When life knocked you down

Some hours earlier, immediately after the rain and before the Hoorays under Geisha reached the T-junction to turn left, Brenda and the whole column halted to obey Zuri's signal from behind.
"Our superior will always track you through us," Zuri announced.
"But we need your guidance in using the scepter," Brenda replied.
"Yes, Zuri agreed. "I have an idea."
Horus beamed with excitement.
How he wished things were the way it was when Zuri lead and he followed.
"I need Horus to hack into our system and merged the two of us, so that when we part, only one of us will be seen," Zuri announced after some minutes of silence.
"Is that possible?" Brenda inquired.
"Yes," Horus replied and quickly added. "Am a competent hacker and an inventor."
"What's the point in doing that?" Apollon777 implored.
"We will present the faction will want to our pursuer, while will we go the other way," Zuri replied.
"Amazing," Horus mumbled. "You are not only a great leader but a sharp thinker." He let out.
"You gave me a choice, and I won't have got a chance without your competency," Zuri replied.
"But you provide the solution," Horus said with a bow.
"Let's not debate about this, but Horus should start now," Apollon777 said with a sly smile.
"Horus instantly collect Zuri's gadget and hunched on it for some minutes.
"Maybe we should start going while he does this on the way," Bobby suggested.
"No," Horus replied. "I need more few minutes."
"It will take my clans sometimes to reach us because of the rain that just fell." Zuri disclosed.
Some moment later, Horus announced to the team the success of the task.
"I will be parting with Horus." Zuri declared. "You should all come along with me."
"Will Horus go alone as a decoy?" Brenda asked with a concerned gaze.
"I can take care of myself," Horus replied. "Besides, my glitched will be for twenty-four hours, and I need to hack into their system to set another one.
"Please be safe," Zuri said. He patted Horus back and alighted his horse.
The whole column reached the T-junction and they turned left, except for Horus who turned right and galloped alone into the grassy land.
So when Geisha instructed his Hoorays to follow the right way, they were going after Horus and not after the scepter. But they weren't aware but hopped fastly for many hours.
Elenu walked beside Shua and Reagan stepped at their back.
Both couples have tried unsuccessfully to console the lovestruck man but he had remained sulked to himself and sauntered with lacked alacrity.
"Maria is a fighter, and am sure she will excel and will soon be okay." Elenu clarified.
But Reagan ignored and walked on. "I would have been satisfied with her death than all this." He soliloquizes aloud.
"Please keep having faith in her," Shua mumbled with a sad look.
"Tough time don't last," Elenu added.
"Only tough people do," Shua concluded.
"Will she ever be okay?" Reagan asked no one aloud.
"I'm sure she will," Elenu answered back.
"Your Maria will come back to you," Shua added.
Reagan ignored them and looked into the far land ahead. Suddenly, he had lost the tenacity to keep fighting for a living. "I wish I can just die." He lamented.
"And when Maria come looking for you?" Elenu asked.
"Please don't give up," Shua added.
But Reagan had already done.
To him, no other woman is worth spending his life with, besides life has no meaning without Maria.
Now that she was trapped somewhere while her body was taken over by another soul, Reagan suddenly feel the initial suffering and agony surfacing back and wished for the tenth time for death. "Life without Maria is death," Reagan murmured aloud.
"Let me tell you my story before I met my soulmate," Elenu said. He left Shua's side and stepped back close to Reagan.
But Shua soon stepped back and walked beside her lover to listen to his story. She snuggled close and put her arms around her lover's shoulder then listen with rapt attention.
A young man once fell in love with a beautiful lady in his neighborhood. He express his feeling to the lady one day and she accepted his love advance. And a beautiful relationship soon transpired.
There was a perfect union, except for one error, the lady's family was richer and more influential than the man's family.
During their courtship, the lady's mother did all within her power to break the relationship, and she had her chances when the son of the town's ambassador asked for the lady's hands in marriage. At last, the perfect relationship that had been the envy of the whole locality was shattered in a few hours, and the man after trying for several months to reclaimed back his lover gave up on love and vowed to remain single forever.
"Until I met the one destined for me," Elenu concluded his story. Looked at Shua beside him and smiled with excitement.
"The key is not to give up but keep believing," Shua explained.
"When life knocked you down," Elenu quoted.
"Pick something up," Reagan concluded.
Zuri and Horus may have fooled Geisha and the Hoorays with him, but not Kira and Akira.
The scepter gang soon reached the T-junction and turned left in pursuit of the scepter.
They walked on for hours and only allowed the men with them to rest for a few hours before commencing on their journey again.
"We have no more time to wait," Akira shouted.
"We can't go back without the scepter and must not lose sight of our orbs." Kira cried out to some men who by now are demanding more time to relax.
The man, at last, arouse from their slumbering and they marched out after the scepter.
Geisha and the Hoorays with him hopped for hours in pursuit of the scepter. Whenever Geisha called to confirm, he was assured he was on the right road and will soon meet up with the scepter, so they hopped on.
Yet, the reason why will Zuri and Horus will stoop so low to associate with humans baffle him.
Perhaps is because of the penalty of their failure, which is death.
To Geisha, death is not to be feared but seek and embraced whenever it appears. And this is the message he always passed to all Hoorays fortunately enough to pass through him during their training.
When honor is in one eye and death is in the other eye, he always urged them to go for honor, and should always love the name of honor more than the fear of death.
Zuri and Horus even when killed will be remembered as braves warriors who embrace and smile at the face of death when duties call. But now, all they have ever worked for, all they have ever acquired will be lost in a moment of fear.
Geisha bobbed his head as a sign of compassion for the two Hoorays who rise and fall in a few moments. A tale that will be told during the nighttime to warn the younger Hoorays of the error in fear of death.
"When my death comes, I will walk towards it and duel with it, then smiled as he triumphs over me." Geisha soliloquize and looked more grimly at the empty road ahead.
But before death, Geisha's greatest aim is to destroy the scepter to get his name written on gold to be known by the incoming generation.
"I will soon be called the scepter's destroyer, I just can't fail."
