BK 2 - Chapter 49 - The Escape
Caleb was lying on his bunk, barely containing his excitement. They were going to escape tonight. Only a few hours to wait, and then it would be time. Caleb had no doubt they would succeed because most of the plan had been redone by him, and he considered himself a genius.
He wasn't concerned about his arm being in a cast from the most recent attack or the fact that he could only see out of one eye. He was determined to get out so he could make Trey and Caterina pay. They were the reason he was getting attacked every day. It was time for both of them to die.
He could picture them sitting back, laughing at his expense, thinking he was locked up for the rest of his life. Caleb would show them when he caught them by surprise. He would tie Trey up and make him watch as he raped Caterina. Then he would kill her. He knew Trey would be so grief-stricken that he would be doing him a favor by killing him.
He heard the buzzer announcing it was dinner time, and Caleb got up to eat his last prison meal. He walked down the hall with the other inmates trying to contain his smile. He ate quickly and then went outside to have the final meeting to discuss tonight's plans. The others were already waiting for him when he arrived at the table.
"Are you guys ready?" Caleb asked and missed the others exchanging smirks. They knew he thought he was running things, but they were only doing this to get rid of the pervert. None of them knew what would be waiting for him on the other side, but they knew it wouldn't be good.
"Yes. Are you sure you can do it with your arm in that thing?" One of the men asked, looking at Caleb doubtfully.
"Don't worry about me. I'm not going to let this hinder me. The guard has already been paid off, right?" Caleb asked. They said they would take care of paying off the guard Jordan who was going to look the other way when they passed him in the hall as they headed for the stairs.
"He's been taken care of and said all is still good for tonight." The men decided to part ways so as to not throw suspicions on themselves. After Caleb walked back inside, the others stayed behind.
"I can't stand that man. I'll be glad when he's gone." Jimmy walked over and sat down next to DJ.
"He'll be out of here tonight, and no one will have to worry about his sorry ass again. I feel like I need a shower just talking to him." DJ stood up, and everyone followed him.
They may be in prison, but their crimes weren't for hard offenses. They would only be there for a few months. Jordan had assured them that no one would find out they helped Caleb escape, so they agreed as long as he ended up dead. The men were shown a picture of what Caleb had done to Cat, and they felt sick. Each of them wanted to kill him, but they decided to leave it to the ones who deserved revenge. Just a couple more hours, and Caleb Pierce would be dead.

Trey and Cat were getting prepared for their rendezvous with Caleb. Of course, he had no idea they would be waiting for him when he walked out the gate. He only knew that a car had been arranged to take him wherever he wanted.
Cat told Trey she wanted to keep their plans to themselves. Kitty and Aiden had enough to deal with, and she didn't want to add to their plate. She knew the lions and Trey were looking forward to tonight. She agreed to let them have their fun, but she didn't like being part of the killing. The only thing that made her agree was that Caleb had made Trey break down.
It broke her heart when she opened her eyes for the first time and saw what shape Trey was in at her bedside. Her big strong lion man was crying because he thought she was going to die. Anyone that hurt him like that deserved to die. Cat wanted Caleb to hurt and know what real pain was, so she would let Atlas and Saira do to him what they did to Leo.
They finished getting dressed and grabbed extra clothing to change into. They planned on letting their clothes shred when they shifted because Cat was not allowing Caleb to see her naked. She wore an old pair of jeans and a loose t-shirt that kept her baby bump hidden. Trey had on athletic shorts and a t-shirt.
They walked out to the truck, and Trey lifted Cat into the seat. They headed to a car rental office because they knew Caleb would recognize the truck. They rented a small unremarkable sedan with tinted windows before driving in the direction of the prison. When they got to the meeting place, they both felt the adrenaline running through their veins. The lions were growling with excitement.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Trey asked as he leaned down to kiss her forehead.
"Trey, I have to. He's a monster not only for what he did to the children he hurt and me but also for what he did to you. I never want to see you hurt like that again. I love you, and anyone who makes you cry will have to face Siara and me." She smiled as she met his lips with hers.

Caleb was watching the minutes tick by. The clock seemed like it was hardly moving, and he felt the excitement in him grow. When it finally showed eight o'clock, he got off his bunk and walked out of his cell as casually as possible. This time in the evening, they were allowed to socialize, so no one paid him any attention. He saw the others already waiting for him at the end of the hall.
When he got to the other men, they turned the corner where no other inmates were and walked toward the emergency exit. The guard, Jordan, passed them, and he nodded, indicating the door was open. Caleb led the men to the door and down to the first floor.
He opened the door slowly. They were just a few yards from the gate that was also left open. Caleb saw the gate and smiled; it was almost too easy. As they started to go out the door, they heard running footsteps and someone yelling from above. DJ and Jimmy exchanged a look.
"Caleb, you go ahead and go; we'll distract them. Hurry up; most of this was your plan anyway. If at least one of us gets out, it will be worth it." Jimmy pushed Caleb out the door.
"Alright, guys, be safe." Caleb took off running and missed the other men laughing before shutting the door. Jordan came down just as they were heading back up.
"Did it go as planned?" The guard asked.
"Yes, he should be going through the gate now." They all walked back upstairs, and the men went to their cells. Jordan pulled out his phone and texted Trey that Caleb was on his way to him.
Caleb ran through the gate, closing it behind him. He laughed as he ran down the side road. He was glad he was the only one that got out. Those others were worthless idiots. He saw a small car waiting down the road as he ran, and he felt a new wave of energy flood him. This car was his ticket to freedom.
When Caleb got to the car, he opened the back door and jumped inside, not looking to see who was driving. The car didn't go anywhere initially, and he assumed the driver was waiting for his instructions.
"Drive the damn car, asshole. Head toward Sacramento." Caleb sat back in the seat, but the car still didn't move. He started to say something else when the back door suddenly opened.
"Sorry, the only asshole I see here is you." Caleb started shaking when he looked up and saw Trey towering over him. He quickly looked at the driver and noticed Caterina was smiling at him.
"Nice to see you again, Caleb. This time you're going to be our bitch." Cat looked up at Trey and nodded. Before Caleb could respond, Trey pulled back his fist and punched him so hard he passed out. Trey moved him over and got in the backseat. He wanted to be prepared if Caleb woke up before they got to his final destination.
"Okay, sweetheart, we're ready to take out the trash." Cat laughed as she turned around and began driving. Seeing Caleb's face was all it took for her to know what they were doing was justice. He would never hurt another again.
