Killian’s lips parted, “Since you want to opt for the option of contacting them first, should I arrange communication between you guys as soon as possible? Or do you prefer to take your time?”
I nodded, “Quick communication would be preferable.”
I don't know how fast Killian’s quick communication would take and I wasn’t really worried about it. I would take what I get. I know Killian would take something that is as important as this seriously.
I have seen how he behaved for something that wasn't even that serious.
Then, something flashed through my subconscious mind.
I couldn't believe that I almost forgot about this.
“Wait!” I called, “There is someone I want you to leave out of the communication channel you want to establish between me and my former exploration team members. Her name is Habiba. I don't know if I have mentioned this before but I would talk about it. She betrayed us during our escape. She should keep living her current life. In this current situation concerning my people, we aren't really stable and I don't want to add someone as volatile as her into the mix.”
I don't know the amount of ungrateful and wicked humans that I would encounter with my current quest to bring my kind to this planet. If I could help it, I don't want to purposely bring a backstabber near.
Killian responded, “I'll keep that in mind.”
Killian started tapping on his wristband.
He didn't try to avoid me but I consciously turned my eyes away.
“After meeting up with the members of the new exploration team you talked about earlier, I will see if I can get in touch with the higher ups governing my kind. I really need to speak to them before they can come here.” I turned my eyes back to Killian, “Is the offer of staying somewhere on this planet still valid?”
Killian nodded, “Yes, that offer is always valid.”
Although I had a feeling that his answer would be in my favor, a sigh of relief still left my lips at his words.
I just wanted to keep thanking God for this man every minute.
“The communication medium that is available for you to use to contact your former exploration team members is video calls. Is that okay with you?” Killian asked.
“Anything is okay to me, to be honest.” I responded.
“That's good. If you are ready to speak to them, you can. Everything is ready.” Killian said.
“Really?” My eyes widened in surprise.
I knew Killian was powerful. Still, his speed still shocked me.
“Yes. I was already keeping an eye on them.” He said.
“I would like to speak to them.” I said as I straightened the wrinkles in my clothes.
I was a bit nervous and I didn't really know why. My former exploration team members couldn't do anything to me. Still, the slight nervousness was killing me.
“Okay.” Killian nodded before pressing something on his wristband.
Before I could blink twice, a knock sounded on the door.
Killians stood up and answered the door. I didn't really see who was at the door because of Killian’s body frame.
The two people at the door didn't exchange any words.
Soon, Killian returned.
He was holding a tablet. He handed that tablet to me.
An app’s interface was already open on the tablet.
