Chapter 60

Alice felt an itch on her waist, scrunched up her face, and wiggled around, trying to dodge whatever was bugging her. But that little move made David's eyes darken. What started as a gentle touch turned into him grabbing her waist tight, pressing his whole body against hers through the blanket.

Her lips were kissed until they were hot and red, and even her breathing got all fast and heavy. David didn't push it further; he just gave her a soft peck and then pulled back.

In the light, Alice's lips looked like they were painted with lipstick. David reached out, his thumb gently brushing her red lips, slowly pulling his hand away from her waist.

He whispered softly, "She's still young. Let's wait until her 20th birthday. It's soon. Just hold on, hold on."

David closed his eyes, took a few deep breaths, and thought about getting up to leave. But he felt reluctant. After all, he had already kissed and touched her. Alice was drunk and knew nothing, so he decided to pretend he knew nothing as well and deal with it in the morning.

So, David kicked off his shoes, went to the other side of the bed, lifted the blanket, and lay down. He stretched out his arm to hold her, closed his eyes, and rested.

The next morning, Alice woke up slowly. Her eyes were sore, and her head hurt like something was pounding inside, making her super uncomfortable. What's worse, she felt a bit hot.

Her hand fumbled under the blanket and touched a source of heat, making her whole body stiffen.

That source of heat was rising and falling. Not knowing what it was, Alice turned her stiff neck towards it and saw David's handsome sleeping face. She was immediately dumbfounded, staring at David's face in a daze, unable to calm down for a long time.

Her mind was filled with questions.

Alice wondered, 'Why is David here? How do I end up sleeping with David? What exactly happened? Did I really take advantage of David while drunk? Damn Esme.'

Just as Alice was at a loss, David, in a daze, felt something moving in his arms. He quickly remembered that it was Alice, so he opened his eyes and looked down, seeing Alice's face changing expressions from wanting to cry to gritting her teeth. He couldn't help but laugh.

The sound was light, but the two were so close that Alice heard it and instantly tensed up.

David half-closed his eyes, retracted his arm, propped himself up on the bed, and leaned against the headboard, his voice a bit hoarse, "You're awake."

Alice didn't know how to respond. She was completely bewildered. She had wanted to recall what happened yesterday while David was still asleep, but all she remembered was feeling upset, going to the bar, ordering two bottles of spirits, and drinking heavily. At first, it was too spicy, and she almost threw up. However, later she found the taste was not bad. Her body felt light, and everything in front of her was swaying. After that, she remembered nothing.

"You dared to go to the bar and get drunk. Do you know what could have happened if no one was with you?" David saw Alice's anxious expression and deliberately lowered his voice to scare her.

Alice slowly got up, her hair messy, and kept her head down without speaking.

Then David went on, "You went crazy, wouldn't listen to any advice, refused to go back to your room. You insisted on coming to mine, and took over my bed, and forced me to sleep in your room."

Alice shut her eyes, her cheeks burning with embarrassment, not daring to make a peep.

David kept going with a straight face. "What's worse, you threw up. After I cleaned up, you started stripping. I had to go to your room to get your pajamas. You changed right in front of me, and when I wrapped you in a blanket, you accused me of taking advantage of you and wanted to kill me."

Looking down at her pajamas, she could still faintly smell the alcohol on herself. She was not only ashamed but also couldn't believe that the crazy person David described was her.

David sighed and rubbed his arm.

Alice noticed and quickly moved over, eagerly helping David rub his arm.

David glanced at her and withdrew his hand, letting her serve him.

"Well..." Alice licked her lips, furrowed her brows, and licked again, realizing her lips were chapped and stung a bit.

David saw her licking her lips and remembered his rude actions last night. His eyes darkened, and he looked away, responding softly, "Hmm?"

Alice realized and put on a flattering smile. "Did I do anything else last night?"

David said, "A lot. Do you want to hear?"

Alice hesitated for a moment, then said, "Yes!"

As soon as she spoke, David withdrew his arm, got out of bed, straightened his wrinkled clothes. He looked back at Alice, and slightly curled his lips, "But I don't want to say."

Alice was dumbfounded, watching David walk into the bathroom.

When she came to her senses, she clenched her fists and pounded the blanket.

David came out of the bathroom, and Alice was no longer on his bed. He glanced at the open door, couldn't help but laugh. Then he walked out, headed to Alice's room and knocked on the door.

After a while, the door opened.

David put on a stern face and said, "Because of your behavior last night, I'm angry. So, for the next few days, you'll have to handle your meals yourself. When you realize what you did wrong, come and apologize."

Alice initially thought David was joking, but in the following days, she didn't see the housekeeper. She went to school hungry every day, waited for a text at noon but got none. She had to have lunch at the school cafeteria, and buy some dinner to bring home after school.

In just a few days, David noticed that Alice seemed to have lost weight. Her cheeks were smaller than before, and he suddenly felt he had gone too far and regretted it.

"Mr. Tudor."

In the conference room, Garrett quietly nudged David's arm.

David came to his senses and looked at Garrett.

Garrett winked at him, and David looked at the others in the conference room. Everyone was looking at him, but no one dared to speak.

David sighed and absentmindedly said, "Let's leave it at that."

'What does that mean??' Everyone was confused.

David got up and left the conference room, and Garrett quickly gathered the documents and followed him.

"Mr. Tudor, you have a dinner appointment with the trade partner tonight." Garrett said.

"I know." David's expression was not good. "I have a question for you."

Garrett straightened his back, "Please go ahead, Mr. Tudor."

David said, "Alice has suddenly lost weight. Is it my fault?"

Garrett paused and cautiously asked, "Mr. Tudor, what did you do?"

David vaguely explained the situation, omitting his gentle kiss to Alice.

Garrett was speechless.

Garrett wondered, 'David, do you not graduate from kindergarten yet!'
