Chapter 153

Chapter 153
Edna
The fake Tyler opened his mouth to speak, "I think my disobedient sister is finally beginning to learn her lesson. I am so g—"

Suddenly, his voice cut off at the end.

I stared at him without even blinking my eyes. It wouldn't hurt to be careful. I don't want any negative and unforeseen developments appearing at the sensitive moment.

Something was wrong with the fake Tyler. His body was fading away rapidly. His face contorted into something malicious as he pinned his eyes on me.

I have no doubt that if this ghostly caricature of my brother had the means to take me to wherever he was about to head to, he would.

Even when I saw him fading out of existence, I still remained vigilant. No one knows what a rabid dog like this fake Tyler can do in a moment of desperation.

Fortunately, God was on my side. Tyler faded away completely without making any desperate moves.

His hauntingly eerie eyes stayed on me till he disappeared.

After the fake Tyler was completely gone, all strength seemed to leave my body and I slumped to the floor.

I looked at the ceiling as my chest moved violently. The air I was inhaling burned the insides of my nostrils but I kept inhaling like I am on the last few seconds of my life anyway.

Sweat carved various pathways on my skin. I felt like I had survived a huge disaster.

This issue with the fake Tyler was a lesson that I would always remember. I was just glad that innocent people wouldn't suffer for my mistake anymore.

Footsteps approached me rapidly. Without even looking in the direction the sound was coming from, I knew it was Killian.

Warmth wrapped around my heart.

I loved this man so much. His existence had intertwined with my own. I was not even willing into visualize a future without him in it.

"Are you okay?" His lovely voice came.

"Don't worry, Killian. I am fine. Things are okay now." I replied.

Killian's eyes fell on my gaping wound, "You should get this treated soon. Don't worry, I would make sure that scars wouldn't be left behind."

I shook my head, "There is no need for that. I need the scars to remind me of the mistake I made. I am trying to forgive myself for the harm I caused but I want the scars to be a reminder and a warning."

Killian looked like he wanted to convince me but he didn't say anything in the end.
