Twelve more hours

The battle inside Gujarat town raged on, and casualties between the two warring teams increased.
Few aliens caught in-between are also slaughtered, yet there seemed to be no retreat, nor surrender.
Ten scepter's gang members cornered one alien and surrounded him.
The Hooray fought bravery, killing and maiming some, when a young man with dynamite tied around his body razed towards the alien, embraced him as the dynamite exploded.
He died instantly, but the alien fell unconsciously on the floor with a mutilated body.
One among the scepter's gang members removed the alien weapon from his hand and cut his head off.
Zuri's phone rang and he immediately picked up the call with a frown.
A man's voice was heard shouting at the top of his voice.
"Today is the last day, Zuri."
"Yes sir, I will be destroying the scepter today," Zuri replied.
"Did you know the repercussions of your failure?" The voice over the phone asked.
"Yes," Zuri replied. "I will get the scepter and destroy it today.
"Twelve more hours, Zuri." The voice hissed over the phone and disconnect the call.
Zuri gawked with sadness at his failure. It won't have come to this, if not for the twins.
Now his life is a stake as there are only two options. Either he destroy the scepter today or commit suicide.
In Hooray's clan, offenses are only punishable by death, and failure is among the greatest of all crimes.
Zuri is never afraid of death, no Hooray is.
To them, life and death are the same, We live, die, and then be reborn until we reach nirvana.
So Zuri's fear is not of death, but of the stigma associated with dying as a failure.
Everything he had labored for will be destroyed in a second and the unborn Hooray will hear of a man who failed in his mission and pay for it with his life.
Closed by, Brenda, Bobby, and Zuma stood glaring at him, so he walked close to them and said. "I need the scepter today."
"Enoch won't give up until the scepter except the twins come," Bobby replied.
"Command your people to stop murdering the villagers in cold blood," Brenda said.
"Not until I have the scepter," Zuri responded.
"But you said you are doing this for us."
"Yes," Zuri replied. "Some have to be killed for others to survive, am sorry, but it's called collateral damage.
"Damn bastard," Bobby muttered softly and he quickly grimace as Brenda fussed at him.
"You can wait until the twins come," Brenda said.
"They will meet the remnant of their people." Zuri declared.
Who asked for the twins?" Akira cried out, walked majestically inside, and was followed by her twin sister.
Brenda peeked at the two beauties coming inside the Olumo rock.
She deduced they should be in the range of eighteen to nineteen years, yet their hardened face seemed to be etched by countless discipline, actions, and reactions.
She immediately knew the twins represent only one thing, evil.
"Is that the famous Kira and Akira?" Zuri asked with a sly smile.
"You bet," Akira answered. She looked from human to aliens and then to the scepter and Enoch beside it.
"Welcome," Enoch said, with a slight bow. " You can now have the scepter.
"Not yet, Enoch, Kira announced.
"Who are you?" Akira asked, facing Brenda, Bobby, and Zuma.
"We are friends," Bobby replied with a smile.
"This is out of bounds to you all." Akira declared.
"I will be leaving immediately after I have the scepter," Zuri answered back.
Kira and Akira laughed for some seconds, then Akira said. "You can never have what you seek."
"Then I will kill all your people. I have ordered my warrior to bring the king and queen down here." Zuri replied.
"You are mistaken," Kira shouted at him. "They are just our mortal parents."
"We are not humans," Akira added.
"I can kill you two here now." Zuri threatened with a glare.
"I advise you not to try anything you can't finish," Akira answered back.
Zuri looked at the two twins, he removed his weapon, hovered it forward, and sprinted towards the twins, few more steps for his weapon to pierced into Akira's chest, a ball of light suddenly plummeted towards him, he somersaulted backward in the air and landed on his back.
"I warn you," Kira said.
Zuri stood up confused. How are these two ladies so powerful?
To him, all humans are weak and coward.
If they are not human, then what are they?
He can't fight, so he change his tactic and begged. " My superior will have my head today if I don't deliver the scepter."
Akira whispered in her sister's ear, she bobbed her head as her sister whispered back, then she look at Zuri and said. "We can protect you."
Zuri laughed out wildly. "Nothing can protect me, am commanded to commit suicide in the next eleven hours if I don't have the scepter."
"We can protect you," Akira repeated.
"You will join us, and together we will reorient humans on the right way," Kira added.
Zuri stood for some seconds in deep thought.
He scratched his hair and walked to and fro inside the rock.
The twins offer to protect him while his people commanded him to kill himself.
He only has a few more hours to live if he says no while saying yes may offer him more hours or maybe days. Yet, where is the honor in this? There is no honor in uniting with humans, but did he have another choice?
"What's going on?" Zuma whispered at Brenda.
"I think he will say yes," Brenda replied in a whisper.
"What is your response? Akira asked.
" What did you want from me in return?" Zuri asked.
"Kill all your Hoorays here," Kira replied.
"And you have proved your loyalty to us," Akira added.
"That can be done," Zuri said with a devious whisper.
He removed his weapon and walked closed to the unconscious four Hoorays and cut off their head.
The Hooray's physician chooses the unfortunate time to enter into the rock, so Zuri hurl the weapon at him, it struck him on the head and he fell dead immediately.
"And these humans here, are they your friends?" Akira asked.
"No Zuri replied. She seeks the scepter as well."
Akira looked towards some of the guards at his back and said. "Arrest them."
Bobby immediately draws his sword and prepares to strike at the guards near him.
"No," Brenda whispered. "We can't beat them, not now. She removed her sword and dropped it on the ground. "No need to fight."
Bobby and Zuma also dropped their weapons.
Ten armed men rushed towards the trio, they tied them with a rope and pulled them by the legs on the ground towards the outside of the rock.
"kill them outside the wall," Kira commanded.
"And come back with their heads," Akira added.
"How many of your men remaining?" Akira asked Zuri.
Zuri checked his palm and said. " Ten here with me, ten at home, and three are on a mission.
"Kill all the ten here, then we will go to Guara town and kill the remaining ten, the other three will be killed when they are back."
"Aye," Zuri replied, and immediately walked out of the shrine.
"Go and help him in the fight," Akira commanded all the armed men in the shrine, and they all marched after Zuri.
Apollo777 hideout was a tunnel underneath the broken wall.
He can see the outside of Gujarat town through a hole made when the wall fell. Far off, he noticed a group of armed men dragging some humans on the floor and marching out of the broken wall.
"Brenda and her gang!"
Apollon777 cried out, and instantly run after them.
Brenda draw her mouth closed to the polo of her shirt and removed a blade hidden in her shirt. Using her mouth, she cut the rope bounding her hand, somersaulted, and crashed at the legs of the man holding the rope.
The man fell immediately.
Brenda rolled on top of him, snatched his weapon, and cut his throat immediately.
She then lunged forward, cut the rope holding Bobby, then Zuma.
The three men immediately attacked the scepter's gang member and a fight ensued.
Apollon777 saw the fight from far, he increased his speed and pray to meet them alive. "Twenty men against three, this is an unfair fight." He screamed and plunged into the midst of the confrontation.
