Chapter 148

Chapter 148

Edna

He didn't go through the door. He just passed through the walls.

One part of me felt like Tyler just wanted to show off. I knew this feeling and guess didn't have a basis. I couldn't stop myself from feeling that way though.

After Tyler left, Killian and I didn't say anything for a few minutes.

I grabbed Killian's hand.

I wanted to say something to him but speaking wasn't really safe with Tyler around.

‘Something is wrong with Tyler.’ I scribbled the words on Killian's skin and palm.

He didn't reply me vocally. Killian's fingers landed on the hand I was using to hold his own.

‘Why do you think so?’ His fingers wrote the words quickly.

‘I don't know if you noticed that there is something wrong with Tyler's eyes. The way he looks at things is strange and different. Besides, did you see the red spot on his face. That red spot is neither paint or food. I am sure of that.’ I wrote the words hurriedly.

‘I noticed all these too. I don't know if you made the same observations. I don't want to jump to conclusions. This is your brother. I don't want you to think I just want to be antagonistic towards your family member.’ Killian replied.

His finger left trails of heat as it moved.

His words made sense.

‘I don't want to use the observations I made about Tyler as a deciding factor for my future decisions without cross-checking first. My mind might be messing with me so I wanted to speak to you about it. I didn't know you arrived at the same conclusions.’ I wrote again.

A sigh slipped from my lips.

Killian didn't write a reply. His palms just wrapped around my hands in a protective gesture.

His body heat was transmitted to my skin.

‘I want to give Tyler the benefit of doubt. I might be overthinking and the same could be said for you too.’ I started.

My moving finger seemed to be stained with Killian’s body heat. Even after writing those words on his palm and skin, a phantom heat still remained.

‘That is understandable. Patience is a great trait. Time would let us observe more.” Killian responded.

A knock sounded. The knock interrupted the next words I was about to write.

“Come in.” I said.

The door knob twisted and the person that knocked came in. It was a palace guard.

The guard's face wasn't looking too good. It was obvious that he was here to deliver another unpleasant news.

I was getting tired of this. It wouldn't hurt to listen to good news for a change.

“What is the matter?” Killian asked.

The guard straightened up, “Something happened in the palace and I feel like it is related to the ghost in this palace.”

My heartbeat increased.
