Chapter 171
Chapter 171
Killian
The man in the black robe chuckled, "I am sure you can notice that something is wrong with your body. If you continue making a fuss, you won't like the consequences you would reap."
My eyes darkened visibly, "You schemed against me! Do you want to die?!"
The man started to laugh out loud.
Mockery colored his voice, "Your majesty, you are not in the position to give orders or throw tantrums. I am a good citizen so I won't harm you. I am going to leave now."
During our discussion, I was still taking shaky steps towards him. He didn't mind.
It was clear that this man didn't take me seriously. The confidence he has in the drug he tried to weaken me with was obvious.
"Goodbye, King Killian." The green haired man in the black robe said.
His nonchalance was infuriating. The green haired man turned around to leave leisurely.
His fingers wrapped around the box filled with gems and gold bars in a protective manner.
This was my opportunity to act.
I pounced on the man immediately. The drug that was running through my veins slowed my movements a little. Still, it wasn't something I couldn't handle.
My hand wrapped around the neck of the leaving man.
The shock from my actions made the man drop the box he was holding.
This man was weaker than I had imagined. I didn't relax though. I used all my power from the get-go.
"You were pretending to be weak. You tricked me!" The man sputtered.
"The answer to your words is Yes. Now, where is the antidote?" My voice was chilly.
A little sound caught my attention. It was a bit far from where I was so the sound was muffled.
The imperial guards were already close by.
"Investigate." I said my order loudly.
More noises came in the direction the first sound came from. I knew my imperial guards were already acting on my orders.
I moved my eyes back to the man I was holding, "Are you going to answer the question I asked or are you going to wait my precious time? Where is my antidote?"
Footsteps approached us. The footsteps made the littlest noise. I looked in that direction to see a team of imperial guards.
The imperial guard at the forefront was holding a thin man.
This man was wearing a black robe that was similar to the one the man I was holding wore.
The hood that should have been covering the face of the man the imperial guard brought was in tatters. His thin face was filled with fear and anxiety.
The green haired man that was in a daze snapped out of it and looked at me with shock, "You broke your promise!"
A light scoff slipped from my lips. The green haired man intended to break his promise first. I was just smarter. Now, he was trying to pin this accusation on me.
If he had acted in the right way, things would have been easier for me.
"I am not asking you about promises and whatnot. I don't want to repeat myself. Did you bring the antidote with you?" I questioned.
My fingers tightened and the flow of air of the green haired man was restricted.
After watching him try hard to breathe, I released my hold.
"Release the both of us and I will tell you where I put the antidote. If you refuse to fulfill this condition, we will both waste each other's time. I am sure you don't want that. Your lover is still battling against the infectious disease." The green haired man said.
Hearing this foolish man mention Edna was infuriating to say the least.
I didn't lash out. He was going to get the results of his actions very soon.
I looked at him and a laugh bubbled from my throat. I kept laughing for a while.
Only the echoes of my laughter broke the silent atmosphere.
The laughter ended as soon as it started.
"You are not in the position to propose demands." I repeated what the man had said when we met.
I didn't ask him about the antidote anymore. I was going to get it from him the hard way.
The man the imperial guards captured looked like he was more cowardly than the one I was holding.
I might start my investigation and interrogation from his side.
I turned to the leader of the imperial guards, “Make sure you watch over him well. Don't let him escape and don't let him harm you."
After saying those words, I dragged the man I was holding into my hovercraft.
I activated the hovercraft self-driving ability and mapped the destination to the palace.
One of my hands was still around the green haired man's neck. Sweat appeared under my palm.
I snorted coldly.
Now, this man knows how to be afraid. He didn't think about the results that would accompany the scheme he did when he started planning.
There was no trace of pity in my heart.
I did not plan to visit Edna immediately. The first thing I planned to do is to extract confessions from this green haired man and his accomplice.
My eyelids lowered.
For this man's sake, I just hoped that he wasn't behind the outbreak of the new disease.
My eyes darkened a little.
If he was behind it, the consequences was going to be dire.
