search of the scepter.
Not there, he searched Bobby, then Apollon777, and the rest of the crew, but the scepter had suddenly vanished into the thin air.
"They will talk when they awake," Horus said with a grim gaze.
The spaceship soon reached the alien's base.
It was a military divisional headquarters before the alien's invasion and the invaders after putting all the inhabitants to death quickly converted it into their base.
Today, five spaceships were seen parked on what used to serve as tarmac, and hundred of Hoorays wandered to and fro in the vast and fenced area.
Horus was seen as he emerged out of the spaceship and walked close to the Hoorays who gawked at him and asked.
"Is superior officer Geisha back?"
The Hoorays bobbed their head sideways to indicate no.
"The ship that will be bringing him and the warriors with him just left some moments before you arrived." One among the Hooray replied.
"Inform him of my arrival when he arrives, and come and wake me up from bed, as I may soon fall into a deep sleep," Horus replied.
"It will be done." The Hooray replied.
Horus drifted like a drunken man as a result of some of the gaseous elements that penetrated his system through some of the wounds in his body.
What Horus released into the spaceship's atmosphere can be compared to a drug known as LSD, except that it's gaseous and deadlier. When it mixed with its prey system, it usually sends them into a dreamless moment that lasted for two hours.
Geisha now fumed with anger at the delay of the spaceship that will be conveying him and his Hooray back to base.
"Always delaying at an important moment," Geisha screamed out at the Hoorays around him.
It had been twenty minutes since he called for a spaceship and until now-.
Geisha suddenly spurned as the spaceship come into sight and hovered close to them, and they quickly ascended and the ship veered around and headed back to base.
"Why did it take you forever to come down here?" Geisha barked at the cowering pilots in the cockpit.
"So sorry but we are servicing all our ships when you called." One among the two pilots replied.
Geisha fumed and sat with a sulking look.
Horus's call had been anticipated, during his little time with them, he had seen the passion reigniting in the young warrior's face and he knew its only a matter of time before he made the right decision.
But Zuri, the fire in the young Hooray's eyes when he shouted back bemused him. If only this passion was put towards this great crusade, then it will be appreciated, but against it?
Maybe his madness will be cured when he is counseled by him, but if he remained adamant on his treason, then all the gods and goddesses together will not save him from his fury.
"In a few moments, I will set my eye on this scepter that had claimed the life of hundred of Hoorays," Geisha muttered aloud, and smile for the third time since he landed on the planet earth.
But unknown to Geisha, when a man or alien propose, only a god or goddess has the power to make it come to pass.
The scepter gang walked on for hours until they reached the place where Brenda and her gang has fought with the Hoorays.
Suddenly, the orbs leading the gang vanished and the twins cried out in anger.
"The scepter has changed location and no longer traveling this way," Kira said.
"Yes." Akira agreed. "How to reach its location before it's been destroyed by the aliens?" She asked after.
"We turned back," Kira replied.
The whole gang instantly turned and retraced their steps back to the T- junction.
Far off, the men in the military uniform had ganged up with Big Tigers men and they blocked the road the gang will be passing.
"Augur," Akira shouted at the man who now lagged due to tiredness and fatigue.
Augur raced forward and soon walked beside the two twins.
"We camp here tonight," Akira said.
"Organized men as guards around our camp," Akira added.
"It will be done." Augur replied with happiness.
He was at the point of collapsing and would have objected if the twins declared war against the men that gathered to block their way back.
Akira and Kira hold each other's hands and walked to a camp bed arranged for them at the end of the camp.
Augur call out to the gang leaders and instructed them to arrange their men as commanded by the twins.
When all have been arranged, Augur sauntered toward the camp bed arranged for him some meters away from the twins and as soon as he lay on the hard floor, he plunged into deeper sleep filled with dreams and nightmares.
Some hours later, the men in uniform along with Big Tigers men sneaked close to the silent camp of the scepter gang.
"The twin's bed is at the rear side of the camp." A voice among the shy visitors whispered.
"We attack them first." Another voice with a hood over his head replied.
"Kill the shepherd, and the sheep will scatter with fear." A voice resembling the voice of the men in military uniform leader announced.
Two cigarettes light flicker some miles far off, and a big man with the silhouette of Big Tiger signaled to a man beside him and they sneaked close to the unaware men who chattered, puffed their cigarettes, and laughed out loud from their jokes.
The cigarettes smokers were seen resting on a mahogany tree and Big Tiger and his right-handed man appeared at their back.
Big Tiger lunged at one of the men, clasped his palm around his mouth to muffle his cry, and at that moment, a dagger materialized in his other hand and slashed the throat of his prisoner, then he grinned as the other guard fell dead on the ground without a sound.
Another two guards were seen crouching beside a bonfire.
Big Tiger motioned to the man beside him and they crouched on their knees close to them.
As they went closer, the snoring of the sleeping men was heard so the men crouched faster toward them, but paused as one among the man suddenly stood up from his crouching position, looked at the two approaching men, and then sit back to resume his snoring.
Big Tiger and his right-handed man for some minute then lunged at the two men.
Big Tiger struck first, his sword plummeted downward and chopped the man's head off his shoulder while his second in command smashed a big sledgehammer on the second man's head as he suddenly stirred awake from the blood of his comrade that splashed on his body.
One guard unexpectedly appeared at the back of Big Tiger and his man and instantly cried out.
"Enemies in the camp!"
Big Tiger stunned around and hurl his sword at the out crying man.
The sword flung forward and struck the man in the chest, and he fell dead instantly.
At that moment, fire suddenly erupted where the twins and Augur were sleeping.
Some minute earlier, Augur was seen walking alone in a dark tunnel filled with cries of the dead and undead.
Suddenly the blazing silhouettes of the twins appeared in his front and Augur screamed out of fear.
"You are all our sacrificial lambs." One among the silhouettes of the twins before him announced.
"No!" Augur exclaimed. "Am your trusted servant and have served you all my life." He begged.
But the two silhouettes ambled close to him and one among them cried back.
"You have escaped death twice, but we need your blood now."
"Please, no." Augur replied.
He tried to flee the presence of the scorching silhouettes that seemed to be drawing the life out of him.
"Please don't kill me."
"Life and death are the same things." The other silhouette replied.
"But your death will serve a greater purpose, that your living may never serve in seven reincarnations."
The other silhouette was added.
The silhouette suddenly appeared beside Augur and whispered in his ear.
"You must die, Augur!"
Augur screamed, woke up with a startle, and screamed again.
"Where am I?"
He instantly leaped out of his lying position and sprawled back on the ground when his head hit the iron used in making the camp bed.
His heart caught the footsteps of some people close by, and he instantly unzipped his bed and walked out into the open environment, then far off to where his camp bed was located.
"I need to ease myself."
And at that moment, a guard suddenly cried out and remained silent. Then the fire erupted. First from twins camp, then to the place Augur just stepped out a minute ago.
