Chapter 186
Chapter 186
Edna
"Renee, is this everyone on your exploration team?" I questioned.
Renee shook her head, "There is still five more people missing. One of those five people is the driver of the space plane that brought us to this planet."
I nodded to show that I heard her words.
"Now that the introductions are out of the way, why did you bring us to this place? Who is this alien man by your side?" Diana asked.
She was still as forward as ever.
Chill accumulated in my eyes as I looked at Diana.
I plastered a fake smile on my lips, "If you weren't being so impatient, I would have started explaining the reasons why you guys were captured. Regarding the other question you have, he is not someone you can just ask about. I would tell you about his identity when and if I wish to do so."
"Diana." Abednego called in a low voice.
Diana shrugged as she rolled her eyes. I could practically feel her intention to respond to me in a sarcastic way. She kept that urge at bay though.
Renee looked at me, “Edna, are you okay here?"
The coldness in my eyes melted away.
It was very clear that if I was in a bad situation, Renee has no way to help me with the current power that she has. Still, a caring question made a big difference.
"I am very okay." I responded with a smile.
“That's a relief." Renee said.
The smile on my lips reduced, "I wanted to meet you guys because of a very important reason. I want humans to settle down on this planet."
I didn't mention the fact that Killian was the one that decided to capture them before telling me. These people don't need to know that.
Silence filled the ward.
Renee's exploration team members were looking at me with varying levels of surprise and disbelief.
I can understand why they were feeling that way.
Diana looked at me with a sarcastic smile on her face, "Well, it is true that everybody can say big words. You said you want humans to settle down here. Do you have the power and authority needed to backup those words?"
"Rushing into conclusion is really a bad habit that you need to change. I won't keep tolerating your disrespect so mind how you speak to me." I retorted.
"I am so sorry for the way Diana is behaving. Regarding the statement you made, how are you going to make the humankind’s inhabitation of this planet possible? Things are complicated. I am sorry to say this but your words are sounding like a brag." Abednego stepped forward and said.
"I know things are not so simple. I have a way to accomplish the possibility of human inhabitation on this planet though. My words aren't a brag. I am not saying that I would give this whole planet to the humans. I am not trying to formulate a plan that would chase the indigenes occupying this planet away." I said.
All eyes were on me.
"I just want humankind to have a small space or area on this planet that they can settle down in. That option is better than wandering in space with only hope of seeing another habitable planet as fuel." I finished.
"Although Diana was being insufferable, some of her words are still valid. You are just telling us about your plans, reasons and other related things. What you wish for can't be accomplished without the necessary authority and power. So, previous question still stands. How are you going to make your goal possible?" Abednego said.
I knew these people would not contact the rest of the human race with the special phone that had been given to them when they set out on this expedition without me convincing them.
I pointed at Killian, "This is the King of this planet and I am his partner. Do you think I have the authority and power to back my words up now?"
Silence descended again.
Almost all the pairs of eyes in the room fell on Killian.
