Chapter 127

Edna

“I am fine and I will try my best to keep it that way. Don't let negative emotions tear your heart apart. You have done a lot.” I consoled him.

Killian hugged me tightly. It felt like he wanted to blend me into his flesh.

His fear of losing me was wafting off him.

“I think you know how the rest of the story went. After knowing you were somewhere in the ocean, I gathered my army and sent a representative to the underwater empire to negotiate with King Ricard. Unfortunately, King Ricard know what was good for him and he tried to hold on to you. I didn't wait for my men to act anymore. I had to take matters into my own hands. Then, I found you.” Killian explained.

“You have been through a lot.” I sighed.

Killian shook his head, “I should be saying that to you. You were the one that got kidnapped. You had been subjected to insane things mortals shouldn't do to their fellows.”

“The both of us has been through a lot. This is not a competition of who got the worst traumatic experience. I am just glad that we are both fine.” I said.

The hovercraft stopped moving.

I looked around with wide eyes. I didn't know Killian and I had spoken for a very long time.

“Let's go, heartbeat.” Killian said as he held his hand out.

I took his hand and he helped me off the vehicle.

The majestic Palace that Maol had brought me too a long time ago was before me. It was as beautiful as ever. The palace gave me an unfamiliar and familiar feeling.

Killian and I went into the palace. I noticed something. The guards around the palace had tripled. The increase was significant and glaring.

I glanced at Killian. I don't know if my kidnapping played a role in this new development.

Killian was leading the way. I observed the direction we were heading towards. Killian was leading me to an unfamiliar destination.

I looked at him with confusion shining in my pupils, “Where are we going?”

“It is a surprise. Just know it is a gift to help you decompress. I want you to use this surprise to eliminate any stress and tension that you might have accumulated from your experiences. I want you to have closure before you get back to your life in this Palace.” Killian said.

I raised a brow.

A surprise?

What could it be?

Whatever Killian was going to present to me should be pretty important if he wants me to see it as soon as I arrived at the palace.

Soon, we arrived at our destination.

Killian had brought me to a dungeon. It wasn't a traditional one but I recognized it for what it was anyway.

He brought me to a special cell.

The material used to create the cell was special. It was like a one-way mirror.

There were two people in the cell. Splatters of blood was everywhere.

Dried blood stuck to every surface.

One of the walls in the cell was filled with torture devices. Some of those devices were familiar while some looks strange.

The two people in the cell was very familiar. There was no way I would forget the female prisoner in this cell.

Killian’s gift to me was related to Jelena, my nemesis.
