"Don't worry too much about this." I said, "I plan to give the higher ups of our kind the rules and boundaries that must be followed so that their inhabitation on this planet can go uneventfully. If they choose to violate those boundaries, then, any punishments they get would be on their own head.”
"That's great to hear." Yulia nodded appreciatively.
"Yulia." I called, "I think I mentioned that I was calling you guys because of two reasons. Trying to get humans to settle down on this planet is the first reason. The second reason is my wish to give the people that came to this planet with me the option to either stay in their current situation or leave."
Yulia listened seriously.
I continued, "So Yulia, are you satisfied with your current life or do you want to come over?”
"Edna, I am satisfied with the current life I have." Yulia responded, "Would my decision to refuse this offer hinder me from coming over to visit you some day?"
The last sentence was said in a joking tone. I could hear a little bit of seriousness in that question though.
The smile that had disappeared from my face at one point was back on my lips.
I shook my head, "Your decision won't hinder anything. You can visit me anytime."
"I am happy to hear that." Yulia said, "Since you have more people to contact, let us end the call here. I don't want to occupy all your time."
"Alright." I said, "Goodbye."
"Goodbye." Yulia replied before ending the call from her end.
"You have a really good relationship with Yulia." Killian's voice came from the side.
He was sitting on the bed and the area he was occupying wasn't too far from me.
"Yeah, our relationship is okay. I am really really glad that she's happy with her current life." I sighed, "It is such a relief to see her doing okay."
Killian hummed in response.
After getting myself together and letting the sheepish smile on my face fade away, I dialed the next person on the list.
This call was also in a video format.
"Hello." Griffin's voice came from the other end of the phone.
His face appeared on the screen too.
"Hi Griffin. Long time no see." I said with a smile.
"Wow! Edna, it's you. I was feeling apprehensive when I discovered the people monitoring me but I'm glad you are the one behind them." Griffin said.
I scratched the tip of my nose as I glanced at Killian that was out of the video call range.
"Yes, you can say I am behind them." I said
Griffin and I exchanged pleasantries. Since the two of us didn't really have much topics to talk about, I went straight to the goal of this video call.
"Griffin, the plan for humans to settle down on this planet is about to begin. I want to ask you if you want to leave your current life and come over. If you are currently living a great life, there is no need to take me up on this offer." I said.
"You want humans to settle down on this planet?!" Griffin asked.
Shock colored his eyes.
He continued, "Do you have the power to do so? Don't do something you are going to regret to achieve the goal helping humans find a home, Edna."
"Don't worry. Whatever I am doing is with the express permission of the ruler of this planet." I responded.
I have repeated the words, 'don't worry' to the extent that saying it was becoming instinctual.
"Alright." Griffin nodded with relief painting his face, "You don't have to worry about me. I am living a good life."
"Are you with the lady that bought you at the auction?" I asked.
"Yes." Griffin nodded, "We are husband and wife now."
"That is good news. I would speak to you later. I need to call the others." I said.
After seeing Griffin nod, I ended the call.
I was really happy to hear good news from the people I was contacting.
