Free at last
An alarm sounded somewhere inside Gujarat town, awaking the whole sleeping inhabitants.
In a flash, the dead town became alive. Armed men raced towards the broken wall and were met by One eye's men. Sparkles of fire were seen as iron collided with iron and men grunts, screamed, and cried out as they killed and were killed.
But the Hoorays went through the warring team, cutting down any human who dared stand in their way.
Some guards fired at the invading aliens, it struck three of them and they furiously charged after the shooters.
The men retreated, and dispersed among the houses scattered within the town, the three angry Hoorays went separately in search of their attackers.
They turned left and raced after the men.
"One of them is coming." A guard whispered to three guards with him. They immediately reasoned among them to await the incoming alien.
"We can't keep running from them." One of them cried out.
"I have a plan, another man shouted back.
He whispered at his comrades and they immediately climbed the truck beside them.
The Hooray walked boldly, far off, he saw a truck parked blocking the road and believed the retreating men are hidden beside it.
He immediately removed a weapon that looked like a human sword, but longer and blazing with fire.
He cautiously walked towards an ambushed.
The four guards waited patiently, they had positioned an enormous rock on a plank and all hand is on deck to roll it on the approaching alien.
Two more steps, a step, immediately, a signal was passed by the team leader, to be followed by grunts from men as they propelled the enormous stone on the alien and a loud clatter was heard as the stone landed on the head of the unsuspecting alien, who instantly fell unconscious on the ground.
The men quickly jumped down, heaved the heavy stone off the unconscious alien, and tied him up. Then they dàaraagged him inside a hidden tunnel located inside Gujarat town for existing and entering in time of war and emergence.
Where is Brenda now?" Zuri asked Horus who walked beside him.
Three Hoorays stood guarding them in the front, while another three stood at their back.
"Somewhere inside that wall." He replied pointing inside a room attached to the wall.
"And the frail-looking man that called us?"
"Somewhere this side," Horus replied, pointing at the left side of their location.
Zuri thought for a while, then ordered two Hoorays to search for Brenda within the wall and bring her back to him. Then he sends another two Hoorays to search for Sebastian as well.
A guard was caught and brought out to him.
"Where is the scepter kept?" Zuri asked the wounded guard, who squirm in his front.
"Inside Olumo rock." The frightened man replied trembling.
Blood oozed from the place his ears were once located and a knife was seen stuck at the back of his shoulder.
"Lead the way," he commanded.
The Hoorays dragged the man along towards Olumo town.
They fought their ways through the guards stationed at the entrance and emerged inside the town.
Far off, what looked like a shrine seemed to be the ideal place for keeping a scepter.
Zuri removed his sword and cut off the guard's head.
"If you can betray your fellow men, then you are no more useful to the Hoorays."
Horus nodded in agreement. "Let's go get the scepter."
"Yes," Zuri replied with a smile.
The Hoorays walked inside the inner chamber of the shrine.
Durell heard the sound of the alarm, he immediately knew they had been invaded. But by who? Human or aliens or probably both.
"How I wish the twins were here." He bemoaned aloud.
He summoned some of the men with him to quickly raced towards Gujarat town to find out the causes of the commotion and instructed others to guide the entrance into the shrine.
"Allow no human inside." He roared at his men, then entered into the sacred shrine.
He hate doing this and wish for the tenth time the twins were here to command him.
But left alone with the enormous task of protecting the scepter."
"I can't do this." He cried out, swirled inàto the inner side of the shrine, and paused with a shocking look.
"Damn serpent." He screamed and ran back towards the existence, and knocked his feet on the stone In his path, staggered, then fell flat on the ground, he immediately raised himself and raced out of the inner chamber of the shrine.
"I hate snakes." He screamed, then turned sideways to check the snake in his neck.
Shocked! " where is my snake?" Far off, a golden chain glittered on the ground.
"Did it cut off when I fell?" He asked no one aloud, but glad it did.
Only the serpent in his neck had guaranteed his devotion to the twins and their scepter. Now that he is free, Durell sees no reason why he should keep guarding the shrine at the order of twins.
"Let the goddamn snake protect it or let the demigod do that himself." He screamed and disappeared among numerous houses built inside Olumo town.
He met some invaders along the way and dodge among the various cars parked everywhere. He neared the broken wall and jumped over out of Gujarat town.
Apollon777 watched the Hoorays as they entered Gujarat town. He heard the cry of war that followed and was about searching for Brenda and her people when he saw two Hoorays approaching him.
"How did they know I'm here?" He asked no one aloud.
Recollection settling in, the Hoorays machine he had collected from Brenda is still hidden somewhere inside his furs.
"Damn machine." Now the aliens are searching for him with the belief that they were looking for Brenda.
Apollon777 dipped his hand inside his fur, removed the alien's machine, and disappeared among the rooms attached with the wall.
He saw the two Hoorays as they searched for him among tens of rooms attached to the wall. "Let them come, am ready for them." Apollon777 smiled as he lay ambushed for the unknown Hoorays.
