“You are fine now. I promise you, I will never let something like this upon to you again. I will use every last drop of blood in my body to uphold that promise.” Killian said.
“I know.” My voice was a little bit strange because of my emotional upheaval.
Killian's arms remained around me for an unknown amount of time.
His warmth and comfort surrounded me tightly.
After a while, I disengaged from the hug.
“Okay. Enough about me. Tell me how things went after I disappeared from the palace. I don't really like how you looked when you appeared in my prison cell. I want to know what led to that.” I said.
Although Killian told me the strange features appearing on him was due to his sacrifice to find me, I still wanted to know everything that happened after Jelena succeeded in her scheme.
“Like I was saying earlier, after torture, Jelena confessed to selling you to a brothel. She held on for a very long time. Still, I thought it would be harder to get that information out of her.” Killian began.
My eyes chilled, “That is all part of her plan. She thought you wouldn't want me anymore since I was sold to a brothel.”
Killian’s hand was loosely wrapping around mine. His hand tightened.
“Impossible. I don't care for something like that. Letting you fall victim for Jelena’s scheme is already my negligence. I would never blame you for something like that. You are basically my oxygen. Whatever you went through in that brothel doesn't have any negative effects on my love for you. Instead, I feel lucky that you are returning home with me. Thank you.” Killian said.
“Killian, your words really mean a lot. You don't have to worry about Jelena's plan. I refused to be touched by the disgusting patrons visiting the brothel. You are the only one for me and you will be the only one to access my body.” I responded.
Killian’s hand tightened again, “Thank you for this enormous trust you are giving to me.”
“So, what happened next?” I prompted.
“You like stories.” Killian’s lips curled into a smile.
“When it involves you, I would always be invested.” I chuckled.
“That's lovely to hear. Let me get back to what I was saying. After getting the name of the brothel, I imprisoned Jelena and her father. There was no time to do anything else. I quickly headed to the brothel to look for you. Unfortunately, I couldn't find you and Madam Tayo wasn't around. The search led to another dead end.” Killian continued.
“I think that was the time Madam Tayo was hunting for me using the trails I left.” I chipped in.
“I hope she didn't do anything to you?” Killian’s voice was filled with concern.
“I won't lie and say she didn't do anything. All I just want you to know is that I came out on top. Don't worry.” I said.
Killian's voice dropped, “I have her in custody. She will get the due results of her foolish actions later. She is brave to do the things she has done to you.”
“That would be for the best.” I sighed.
“I almost went crazy because the search was just going cold every time I find a clue. I traced Mr Blake. Everything was just so confusing.” Killian said, “That was when I knew I couldn't wait any longer. Your health status was unknown. Delaying might cause permanent consequences that I don't want. I had to use a forbidden magic to pinpoint your location.”
The aura around Killian became darker.
This time, it was my turn to wrap my hands around him.
