"You truly have the authority and power to help humankind." Abednego admitted.
"Since we are on the same page now, can you contact the government using your special phone? Tell the higher ups that I want to speak to them. You can give them a rundown of everything that was said in this room if you wish." I questioned.
I can't really remember where my special phone is. The only things I still know the whereabouts of is the bags Tyler and I owned.
Even if I knew where my special phone was, I wouldn't use it to contact the human government.
I would still prefer the option of using the specialized phones that was given to Renee’s exploration team members.
Their team has a high chance of being equipped with recent tools and the government would be expecting more feedback from them.
All in all, using the special phones from Renee's exploration team would make communication smoother.
I felt like the human government had given up on the members of my exploration team. Even if they haven't given up on us, I feel like they don't really have much expectations for my exploration team.
The duration of the time my exploration team has spent on this planet is lengthy.
Our special pagers might have lost the ability to connect to the network on the spaceship.
"Can you give us the time and space to speak to the government properly?" Abednego asked.
I nodded generously, "You can take your time. Just don't forget to get back to me once you are done."
"You guys can leave. There are people outside that will take you back to your assigned quarters." Killian said.
Renee sent one last look my way before following the rest of her group out of the ward.
Killian sat down on the bed.
"You have expended a lot of energy with this brief meeting you had with those people. It is time to eat something." Killian said.
The moment he brought my attention to that, my stomach rumbled.
I looked at him with a light blush on my cheeks, "Yeah, I need to feed my stomach."
Killian tapped rapidly on his wristband.
Within minutes, a knock sounded on the door.
"Come in." Killian instructed.
The door opened and two maids came in. The two maids were with a food trolley. The new arrivals brought the trolley to the area near the bed.
After doing that, the two maids left.
Killian brought the food trolley closer to me.
"Eat up." He said, "After you are done with the food, it would be best for you to take a bath. Once you finish with bathing, you have to rest. You know I am not going to compromise on your rest."
I grabbed a spoon.
“Don't worry, I am going to rest like I promised. As for that bath, I am going to go for a quick one. I don't think I have the energy for something elaborate." I said.
"If you are too tired to shower by yourself, I can help you. My help is free." Killian said with an unknown glint in his eyes.
"Pervert." I said with a big smile on my lips, "You just want to take advantage of me."
"Okay, I admit that I want to take advantage of you. If you want to retaliate, you can take advantage of me too. Anyways, I have already seen you in your birthday suit and you have already seen me in mine." Killian responded.
"Pervert." I repeated.
The two of us continued to exchange joking words till I finished my meal.
With the way Killian was watching over me, I knew there was a very low chance of having a second meeting with Renee's exploration team members today.
I followed Killian's arrangements. After eating, I went to take a bath with Killian's help.
When I returned to the bed, a sigh of relief left my lips. The tiredness that had accumulated in my body made my eyes heavy.
Killian was sitting on the bed. His palm stroked my hair.
"Go to sleep. Your attending doctor would be here to give you another dose of the required medicine soon." Killian said.
I nodded before closing my eyes and succumbing to sleep.
