To catch a monkey
Elenu and the villagers have reached the gate of the Lumbar kingdom.
Some guards were seen at the tall outpost overlooking the whole environment, and one of them instantly cried out.
"Who are you, and why are you here?"
"We seek the presence of Zuma," Elenu replied.
"Are you referring to our king?" The man asked back.
"Yes," Elenu answered back.
He had heard from Bobby about the conflict and Zuma's injury and he is more than eager to see his buddy after a long time of separation.
The gate was soon opened and the whole column sauntered inside.
"We are from Brenda, and she send her greetings," Shua announced as the guards came closer.
The guards at the hearing of Brenda's name grinned and welcomed the newcomer into their kingdom and instantly relieved them of their bags.
"How is the king's health?" Elenu inquired from the guards.
"Our king is getting better, but relaxing as at this present moment." One of the guards replied.
"Am happy to hear that," Elenu mumbled.
"I will be informing him of your presence as soon as he is available, but before then-" the guard speaking paused and whirled toward the guard beside him, then resumed his speech. "Please take them to the quarters behind the palace, while we arranged permanent accommodation for them."
It was the following morning before Elenu and Shua had the opportunity to meet with Zuma and both men hugged each other.
"Welcome to my humble palace," Zuma announced with a smile.
"Am happy to finally meet you again," Elenu replied.
Zuma shake Shua's palm and said. "I can see you are taking care of my boss, he has added more flesh since I last saw him."
"Thank you for welcoming us into your kingdom," Shua mumbled.
Elenu laughed out for a while, hold his lover's arm and both walked towards a cushioned chair in front of the throne to seat.
"Hope your wound is getting healed?" Shua inquired.
"Yes," Zuma replied. "One eye is better than total blindness."
Elenu and Shua bobbed their head at Zuma's appreciative mindset.
"Where are Brenda and the rest of the family?" Zuma implored.
"On their way to use the scepter," Elenu replied.
"Am happy it was finally collected from the twin's possession," Zuma announced.
"And am happy you are back on your throne, even though you never for once told me anything about this," Elenu declared.
"Am sorry if I mislead you in any way, please walk a mile in my shoes, and you will agree with me that secrecy is necessary at that time," Zuma answered back.
"The ends justify the means," Elenu said.
"Where are you lodging?" Zuma asked after bobbing his head at Elenu's words.
"We are staying with the rest of the crew at quarters behind your palace," Shua replied.
"Why not moved inside the palace with me?" Zuma begged. "This place contains twenty rooms and it's too big for me alone. "
"Thank you," Elenu replied with a wide smile.
"A friend in need," Zuma said.
"Is a friend indeed," Shua concluded.
The leader of the men in uniform gazes at the scepter in his front and instantly desires it.
It's adorned with gold and rubies." One among the men in his back cried out.
"Give it to me, and I will let you pass." The man repeated his offer.
"That will be impossible because this is not just a scepter, but the only known weapon that can save the world," Brenda shouted back.
"It needs to reach its final destination." Zuri who just hopped close to the conversing people added.
"And when it reaches its final destination?" The man asked back.
"Then it will be launched to destroy all the aliens on earth," Apollon777 answered back.
The men gazed surprisingly at the two aliens in his front, then their leader exclaimed. "You are helping humans to destroy your clans!"
"My clans have forgotten our mission and have gone astray at the sight of power and riches," Zuri answered back.
"What is your mission for invading earth?" The man asked back.
"To enlighten humans of their errors and destructive lifestyle," Zuri answered back.
"Ha... Ha... Ha..." The men in uniform roared with laughter at Zuri's speech. Lllllllllsaagsaa
"Pollution, mining, deforestation, gaming, the killing of innocent animals for food, and other behaviors of yours are destroying our home," Zuri explained further.
"Earth belongs to humans and we must be left alone to determine its fate." The man replied after some minutes of silence.
"You are wrong," Zuri said. "Earth belongs to all of us; humans, aliens, elves, banshee, animals, plants, and every other unnamed species." He clarified further.
