BK 2 - Chapter 51 - Fully Mated
Kitty worked with Valerie every morning for a week, and she was beginning to feel like she was healing. Her past was becoming more of a memory and not what was dictating her life.
She had noticed the changes of being marked as her eyesight was better, and she could run at the speed of light. It took her a while to get used to the small changes, but she had fun with them once she did.
She was lying in bed next to Aiden, hot and sweating like she had a fever. Kitty threw the sheet off, but it didn't help. She was extremely thirsty, so she grabbed her bottle of water from the nightstand and drank the whole thing instantly.
Aiden felt Kitty moving around and sat up. He looked at her in concern. He noticed her body was flushed, and her hair was dripping wet.
"What's wrong?" She looked at him with wide eyes.
"I don't know. I feel funny."
*"It's time for our first shift. We need to go outside. The first time will be painful, but the pain will be gone once we're done."* Kitty looked at Aiden with a smile.
"Zola says it's time for our first shift, so we need to go outside. After we do that, I'll be able to mark you." She jumped up and threw on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. Aiden did the same, and then they ran downstairs, out the back door, and into the yard.
Kitty stopped in a place where no other houses could see her. She was breathing hard as the sweat poured down her body. All of a sudden, she fell to her knees as her body began to change, and she screamed out in pain.
Aiden wanted to help her but knew there was nothing he could do. Zola and Kitty had to do this on their own. He and Harley were ready to shift as soon as their mate shifted.
Kitty had never felt such excruciating pain in her life. She wanted to stop shifting and just be a human, but Zola wouldn't listen to her. When she thought she couldn't take anymore, the pain was suddenly gone. She looked around in confusion, thinking maybe she had imagined the whole thing. However, when she looked down, she saw her clothes were in shreds on the ground. Instead of her bare feet, she saw two large golden paws.
"Zola, you're beautiful," Aiden said next to her. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Zola was the typical gold. However, her ears, tail, and snout were dark red, close to Kitty's hair color. She had the same pale green eyes as Kitty too.
"I'm going to shift into Harley so you can meet." Aiden took his clothes off and quickly shifted into Harley.
The two lions walked around each other almost shyly at first. Zola finally walked toward Harley as he sat down, and she rubbed against him, purring loudly. He thought he had died and gone to heaven. Even though they were already mates, this was her way of accepting him.
Harley did the same to Zola and rubbed against her while purring. They then took off running in the massive back yard being careful to stay away from any areas where a neighbor may observe the large lions playing. As they chased each other, they suddenly stopped when they saw Cat and Trey watching them.
"It's nice to meet you, Zola. I brought a mirror so you can see what you look like." Cat held out a large mirror and smiled as Zola pranced around, looking at herself. She then walked over to Cat and rubbed against her swollen belly, purring.
"You will make a wonderful aunt for our little cub." Cat scratched her behind her ears. Not wanting to be left out, Harley went to Cat's other side and rubbed his large head against her, purring. Cat laughed as she stroked his head. "Harley, you'll make a great uncle."
Kitty couldn't believe what she was seeing. It felt so weird like she was looking through someone else's eyes. She wanted to talk but couldn't.
*"Don't worry, Kitty, after you mark Aiden, you'll be able to mindlink with the others. Are you ready to shift back now?"* Zola wasn't ready yet, but she knew Aiden and Kitty needed to finish the mating process.
"Kitty, I brought you some clothes. Trey and I will go back in the house now." Cat laid the clothes on the ground before they walked back toward the house.
*"Yes, I'm ready. Is it going to hurt?"* She wasn't looking forward to that pain again.
*"Nope. Look down."* Kitty looked down and realized she was back in human form, standing naked in the backyard. She felt herself blushing and quickly put her clothes on. Harley shifted back to Aiden, and he dressed as well.
"Well, what did you think about your first shift Kitty?" Aiden asked as he wrapped his arms around her.
"It was painful but incredible. It was strange seeing things through Zola's eyes. I can't wait until we go running through the forest. Right now, I want to mark you. Can we do it out here?" She asked him hopefully. She was ready to be fully mated.
"We can do it wherever you want. Don't plan on seeing Valerie today because after you mark me, we're going to be spending the day in bed." He leaned down and kissed her before she could say anything. Kitty felt the heat flooding her body, and when she pulled back, she looked up at him, a little dazed.
"I want to do it right here, right now. Tell me what I need to do." She looked at Aiden's neck thoughtfully, wondering if her teeth were strong enough to penetrate his skin.
"When I tip my head to the side, you'll bite right here." He pointed to the soft spot of his neck above the collarbone. "Follow your instincts. You know what to do but don't realize it."
Aiden sat on the ground and pulled Kitty onto his lap, so she was straddling him. He gave her one more kiss, and when he pulled back, he bared his neck for her and waited.
She licked her lips and looked at Aiden's neck. She felt something guiding her, making her mouth water with the need to bite him. She kissed the spot first and felt him shiver. Kitty then opened her mouth, and to her surprise, she felt fangs coming out of her gums. She leaned forward and sunk them into his neck.
She never thought she could be more connected to Aiden than she already was. However, now she felt like his emotions were her own and his pain was her pain. When she retracted her fangs and looked at the spot where she bit him, something compelled her to lick the area. Aiden moaned in pleasure when she did.
"Now you're mine, and I'm yours. No one can come between us. I love you." She had mindlinked Zola, but hearing Aiden in her head felt intimate.
"I love you too. I think it's time we went to the bedroom. I have a need that only my mate can take care of." Kitty leaned up and kissed him passionately, her tongue fighting for control with his.
Aiden stood up, holding onto Kitty, and swung her into his arms. Their lips never separated. He carried her toward the house, only putting her on her feet when they reached the door. Cat and Trey were standing there waiting for them.
"I put a tray of food and drinks in your room. Trey and I are going to the group home, so you have the house to yourselves. See you later." Cat pulled a smirking Trey behind her, begging him not to give his brother a hard time.
"Don't break anything, Aiden." Trey couldn't help saying before they were out of earshot. His brother's face turned red.
*"Don't mind him; he loves messing with Aiden."* Kitty gasped in surprise when she heard Cat in her head. She looked over at her before entering the house, and Cat winked at her as Trey lifted her into the truck.
"Are you okay?" Aiden asked her once they were inside.
"Yes. Cat mindlinked me, and it startled me. I could get used to this. Can we mindlink multiple people at the same time?" Kitty was trying to process this, talking with others using her mind.
"Yes, you can talk to an entire pride of lions if you need to." He took her hand and led her upstairs while she was lost in thought. When she came out of it, he had taken her clothes and his off without her realizing it.
Kitty smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck. She was ready to finish the mating process. She pushed him onto the bed and straddled him. She was a lioness, and it was her turn to take control.
Aiden looked at his mate sitting above him; he had never seen a more beautiful sight. As she slid down on him, they both sighed in pleasure at feeling fully connected. She began riding him slowly, and he was more than happy to watch her.
When they needed more friction, Aiden began meeting her thrusts, and she held onto his shoulders to enjoy the ride. It didn't take long for them to both get their release. Afterward, he pulled her down on top of him and rubbed her back.
"I hope you're not tired because I'm nowhere near done with you yet."
