WHEN YOU LOVE SOMETHING

King Zuma was seen in his royal palace, he sat on his royal throne and listened to the conversation going on.
Dressed in a gold embroidered regalia, with a white half-shoe and a golden wristwatch.
"What is your decision?" Zuma inquired from the people in his front.
"I'm going after Maria," Reagan replied.
"You can't survive outside alone," Elenu announced.
"Am already dead without Maria," Reagan replied.
"They promised to come here when they are through with their mission." Zuma let out.
"It's been a week, yet they are not back. I need to see Maria." Reagan mumbled.
"I understand how you feel, but think of your safety as well." Elenu let out.
"You don't, because you have Shua with you." Reagan cried back.
"Please allow me to go in search of my lover. "
Zuma looked at the lovestruck man for a while, then at Elenu beside him and announced. "I will arrange a hundred guards to go along with you."
"Thank you, King Zuma," Reagan replied.
"I will go along with you," Elenu said.
"No," Zuma replied. "Shua will strangle me if I allow you. Besides, I need your presence around me."
Elenu looked grim, but for a while. He shake the man beside him, stood up and bow at the king on the throne, then marched upstairs to meet his partner.
After Elenu left, Zum fixed his gaze at the young man in his front and said. "I heard your woman has lost her memories of you, and only seeks the attention of the alien with us?"
"Yes," Reagan replied. "I still can't forget about her."
"What if she still can't recollect who you are?" Zuma asked.
"It doesn't matter, I just need to be sure she is okay," Reagan replied.
"Love is not all about having but letting go. When you love something, set it free." Zuma advised.
"And if it comes back to me?" Reagan asked.
"Then it's yours," Zuma replied.
"What if she doesn't?" Reagan asked with a fixed gaze.
"Then she is never yours," Zuma replied.
"What about fighting for love?" Reagan asked. "Like the movie of Troy I watched before the knockout."
"Yes, it happens in movies and novels, but not in real life. Love is like a bird, it may be perched with you today, and fly off tomorrow, to come back later or never." Zuma answered back.
"Thank you," Reagan replied. "Will you still assist me with hundred of guards?" He asked after.
"I will, as promised." Zuma replied, then asked, "Can I ask you a question?"
"Go ahead, please," Reagan replied.
"What if at the end of everything, you still don't have Maria?" Zuma asked.
"Then I will remain a bachelor for life." The lovestruck man replied, stood from his seat, bowed to Zuma the king, and walked out of the palace.
Zuma watched the young man leave. For a moment, the memory of his love streamed into him.
He had met the woman he later married when he was just seven years old.
It was the naming ceremony of the kingdom's warlord daughter, and the royal king of Lumbar was the father of the day and went along with his only son, the heir to the throne of Lumbar kingdom.
After the ceremony, the young prince had childishly asked his father to buy the new beautiful baby for him as a wife, and the whole assembly had laughed out at his declaration, but not the king.
That day, an arranged marriage was made between the king's son and the warlord's daughter.
When the couples reach adolescence, the whole Lumba kingdom celebrates the most elegant wedding, and the couples began a journey of togetherness.
Unlike most arranged marriages, the feeling between the couples instantly boomed, wherever the heir is seen, so also his wife.
Like a snail's attachment to its shell, both couples soon became so dependent on each other, and when the gods deemed them fit to be a parent and blessed them with kids, the union became perfect.
Then the king died in mysterious circumstances, and the town unanimously chose the heir to the throne as their new king.
Most sweet things don't last long, so the story of King Zuma and his queen.
Tragedy struck one day when the king's brother planned a palace coup and murdered all the king's loyalists, imprisoned the queen, who later died in prison, killed the king's heir, and place a bounty on the king's head.
Before the wicked are judged, things will have gone beyond restoration, so goes the old saying.
"Zuri had been found." A voice, from the speaker attached to Geisha's wing, boomed from the other side of the call.
"Send me the location now." Geisha barked back. Disconnect the call and instantly marched out to meet the awaiting Hoorays online. "Zuri had been found, we will be moving in a few minutes."
The Hoorays instantly scampered into the spaceship.
A few minutes later, Geisha ascended the steps into the spaceship, marched to the pilot's side and sat at the nearest seat to the cockpit, then inquired from the pilot.
"Have you seen the location?"
"Yes." One of the aliens in the cockpit replied.
"Thirty minutes according to human's time." The other pilot replied.
"Let's move," Geisha announced.
The spaceship was soon seen ascending into the sky, then out of sight.
Brenda's column was seen relieving tension beside a big river. Far off, the bridge that served as a border between Oyo state and Kwara state could be seen.
"How far to Niger state from here?" Zuri asked Maria who sat close to him.
"It's the next state after this, and we should be there in two days," Maria replied.
"We should move now," Apollon777 suggested.
"These people are tired and need to rest for a while," Brenda said.
Zuri muttered something in a strange language and Apollon777 instantly laughed.
"What did he just say," Bobby asked.
"No idea," Apollon777 replied with an innocent gaze.
"He said humans are bunches of pansies and easily get tired," Maria explained.
"That's amazing," Brenda said after a long moment of silence that followed Maria's explanation.
"What!" Bobby exclaimed. "This alien just insulted us, and all you can say is amazing."
"Am not referring to Zuri's words, but to Maria's ability to understand his speech," Brenda replied.
"Maria is no longer hear." The voice speaking through Maria's announced. "Shuferuan language is spoken by both Hoorays and Apollons." She explained further.
"Men behind us," Brenda screamed out and all eyes instantly peered at the approaching gang on a horse.
"They are few in numbers and can't stand against us," Bobby said.
"Nevertheless, time is against us, and they will delay us if we stopped to fight against them." Brenda let out.
"I suggest Brenda, Maria, Apollon777, and Bobby should continue the journey, along with some men. While I lead the team to counter-attack those on our trail." Zuri said.
"How will you find us?" Bobby asked.
"I have one of the Apollon777 tracking devices with me, and I will catch up with you in a day," Zuri replied.
"Good, we will dawdle along to await you," Brenda said. Whirled her horse and was followed by half of the column, while the rest formed a blockage and await the gang racing towards them.
Brenda looked back, saw Zuri peeking at him and she waved back. Unknown to her, this is the last time she will be seeing the alien with an angelic heart.
