BK - Epilogue

**One Month Later**

In the month since Lisa met her siblings, Jayce was able to shift and mark Lisa. Breanne got her panther and was able to mark Dustin. Adelma received her tiger and marked Morgan. Bill has become a vampire. Carmen and Patrick are also fully mated, and she has her lioness. The family has grown, and everyone couldn't be happier about it. Kiersten and Alex's cubs will be making their arrival in a few months to add even more to the family.

Due to Lisa and Alex returning to San Diego to finish school, they had decided to use Roger and Valerie's house as a safe house for women wanting to leave their abusive husbands. Valerie decided she needed something to keep her busy while making a difference. She was still grieving the loss of Roger, but she felt helping women like Carmen was her new calling.

Wesley was still working on getting the laws passed to protect shifters, vampires, and witches. No one was expecting it to go quickly. It's slowly working its way through the process, so there's nothing more they can do to speed it up.

The hunters had returned to their jobs but volunteered at the group homes every weekend. Seeing everything the family had done for others made them want to help in any way they could. Joe even brought his children on the weekends he had them for visitations.

Jade still didn't have answers about who her birth parents were, even with Trey trying to use her connection to Leo. No one was giving up, though. Trey was determined to find out what had happened and how she became a vampire.

Their Native American friends returned to their reservations but kept in contact with them regularly. Alex and Kiersten returned to his birth parents' reservation and spent a few days with them. They tried to convince Alex to stay, but he told them he had a lot more to accomplish and couldn't do it from there.

The five young couples were staying in Fort Bragg, California, for the weekend. They wanted some time to get away after everything that had happened recently. They were all bundled up on the beach around a small fire. It was late and chilly outside near the sea.

"Jade, have you decided what you're going to study now that you were able to change your college to San Diego?" Lisa asked, leaning back on Jayce. She was so happy to have her little vamp going back with them. The group was looking for a large house to rent. It needed to be five bedrooms because Carmen had enrolled in classes, so she and Patrick were also going to San Diego. They all agreed they wanted to live together.

"I haven't decided yet, but I'm thinking about something in humanities or psychology," Jade replied, smiling at Bill. She was glad he could transfer to a job in San Diego. They had been staying in Bill's apartment, but she was ready for a change of scenery.

"What about you, Carmen?" Lisa asked, looking at her sister, who was curled up on Patrick. They had been inseparable since the day they met. Patrick has been her rock while she recovered from everything she'd been through.

"I decided to get a degree in social work. I hope to eventually work in one of the group homes or with other abused women." She replied with a smile. Lisa was happy to see how much she'd grown in the past month. She had put on some weight, and with the glow she has now, she was stunning. Patrick had made arrangements to transfer to the Naval Yard in San Diego.

"I can't believe everything that's happened in the last couple of months. I'm just glad we will all be together when we return." Alex said, smiling at his family. He put his hands over Kiersten's growing belly.

"We're all young and have our whole lives ahead of us. I can't wait to see where this next chapter takes us." Lisa said. Everyone agreed as they all started talking about going to San Diego. It would be an adventure, but they all knew it would be worth it because their story was just beginning.

Every one of them, with the exception of Patrick, had been saved by the werelion family in one way or another. None of them would be where they are today if it wasn't for their Grandma Cat and Grandpa Trey meeting so many years ago and using their love to make an incredible family. Your family is who you make it. You don't have to be related by blood when love is what holds you together.

**Thank you all for reading Book 4 in the Werelion Series. Lisa, Alex, and the gang's story is not over. Book five will focus on the five couples and their life in San Diego. I will let you know as soon as the next adventure begins. Happy reading. **
