After seeing Killian lying down on the lounge chair, I wore the glasses I was holding and relaxed.
The moment I put the glasses on, I felt like something sucked my consciousness away.
When everything cleared up, I was in a new place. The places my eyes touched was painted with the aura of desolation and destruction.
I looked at myself. I was wearing clothes that looked like it had been washed too many times.
My right hand was holding a short sword.
After the initial feeling of shock, I assimilated quickly. My eyes brightened considerably.
I was ready to have fun.

After completing the apocalyptic game that was my first choice, Killian and I played two more games.
I clicked on the option to sign out of the game. My eyes opened.
I removed the glasses and I sat up. Killian was already standing near me. His glasses was back on the metallic box.
"Do you want to speak to the human government about what they did to you now or are you going to talk to them tomorrow?" Killian asked as he helped me up.
"I would like to speak to them today. It is better to get things over with. I just want to warn them because if something like this happens again, I don't know how much harm I would cause." I responded.
Killian released my hands and walked over to the gadget that looked like a food dispenser.
He pressed on a button and something was ejected. Killian grabbed the thing that was on the tray of this food dispenser.
He walked over to me and handed the item to me. I took a closer look at what was in my hand. The item looked like a chocolate bar.
"Let's go." Killian said as he left the VR studio.
I opened the packaging of the chocolate bar and started eating. I followed Killian out of the VR studio.
We went straight to the place our hovercrafts were parked in.
Killian didn't bring any guards with us.
The two of us went into the chosen hovercraft. Killian put the hovercraft in auto drive mode.
During the journey, I kept munching on my chocolate bar.
Killian didn't stop staring at me throughout this process. He looked at me like I was doing some kind of glorious thing.
After finishing the chocolate bar, I dropped the package in the small trash box in the hovercraft.
A few minutes later, the vehicle stopped in a designated parking area in Earth City.
This was my second visit to this place. My state of mind was different for each visit.
My face was cold. Killian and I came down from the hovercraft. We went straight to the center of the city.
This area was high-end. Most of the higher ups of the human race lived in this center area.
The moment we got to the center area of the city, we saw a group. Miranda was part of this group. I could see James and Parker too.
It seems like the news of our second arrival has spread.
I walked straight over.
"Miss Edna, what brought you to the inner City?" Miranda asked with a smile.
The chill on my face increased.
Miranda's hypocrisy was funny and infuriating at the same time.
If they were innocent, they won't be waiting for me here.
"I am not here to play word games with you." I responded curtly, “I am not going to pretend to preserve the relationship between us. I saw the nonsense thing you guys pulled off earlier. Did you guys think I am going to stomach you sending women to my partner's bed?"
"We don't know what you are talking about." Miranda argued.
"I don't care if you knew or not. I am just going to give you guys a warning. If this rubbish repeats itself," I laughed, "You guys would not like the consequences. I will destroy you. Aside that, I don't mind letting humans continue their normadic journey in space."
"Edna, how can you say something like that? You are part of the human race for God's sake!" Parker shouted.
My eyes turned to him, "Don't shout when speaking to me or you will lose your tongue. I did not deny the fact that I am part of the human race. I am just telling you guys the things that are at stake if you keep making foolish decisions."
After speaking, I grabbed Killian's hand and walked away.
Although I wouldn't really punish innocent humans because of the sins of the higher ups, making threats was still fair game.
Humans were scared of having no home and I wasn't ashamed to use their weakness to get the results I want.
I just hoped that the human race would finally settle down and live their life.
A tiny sliver of regret plagued my heart. The things I was worried about was being realized.
I hoped my warning was enough. I didn't want to cause harm if it was something I could avoid.
As we were getting closer to the hovercraft, footsteps approached us.
"Edna." Renee's voice called out softly.
I paused before turning around to look at her.
Renee was breathing heavily. Her eyes were filled with remorse.
I tried my best to make my face as approachable as possible.
Renee wasn't the one that offended me. I must not take my anger out on her.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
Renee opened her mouth. Then, she closed it.
She repeated this action several times.
Finally, she decided on what to say.
She spoke, "I saw you when you were confronting Miranda and the other people in her group. I want to apologize on the behalf of the human race. We are so sorry. I didn't know that those people would stoop so low. I can't understand why they aren't satisfied with the current situation. Again, I am so sorry."
A smile appeared on my lips. Renee didn't even ask if the accusation that I made was true or not, she was just on my side from the beginning. I didn't regret giving Tyler's quota to her.
"There is no need to apologize for what you didn't do. I have said my piece. If the higher ups think my threats wouldn't come true, they should keep looking for trouble." I said.
Renee sighed, "Sometimes, I wish I wasn't human."
I responded, "Don't say that. God knew what He is doing when he made you a human. At least, you and other people give me hope that humanity aren't beyond saving."
"Thank you." Renee smiled, "Don't let me delay you two. Goodbye."
I waved at her.
Then, Killian and I went into the hovercraft and left the Earth City.
