Chapter 133

Chapter 133
Edna
I didn't reply him at first. I just kept savoring the warmth from his hug.

After getting my fill, I disengaged from the hug. At this moment, I was basically sitting on Killian's thighs.

This position gave me the advantage of looking at him from an elevated position.

His hand rested on my waist. The other hand tucked the stray hair strands behind my ear.

"Thank you for all this. I know you don't want me thanking you but I am going to go ahead with it anyway." My voice was a little low.

Killian nodded, "Don't worry, I understand you perfectly."

I continued, "I am still debating if I want the rest of my race to settle down on this planet permanently or if I want them to drift on. Killian, do you think I am a bad person for even feeling conflicted on this matter?"

Killian shook his head, “Just because you are the same race doesn't mean you have any obligation towards them. If you don't want them to stay, they won't. Just follow your heart.”

"You are so awesome. You said what I was thinking. Humans have a bad track record and I don't want them to come to this place and cause issues. I plan to observe for a while to see if it will be suitable for them to be here permanently." I responded.

"I will stand with any decision you make. Take your time. I am sure the rest of your people that is on the spaceship won't starve to death because of the little time you need to decide." Killian said.

I nodded.

Since I got that issue out of my mind, the heaviness around my heart disappeared. I was in the mood to explore and have fun.

I left Killian's thighs.

"I thought you were going to stay for a while." Killian said with regret heavy in his tone.

I rolled my eyes, "Stop being a pervert."

"If wanting my wife to stick to me 24/7 is being a pervert, I will gladly take that title.” Killian's lips formed a grin.

“Rogue!” I smiled.

“That's my middle name.” Killian laughed.

I rolled my eyes. I was not willing to humor this large beast that was completely mine anymore.

I headed towards the study door.

"Edna, wait." Killian called.

I looked backwards with one of my eyebrow rising in a silent question.

“I don't know if you had thought about the wedding and the current delay." Killian began.

I won't lie, the thoughts related to this matter crossed my mind occasionally. Anytime those thoughts comes up, I push it back down.

I didn't feel resentful because Killian didn't continue the wedding preparations after I came back. In my heart, I knew Killian wouldn't want me to get hurt.

That was all I needed to know.

"I thought about it occasionally." I replied.

"You didn't ask anything about it." Killian said.

I shrugged, "Well, I figured out that you had your own plan and I also know that any of your thoughts in regards to me is for good and not for evil.”

"Your belief in me is just making me love you more. I don't even know how you made that possible." Killian replied, "I had rushed our previous wedding preparations. Although nothing would truly be lacking if I stick to this, I wanted to do better. This time, I want to make sure nothing goes wrong."

"I knew you would have a good thing in store. Don't worry about this matter, I am not resentful about the delay. We are already together. I can wait." I said.

Killian heaved a sigh of relief, “That's good to hear. I won't stop you from leaving anymore.”

I smiled and left.

Living under Killian's protection has numerous advantages. Unfortunately, there was a few disadvantages too.

One of the major disadvantages of being here was the lack of excitement. In other words, I was bored.

In this palace, everyone basically treated me as a deity that was on equal footing with Killian.

Fortunately, to battle this boredom, Killian showed me the magnificent library in this Palace.

It was so huge. This palace had only one library so the architects didn't skimp on the size.

There was all kinds of book in the library. I was heading to the library right now.

These past few days, I had gotten enamored by books about the stars and space.

I just finished a book on using stars and the sky for direction. I was itching for another.

I got to the library in record time. Two stern guards were at the entrance.

I nodded as a greeting.

One of them opened the door with a stiff smile on his face. The smile on the other guard's face wasn't any better.

The moment I went into the library, the smell of books and the scent of incense made from unknown materials swallowed me up.

I inhaled deeply.

This place was basically my second home. It was good to be home.

Killian had gotten jealous of the attention I was putting on this library and the books in it numerous times.

Thinking about Killian and his unique jealousy brought a smile to my lips.

My feet started to take me towards a familiar shelf.
