"Attack." Killian ordered.
His men went into action immediately. Various superpowers started to appear.
The strange army that was supporting Jelena and her father were trying their best to hold on.
Killian's hand landed on my waist. I looked at him with a question in my eyes.
"Let's move away from them. Don't worry, this issue would be settled soon." Killian assured me.
I nodded.
Killian's words held obvious disdain for the strange army that stormed into the palace.
He wasn't even going to act personally.
Killian brought me to a corner that was relatively calm.
I continued to watch the ongoing battle.
Soon, the battle started to come to a conclusion. Killian's army had the upper hand.
“Take any survivors to the normal dungeon." Killian ordered.
His men nodded and the scene was cleared up in the span of a few minutes. The blood and bodies disappeared.
The only thing that would hint at the previous fight was the heavy smell of blood in the air.
I was glad that everything was finally over.
Killian glanced at me, "I have Madam Tayo and Mr Blake in custody. If you want to release your anger on them or punish them for what they made you go through, just tell me.
I shook my head.
The negative emotions that rose in my heart because of my past experiences was gone.
The only thing that matters to me was the fact that I was next to Killian.
I wasn't against getting angry but I felt like I had stewed in my negative emotions long enough.
"I am not interested in that. I am handing them over to you. Just do as you wish." I replied.
Killian nodded in reply.
Then, an issue I had forgotten due to my powerlessness and the fast paced events happening around me rushed to the forefront of my mind.
It was the deal I made with Morgan. I have the means to fulfill the promise I made, it was time to hold up my end of the bargain.
"Killian, I have a favor to ask." I began.
Killian raised a brow, "Whatever is mine is yours. You are just making everything complicated by framing it as a favor. Just say what you want and I would make sure it is fulfilled."
I cleared my throat as my eyes collided with Killian's dark gaze, “During my journey, I used a lady's identity to buy more time. I think I mentioned it when I was explaining what I went through earlier. That lady is called Morgan. In exchange for her identity, I have to help her eliminate the bosses of the theater troupe she is part of. I don't know if you can help me with that.”
Normally, I would have opted for doing this task myself.
With Killian, I can basically do whatever I want with little to no consequences.
Unfortunately, I was just tired of battle and situations with high tension was overwhelming. I don't really know the powers the other bosses of the theater troupe have. The only information I have is about boss snake and the other crazy scientist boss. This information is incomplete.
Instead of stubbornly going against them myself, it was better to use the advantages I have.
Sure, using this route might seem like I wanted to kill a chicken with a gun. I wasn't going to overestimate my enemy to prevent any mistake and hurt.
I wouldn't shy away from taking Killian up on his offer.
What was mine was his too.
If he had something to ask, I was ready to put my all into fulfilling that request too.
"Heartbeat, I would take care of it. You just have to tell me what the name of the theater troupe is and other things about them." Killian responded.
"I will do so.” I said, "Killian, I want you to be extremely careful. We don't know what these people are capable of and I don't want you or your men to get hurt. I don't want us to fall into a pit we could avoid."
Killian chuckled, "Don't worry about that. Since my queen tells me to take care of myself, who am I to refuse? Now, it is time for you to rest and relax. You deserve it."
I smiled in response.
Killian and I went into the depths of the palace together.
The warm atmosphere of the palace welcomed me like no other. I felt lighter somehow.
Something about Killian and something about this place has a way of putting me in a relaxed state. It was a tempting offer after days of living in the edge.
My lips curved into a bright smile.
Killian and I were holding hands. My fingers tightened around his as we headed for our destination.
Gratitude covered my heart tightly.
Things were starting to look up.