"You just came from your place to destroy our home." The man standing close to the leader said, after a silence.
"Earth is our home as well," Zuri replied, paused, and quickly asked. "Have you ever heard of the first woman created on earth, named Lilith?"
"We have heard of Madona and Moana but not of Lilith." One man jeered back. And his jeering caused another uproar of laughter.
"We knew musicians and entertainers and not strange species like the name you just mentioned." Another young man that look like a gangster with his style of haircut and tattoo shouted amidst the uproar of laughter.
"She was created along with Adam but left when the union fail," Zuri explained further.
"And why did you decide to eradicate all of your clan on earth?" The unconvinced man asked.
"Our mission has been compromised, and this is the reason why we ganged up in support of humans to save the world," Zuri replied.
"Can you now see the reason why you need to allow us to pass through?" Brenda begged.
"Apart from the aliens on our pursuit to destroy the scepter, another gang was also after us to acquire the scepter for their gain," Bobby added.
The men in uniform deliberate for some moment and the leader announced after their reasoning.
"We are not allowing you to pass-" the speaker paused, laughed out loud, and gazed stupidly at the men in his front, then resumed his speech. "But I will be sending a hundred men along with you, while the rest will await the gang and the aliens coming."
Brenda smile and bowed at the man's generosity, "we appreciate your kindness." She replied after.
The man tapped the big man beside him and instructed him to arrange a hundred warriors and horses to accompany Brenda and her gang on their mission.
"Lead the team, and come back to inform me of the success." He barked at the outgoing man, then saluted back as the man whirled back to salute him.
Geisha and his Hoorays were seen preparing for their journey after some hours of rest when Geisha's phone rang.
"Climbed the bridge you will be seeing ahead of you and turned left, they are fifty kilometers ahead." The voice on the other side of the call announced.
"I hope you are not making any more mistakes this time around?" Geisha asked with a frown.
"I'm sure of their present location and will be sending it to you in a few moments." The voice replied and the phone was instantly disconnected.
Geisha gazed into the sky in silence, but the silence was soon shattered as Geisha's gadget vibrate.
The two dots on the screen support the caller's claim but something seemed fishy.
The thin man had claimed Zuri and the rest of the clan are heading towards Niger state, while the two dots were seen walking towards another state in the opposite direction.
Suddenly, the reality dawned on him and he smirked at his discovery.
Zuri and Horus had hacked into the tracking system and had probably created a decoy to confuse him.
This must be the reason why dots appeared at different locations in a shorter time.
Or maybe they have separated while he chased after the one without the scepter.
All these are probabilities Geisha need to look into, so he stood in deep thought.
To catch a monkey, one must be ready to imitate them.
Geisha shoot his hand towards the place where his phone was fixed and dial a call.
The phone rang thrice and was picked by a voice with a heavy baritone.
"At your service, sir."
"I want you to station fifty Hoorays at every fifty kilometers along the way to Niger state and instruct them to inform me instantly, whenever they sighted any of our targets." Geisha barked back.
"In a moment, sir." The voice replied.
Four hours later, the Hooray tracking Zuri and Horus called back to confess his error, when he discovered the dots he was tracking had mysteriously emerged at another different location.
Geisha in anger ordered his death and plucked off his phone, then hurled it on a stone close by, out of frustration.
But another ringing phone was instantly brought to him.
He listened for a while, smiled for the second time since he stepped on his feet on earth.
"One of our has been seen and we will be moving towards them in a few moments," Geisha announced and his announcement make the Hoorays around him leap up in excitement.
Geisha dialed a number on the phone in his hand and barked out immediately the call was accepted. "I need a spaceship that can carry five hundred Hoorays with me."
The voice on the other side of the call paused for some seconds then the man replied. "All spaceships were on transit and it will take some minutes."
"I need one as soon as possible," Geisha yelled at the phone in his hand and instantly disconnect the call.
