BK 4 - Chapter 57 - Jade and Bill
Jade looked at Bill in shock as he held out a gorgeous diamond ring with little rubies along the band. It looked old, like a family heirloom. When Lisa pinched her, she realized she hadn't answered him yet. Breaking out into a huge smile, she leaped into his arms.
"Yes, I'll marry you," Jade said as he stood up with her in his arms. Bill swung her around happily, not caring about anyone else being there as he kissed her. Everyone started cheering as Thatcher and Janel walked over to the happy couple.
"We're so happy for you," Janel said, hugging them both. Thatcher patted Bill on the shoulder after hugging his daughter.
"He asked for our permission before asking you, so that makes him a good man in my book," Thatcher said with a smile. Jade giggled as Bill slid the ring on her finger.
"This was my grandmother's wedding ring. She gave it to me before she passed away, saying she knew it was meant for someone special." He said. The only one who ever cared for him was his grandmother, and he'd lost her when he was sixteen. Bill kissed Jade's hand, and looking into her eyes, he saw tears. He couldn't imagine anyone could be more special than his beautiful mate.
"I will cherish it forever," Jade said, wrapping her arms around him. She knew how much his grandmother meant to him.
Everyone went up to them and congratulated them on their engagement. Jade had already been looking forward to this day so she could mark Bill, and he just made it even better. Lisa looked at her with narrowed eyes, and Jade was begging her not to embarrass her. Who was she kidding? They were talking about Lisa.
"So, do you two want to mate out here where we can all watch, or do you want to do it in private?" Lisa asked. Jade lunged for her, but Bill held her back while Lisa laughed.
"I'm just kidding. I'm really happy for you." Lisa said, hugging the red-faced Jade.
"You can be real annoying, sometimes, you know," Jade said as she relaxed. She loved Lisa, but sometimes, her total lack of caring about what came out of her mouth got on her nerves. When it was directed at her, anyway.
Bill couldn't wait to get Jade back to their room. He had been waiting for someone like her to bring him out of his shell. His parents had died when he was five when they both overdosed. He spent a week home alone with their bodies until his grandmother came to check on him. When she died, he was placed in foster care for two years until he aged out. It had always scared Bill to get close to anyone because he thought they would leave him.
Jade was different. He loved her so much that sometimes he thought his heart was going to burst. Sleeping with her in his arms had been incredible, but he couldn't wait to touch her all over. Bill was thankful they were both virgins so he wouldn't be a disappointment to her. She looked over at him and smiled while hugging Cat and Trey. Just seeing her green eyes shine as she showed off his grandmother's ring was enough to make him die a happy man. He kissed her temple when she walked over to him and sat on his lap.
"I love you." He whispered into her ear. She turned sideways and snuggled against him.
"I love you too. I can't wait to get rid of everyone so we can be alone." Jade said, kissing his cheek. Lisa came over with a smirk. Jade wanted to groan, but she stopped herself. Lisa fed on making people uncomfortable. If she thought Jade wasn't affected, then she would behave.
"I have a present for you," Lisa said, looking at the couple. Jade glared at her.
"What is it?" She asked suspiciously. Jayce laughed at her response.
"Nothing bad, I promise. I thought you might want to be alone to celebrate, so I booked you a room at a hotel. I texted you the confirmation." Jade looked at her phone in surprise.
"Wow, that's great. Thank you," she said, smiling.
"Yeah, well, we didn't want to hear you all night. Some of us need our beauty sleep." Lisa grabbed Jayce and ran before Jade could get her.
"I swear one of these days, I'm going to throttle her. It's hard to believe she's three years older than me. Sometimes, I feel like she's the teenager." Jade said, lying her head against Bill's shoulder.
"Well, at least we got a hotel room out of it. I can't wait to show you how much I love you and for you to mark me." He kissed her forehead and rested his hand on her bare thigh. Jade was ready to leave. She looked around and saw people starting to clean up. It was okay to go, right? She was the birthday girl, after all.
"Come on, let's get out of here." Jade jumped up, grabbed his hand, and walked over to her parents. "We're going to take the car for a drive."
"We know what Lisa gave you. Have fun." Janel winked at her daughter. Jade felt her face flaming. It was one thing to be grown up, but having her mother tell her she knew about the hotel and to have fun made her feel like a kid sneaking out of the house. She brushed it off and kissed both her parents on the cheek before running toward her new shiny red car, pulling Bill with her.
She drove straight to the hotel. It was near the mall in Roseville. Lisa had booked them the honeymoon suite, and it was all set up for them. There was even a bottle of champagne with strawberries on the bed. Jade picked up the card and felt tears in her eyes. This was what she loved about Lisa: she played a lot, but she had such a big heart.

Jade put the card on the table and turned to Bill. They hadn't taken clothes or anything, but she'd figured they wouldn't need them anyway.
"Are you ready to become a vampire?" She asked as she put her arms around his neck.
"Yes, but I want to make love to you first. I know I will be in pain for a couple of days, so I want to make sure I get to have you before that," Bill answered as his hands slid down to her waist and pulled her against him. The last few days had been the hardest of his life, keeping his hands off her. Now, he didn't have to. He could touch and explore every inch of her sweet body.
"Sounds good to me. It's my birthday, so I get to unwrap my present first." Jade said as she slid her hands under his shirt. Bill shivered from her touch. His body felt so alive anytime they were together, like he was made for her.
Jade pulled his shirt over his head and smiled. She loved how muscular he was, not from being a shifter or a vampire, but because of hard work. He was all man, and he was hers. She kissed him while running her hands over his muscular back. Jade unfastened his jeans and slid them down, leaving him in only his boxer briefs. Bill kicked his pants off to the side. She stared at the bulge in his boxers and reached for it, but Bill stopped her.
"If you touch me right now, I'm going to explode. It's your birthday let me take care of you first." He said. Jade let her hands drop and waited. Bill pulled her crop top off and saw her bare breasts. She was perfect. He was nervous, but he reached out and touched one lightly, running the rough pad of his thumb over one of her nipples. Jade moaned in pleasure from the sensations running through her body. When Bill leaned down and took a nipple in his mouth, her knees almost gave out. She didn't think it would feel so intense just from the feel of his mouth on her.
Bill caught her and lifted her in his arms, still sucking on her breast. He carried her to the bed and lay her down before pulling away. He quickly pulled off her denim shorts, leaving her in only a little white lace thong. Bill moved the strawberries and champagne so they didn't make a mess before crawling on the bed beside her.
"You're so beautiful." He said with a raspy voice as he ran his hand over her silky skin.
"Make love to me, Bill. Show me how much you want to be my mate and husband." Jade whispered into his ear while running her hands over his body. She was so wet she was sure there was a puddle beneath her.
"All in good time, sweetheart. I need to make sure you're satisfied, and I plan on doing that all night long." Bill put his mouth on hers before she could respond. He slid his hand down her body until he reached her panties. Rubbing her gently between her legs, he felt how wet she was and couldn't hold back anymore. He needed to taste her.
Jade watched as Bill positioned himself between her legs and tore her panties off. She giggled at the look in his eyes. He looked like he was going to devour her.
