BLOOD IS THICKER THAN WATER
The bloodless and peaceful environment surprised Yaris, who was expecting a gruesome welcoming sight.
The human gang was lined up on the south side of the rock, while the aliens were on the north side.
So Yaris and his new warriors have no choice but to step into the middle and the rock was instantly filled to the brim.
Yaris's eyes scanned the whole rock, in search of Horus, and when he saw him surrounded by his warriors, he sighed and walked towards them, then cried out as he get closer.
"Merry to meet you now, Horus."
"There is nothing merry at your sight, Yaris." Horus cried back.
"I warn you that the humans will give you up to save their skins, that was why we always say that blood is thicker than water."
"Even your blood can betray you," Horus smirked back.
"I have no time to banter words with you, Horus." Yaris let out, walked closer, and stepped in the front of one named Hooray, then glare at him as he asked. "Why are you not killing all these humans?"
"You ordered us to arrest Horus, and this we have done. We have a petition before we resumed our duty to the crown."
"Petition? I have no time for murmuring and grumbling. You can submit your petition to those at the appropriate position because is no concern of mine."
"You are our commander, and you must listen to us now."
"It's our right to complain, and you won't intimidate us out of it ."
"Listen to us first, and you will know if our petition concern you or not."
Yaris peered at the revolting Hoorays and murmured to himself. "That sly son of a bitch had corrupted you all, in my absence!"
"You have to listen to us, or our followers will revolt." The Hooray let out.
"I can order for your death because of your insubordination."
"You will listen to them and hear them out first," Horus growled out.
"You are a bile on a chunk of meat, and I should have ordered for your death, and not arrest, but before all gods and goddesses, I will deliver you to the crown dead, or alive."
"Your vows were empties, and you either succumb or we will all be one of the minor characters in the history of the earth's first invasion," Horus answered back.
Yaris wondered for a while about Horus's reply, but his wandering mind was jolted alive when he remembered the scepter is still at large. "Where is the scepter?"
"Listen to your warrior first, and I promise to tell you after."
Yaris turned to the anxious-looking Hooray beside him and asked. "What did you have to say."
"We have decided to seize warring against humans, as we have all committed the crime we accused them of."
"What crime are you talking about? "
"Polluting mother earth, we have all fired our weapons of destruction, hereby guilty as charged."
"Then fight them with your other weapons!"
"How can we punish them, when we are all culprits of the same crime?"
"You dare disobey my order?"
"Yes, because it's contrary to the first and the most important truth."
"Oh, that?" Yaris asked back with a shocking gaze. "Horus compels you all into doing this?"
"Nay, he only reminds us of the truth."
"I don't care about you or him, or all of you." Yaris fumed with anger as he screamed, point his last finger at the speaking Hooray, then at Horus, and at last at the rest of the mutinous warriors, and let out. "I only care about the scepter, and you and your damn truth can go to hell."
Pointing the last fingers, among the aliens, is the worst of all insults and in most cases, blood always flows
"We have already been there, and the scars on our bodies are proved that we are survivals," Horus answered back.
"And what will you all do? I can order my troops to fire and kill you now."
"Just a shot, and we will all be wiped off the surface of the earth," Horus smirked back.
"What did you mean?" The stunned-looking Yaris asked with a murderous glare.
"The scepter will be unleashed as soon as your warrior fire the first shot," Horus answered back.
"You either listen to us, or we will all die together."
"Aye, you can't force us to fight against the truth."
"We are ready to pay the price for our sins, shoot an arrow, and we will all be dead in a second."
"You are beaten, Yaris. Now tell me how committed you are?"
Horus's tease brought Yaris out of his thought, and he scowl back. "This is not over, Horus." Then veered at the mutinous Hoorays and announced. "I will need to need to inform the king and the senates of your insubordination, and of course, the risk you have now put our whole clan on earth-" he stopped his speech, grinned deviously as thought raced through his mind, then resumed his speech. "- you will need to give me some hours to get the order that will prompt my decision."
"Take your time," one among the team leader let out.
"Until then, Horus must not leave your sight for a second."
"You are in no position to order us around, but we shall give you the last respect and honor you." Another Hooray answered back.
Yaris walked off the sight of Horus and his new accomplices, jerked his phone as he stepped into the midst of the incorruptible ones, and dial the Senate leader's gadget.
The line rang thrice and was picked by the familiar voice of the senate leader.
"Hello, have you gotten the scepter?"
"No," Yaris muttered back. "There is a bigger problem at hand."
"Another problem?"
"Some section of my warriors have been corrupted by Horus, and they are now in support of humans. The scepter is about to be launched, and I was given the option of either accepting defeat, or being annihilated as the scepter will be unleashed as soon as one of my warrior fire an arrow."
"That's indeed a precarious condition, and we will be deciding on this, as soon as possible. Until then, do all you can and leverage the condition to our favor."
"I will do all I can," Yaris muttered, disconnect the call, and scowl in defeat. A feeling so strange that he suddenly burst into tears at his hopeless situation.
"There must be another option." One among the speechlessly looking Hoorays grimaced at their commander's outburst.
"I trust him, he is wise and calculative, and I believe he will find a way out." Another onlooker let out.
And in truth, the crying half-breed soon cleaned his tears off, then smiled as thought raced through his mind.
"I told you, he won't accept defeat."
"Aye, I knew of his wisdom when he console the frightening Hooray, instead of killing him for his chicken cries.
The voice of the exited Hoorays can be heard, as Yaris whispered among a selected group of his warriors.
