BK 2 - Chapter 33 - Zola
Aiden stared at Kitty in stunned silence, not believing he had heard her correctly. Harley, on the other hand, was dancing around in pure joy.
"Did you say your lioness spoke to you, and her name is Zola?" He asked with widened eyes.
"Yes. It's so weird. When I imagined hearing my lioness, I thought it would be like hearing my own thoughts. I didn't expect her to have her own voice." She stared at him with a smile on her face.
*"I know we have a lot to talk about, but can you tell me the name of Aiden's lion? I'm anxious to meet him once we complete the marking and are fully mated."* Kitty couldn't hold back her giggle hearing the excitement in Zola's voice.
"How do I talk to you? Do I think my answers?" Kitty felt silly talking aloud to Zola but didn't know what to do.
*"You'll get the hang of it. Try speaking to me with your mind like your thinking."* Zola was glad to get a former human as her other half. She felt they could get used to the changes together.
*"Can you hear me, Zola?"* She bit her lip in anticipation.
*"Yes, I can hear you."* Kitty sat on the side of the bed laughing. She would've thought she'd gone crazy if she didn't know any better.
*"Aiden's lion is Harley. He's a very handsome lion who has been anxious for you to show up."* She could almost see Harley strutting his stuff at what she said.
*"Harley, that's a good strong name. I know you're tired from the wedding, so why don't you and Aiden get back to what you were doing. I'll just sit here quietly and enjoy the show."* Zola curled up as she waited.
Kitty felt herself blushing, thinking of what she and Aiden had been getting ready to do. Now that Zola was with her, it felt a little funny for her to be watching.
"Why are you blushing?" Aiden had been watching her interact with Zola, and he was mesmerized. Now that she had her lioness, it wouldn't be long before she was ready to mark him to complete the process.
"Zola said for us to get back to what we were doing before she interrupted while she enjoys the show." She giggled as Aiden's face redded like hers.
"I can already tell she and Harley are going to get along great. He has the same joking disposition. The lions know when to sit back and not interfere. It won't be weird when we're making love." He wanted to reassure her even as Harley was rolling his eyes.
*"Hey, do you think Zola will allow me to be with her so you and Kitty aren't the only ones who get to have fun?"* Harley was already imagining what his beautiful lioness looked like.
*"I'll let you and Zola figure that out. Now get out of my head, so I can enjoy being with Kitty."* Harley reluctantly laid down with a pout.
"How about we start with a shower first?" Kitty got a pair of panties and pajamas out of the dresser. Aiden grabbed his boxers.
They showered quickly. Kitty was still unsure when they returned to their bedroom. Even though Harley had always been with Aiden, she never gave it much thought, but now that Zola was with her, she felt like there was an audience.
Aiden saw Kitty's hesitation and understood. So many things had been thrown at her in a short amount of time. Now with the arrival of Zola, he couldn't blame her for feeling exposed. He decided to show her that nothing had changed.
She sat on the edge of the bed staring at her hands, when she felt Aiden next to her. He lifted her up and got onto the bed while holding her in his arms. For a minute, he just held her, stroking her back with his hand. Once he felt her relax, he bent down and kissed her.
She responded instantly and held him to her as she opened her mouth, welcoming his tongue. When Kitty thought she was going to pass out from lack of air, Aiden pulled back. He quickly captured her lips again while sliding his hand into her pajama shorts. When he found her already wet, he slid his finger inside. Kitty arched her back, begging for more, but he suddenly stopped.
"Are you sure you're ready? I know hearing Zola made you uncomfortable." Aiden didn't want her to feel like he was taking her out of her comfort zone. He wanted to show her that it would still just be the two of them.
"Yes, I'm ready. It just freaked me out at first." She pulled his mouth back down to hers. Aiden quickly pulled off his boxers before removing her pajamas and panties. Kitty stopped him when he was ready to begin without putting a condom on.
"Wait, we need a condom." She tried to reach over and get one, but Aiden shook his head.
"Not anymore. Now that your lioness is here, you can only get pregnant when you're in heat. So that means no more condoms." He bent down and kissed her as she stared at him.
"What? I thought that wouldn't happen until after we were fully mated. Alright, my mighty lion, let me feel you." Aiden laughed as he kissed her again.
Neither of them expected their lovemaking could be even more intense than it already was. However, as Kitty was becoming more of a werelion, the sensations were more powerful. They made love, so many times they lost count. Kitty and Aiden fell asleep as the sun began to rise over the mountains in the distance.

Tito and Otto had been waiting for an opportunity to get Aiden and the girl for days. Sometimes they took turns watching the road that led to the gated house while the other slept.
Ricky was getting impatient with them as his trial had started. He told them it had now been over a year since the little thief had pickpocketed him, yet she had been able to stay out of their clutches. He promised the twins that no one would find their bodies if they didn't kill the girl and her boyfriend soon.
They were together watching the road when they noticed a lot of traffic going down the usually quiet street. Otto decided to follow the cars to see what was going on. When they passed the gated house, it looked as though someone was having a wedding. They could see large tents and people dressed in nice clothes.
"The gates are open. Why don't we drive in and park with the other cars? Then we can hide somewhere on the property." Otto immediately started shaking his head.
"Look at the cars that are there. You know the owner of this house is a sergeant, Aiden's brother is a detective, and by the looks of these cars, there are more police here than I want to face. We'll continue what we've been doing. Don't worry about Ricky; he'll calm down once she's dead."
Tito sighed in frustration. He was tired of this non-action city. He wanted to go back to San Francisco. Otto was right, though. Even setting foot on that property would most likely be a death sentence. They decided to go back to the hotel for the night. If there was a wedding going on, they didn't expect the couple to leave any time today.
The next afternoon Otto and Tito took up their watch. They didn't wait long for the familiar black car to drive by their spot. The twins were sitting across the street, so they could easily see through the front window of the passing vehicle, which wasn't nearly as tinted as the rest. Otto smiled at his brother as they started following the couple they had been waiting for.
They followed them to the blue victorian house and parked across the street. The twins watched the couple go into the large house and shut the door.
"Let's give them a few minutes to get comfortable, and then we'll sneak in. This place is pretty secluded, so no one should see us." Tito nodded in agreement as they continued to stare at the house.
Thirty minutes later, they got out of their SUV and walked up the driveway to the house that sat back from the road. When they reached the front porch, Otto held his finger to his lips, indicating to Tito to be quiet.
They cautiously climbed the few steps without making a sound. When they got to the front door, Otto reached for the handle, slowly turning it and feeling lucky when he discovered it was unlocked. They didn't hear any noise from inside, so they assumed the couple was not in whatever room the front door led to. As he opened the door, he and Tito slipped inside as quietly as possible. Once the door was shut, they stood quietly, listening for any sounds to hint at where the other two had gone.
As the twins slowly made their way through the house, they arrived at a large room that looked like it could be an office. They walked into the room, and sitting in the corner was something so frightening that it froze the twins in place. When they heard the door to the room slam behind them, they knew they had been tricked and were now trapped. They looked at each other in absolute fear.
"Hello, I don't think we've been properly introduced. My name is Kitty, and this is my lion, Harley." Kitty walked from behind them with a smile and put her hand on the lion's head. Otto and Tito prepared for death as the massive lion let out a deafening roar.
