Chapter 150
Chapter 150
Edna
A subtle vibration ran through me and the floor I was writing on simultaneously.
For a brief moment there, I felt like a deity. I felt like I could control power.
After I blinked, that feeling faded away.
“Sister!” A sharp voice called.
I looked up immediately. It was Tyler. This time, the differences between the person standing before me and the brother I knew was even clearer.
His pupils had changed from the original color into a bloody red. It looked like he had been possessed by an unclean thing.
The smile on his lips was scary and creepy. The way he said ‘sister’ was like he was chomping on the word.
I stopped looking at him and focused on the ritual I was completing
“Edna, what do you think you are doing? Why are you behaving this way?!” Tyler shouted.
I don't know how his voice was able to travel into the bubble Killian made.
Fortunately, Tyler couldn't get in.
He was banging on the transparent bubble like he was crazy. I was sure that if he could get in, he would have attacked me.
“I don't think you are in the position to ask me why I am behaving this way.” I said as I completed my part of the ritual.
I handed the book back to Killian and he started to read the chant that would complete everything.
As Killian spoke, the pupils in Tyler's eyes became darker.
“I am in the position to ask you those questions. I am your brother! Edna, is this how you would repay me after all the sacrifices I did for you on Earth? Is this your true character?” Tyler's unpleasant voice said.
I never imagined that I would call my brother's great voice an unpleasant one.
A frown appeared on my face. This ghostly caricature of my brother was just ruining everything for me.
I wouldn't let this ghost spoil the memories of my brother though.
My teeth sunk into my bottom lip. It was my mistake I shouldn't have provoked the power that was in charge of the red book.
I shouldn't have given into my temptation. I had forgotten that majority of the so-called free things aren't good. I don't know how the ghost before me acquired my brother's memories. Everything was just complicated and messy.
It was better for me to send this ghost and the rest of his friends away as soon as possible.
I scoffed, “This is what you are not understanding. You are not my brother and you will never be. My brother wouldn't have calculated all the good things he had done for me. He wouldn't use the good things he did to guilt-trip me.”
“I am your brother!” Tyler yelled.
His voice was strange. It looked like hundreds of people was saying the same sentence.
I don't know why this ghost was obsessed with pretending to be my brother. I rubbed the center of my brows in frustration.
“You are not. Stop trying to pretend like you are.” I retorted.
One of the reasons why I kept a changing words with this ghost was to keep the ghost occupied. I don't want this ritual to fail.
As long as the ghost remains in my sight, everything else can be endured.
Suddenly, ghost Tyler's eyes started to bleed from the corners. His whole eyes was filled with red. The cornea and pupils weren't distinguishable at all.
“I said I am your brother!” His discordant voice screamed.
