BK 2 - Chapter 28 - Marking Kitty
Kitty and Aiden sat on the porch swing enjoying the warm summer breeze. Harley was purring softly in excitement over being able to mark their mate. Aiden looked down at Kitty and gave her a light kiss.
"Is there anything you want to do before I mark you? Technically, this will be your last few hours of being human." She thought about what he said. Whatever she wanted to do could be done as a werelion.
"What do you mean by a few hours? I'm ready to get this show on the road. There's nothing that I need to do that can't be done after I transition." She put her head back on his shoulder as the swing slowly moved back and forth.
"I wasn't sure how quickly you wanted to do it. Do you want to go up to our room?" Kitty decided there was no better place than where they were. She wanted to talk with Aiden about one thing that had been on her mind for a long time.
"I do have something I want to ask you." She looked up into the blue eyes that she loved so much.
"What is it?" He pulled her closer, enjoying how she felt in his arms.
"After we're done with this mess with Ricky, and we're living a normal life, do you think you can help me find my birth parents? I know it may be a long shot, but I'd like to meet them if possible." Kitty felt the tightness in her chest when she thought about the people who set her life in motion. Why did they throw her away?
"You've never mentioned wanting to find your birth parents. Of course, that's something we can do." Aiden started thinking of making that a surprise for her birthday. He would have to get Trey's help to see if he had any connections that could find the information he needed.
"I didn't want to bring it up because I thought you might think I was crazy looking for the people who threw me away." Kitty had the same feelings of being unwanted and unloved that she always had when talking about her birth parents.
"There could be any number of reasons they put you up for adoption. I'm sure they didn't expect your adoptive parents to put you in the foster care system. You're not crazy for wanting to find them." Aiden kissed her forehead as he started moving the swing again.
"I'm hoping they'll be happy to see me and want to be in my life. I so badly want to hate them, but I can't. More than anything, I just want to know why they didn't want me." Kitty was beginning to feel a sliver of hope. She often wondered if she looked like either of them.
"You're the most amazing person in the world. If they don't want to be in your life, that's their loss. I only wish for you to get the answers you're searching for." They continued swinging in silence for a few more minutes. Now that she had gotten that topic off her chest, she felt one step closer to knowing where she came from.
"I'm ready to be marked now. Can we do it out here?" He felt his pulse racing in anticipation of finally making her his. Aiden had been dreaming of this day since the first time he saw Kitty in the soup kitchen.
"Yes, we can do it wherever you want. If you're comfortable doing it out here, I'm ready." She heard his breathlessness and hid her grin. One of the things she loved most about Aiden was his innocence in certain situations. She may be younger in age, but she had street smarts.
"Is there a particular position you need me in?" Kitty looked up at him in question.
"Sit across my lap and tilt your head to the side. That will give me the right angle." She positioned herself across his lap with her feet on the swing seat.
"Is this right?" She was getting excited, knowing that after she had her lioness, no one would ever be able to mess with her again.
"Yes." Aiden smoothed her hair away from her neck and rubbed his finger over Kitty's sweet spot near her collarbone. "Are you ready, sweetheart? Once I do this, we'll be tied together forever."
"I'm ready. I want to be tied to you in every way possible. I love you." Kitty tilted her head to bare her neck. She could hear her heart beating loudly in her ears while she waited.
"I love you too. Here goes."
Aiden slowly approached Kitty's neck and kissed where he would mark her. When his fangs extended, he took a deep breath and bit down into her.
She gasped when she felt Aiden's fangs penetrate her skin. The pain was gone before she had time to get used to it and was replaced with an intense feeling of wholeness. Her breathing started getting heavier, feeling him deep inside her in a different way. She closed her eyes as her body began to respond as though she was having the best orgasm of her life.
When Aiden pulled out of her, she felt lightheaded. He licked the spot where he had just placed his mark, sending shivers through her entire body. She looked up at him when he was done, and he smiled.
"You're all mine, sweet Kitty." She felt love fill her body stronger than before, and it took her breath away.
"While Cat and Trey are gone, take me upstairs. Now that I'm marked, I want to see how intense our lovemaking will be before I begin to feel sick." She straddled him on the swing and kissed him passionately, forcing her tongue into his mouth.
Aiden stood up and held her to him while they continued kissing. She wrapped her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck as he carried her into the house to their room. Aiden shut the door and laid Kitty on the bed.
They wasted no time as their clothes went flying, a condom was put on, and Aiden slid inside her. Kitty had never felt so many sensations at one time. Her entire body was on fire, and the tingling she felt when they touched was almost unbearable.
They both came within a matter of minutes and decided to take advantage of their time alone in the house. Aiden had never felt closer to Kitty, and it brought tears to his eyes. He loved her so much. His love for her seemed to grow even more now that he'd marked her. They lost count of how many times it took to wear them out, but when they started to fall asleep, they were both content and happy.

Cat and Trey were on their way back to the pool house when they saw Aiden and Kitty kissing as he carried her inside. Cat looked up at Trey and smiled.
"I think we're getting another lioness. How about we take a drive and get some lunch. I'm sure Kitty and Aiden need some time alone." Trey laughed as Cat pulled him toward the truck.
"Yeah, I don't want to listen to what they're doing. That's my little brother, and I still see him as the kid who followed me around." They decided to drive to Folsom Lake and walk on the beach before getting lunch.
"I can tell that Aiden looked up to you. He's a great kid with a heart of gold. Your influence on him is what led him to meet Kitty. I'm glad they decided to come here with us so they can try to live in peace once Ricky's men are stopped." Trey thought about his brother, and as much as he couldn't stand the rest of his family, Aiden had always been a good kid. That reminded him of something he'd said about Cat.
"You know, I'm not the only one who feels warm and calm in your presence. Aiden mentioned that he and Kitty felt it, too, the first time they met you. He asked if we're sure you were only human before becoming a werelion." Trey looked over at Cat, and she was looking at him in disbelief.
"Wouldn't I have noticed long before now if I had an animal living in me? I doubt I'm a witch or a vampire because I don't cast spells or drink blood." She continued laughing, but Trey wasn't so sure.
"You know there are many different supernatural beings. Some may not be as noticeable other than in their mannerisms. Would it be okay if I found someone who could run blood tests to see if you have anything besides human and lion?" She was shocked that he believed she could be something more than a human all these years. Cat absently rubbed her belly, which was still flat, but it comforted her knowing their cub was in there.
"Do you really think I could have already been part of your world before I knew it existed?" Trey kissed her hand as he pulled into one of the parking spots at the lake. He turned toward her with a smile as he thought about all the lives she'd touched just by being herself.
"There's no denying you're one of a kind. There is every possibility that someone in your family tree may have been supernatural." Cat thought about what he said and knew if she didn't find out, she would always wonder.
"Okay, let's find someone who can test me."
They got out of the truck and walked hand in hand on the lake's beach. It was a warm day, so many people were there, but they didn't mind. Cat thought a lot about her family history that she didn't know much about. If she wasn't entirely human before becoming a werelion, it had to come from her mother because Martin was nothing but pure evil.
