Mirabelle's POV
Mirabelle's POV
I led everyone to Silverline or as our new Alpha likes to call it, the devil's playground, to which I assume she's the devil?
Oh well, whatever the case I'm proud of her. I have been wanting her to retaliate against people who talk her down for so long but never in a million years would I have envisioned her killing so many people. Nonetheless, I'm proud of her. Camilla saved many lives by taking those that hindered them from being free.
Camilla not only handed me the map to Silverline but the plans for the entire pack too and I must say, she picked a good one.
The pack is big, not as big as Dark Moon but bigger than Midnight Saints. The plans are exquisite, I'm sure Martin, my one sane brother would appreciate how the pack is planned. The area has been getting worked on for sixteen years and it's close to finished with more than enough space to spare.
Getting to Silverline was fun, I got to know a few of the people and what their wolf form looks like. We travelled mostly in our wolf forms. I suggested that we all rest for the night for the sake of those who were severely depraved and mistreated but no one wanted to stop, they needed no sleep.
Sleep is foreign to them apparently, and to me as well, I don't feel tired enough for it despite how far we've journeyed to here.
Everyone's first impression of Silverline is a literal jaw dropper, people have been wide eyed since we got here. Silverline looks like paradise, a reward, and Camilla deserves it without question, everyone here does. From the main gate, to the beautiful main pack house and smaller houses surrounding it which aren't small in size but smaller than the pack room, I love it.
Nobody wanted to look around without permission because they're scared of their new Alpha, and honestly, I don't blame them either. A fraction of me fears for her and what she sees herself as, I know she's blaming herself for killing people that deserved it because that's her nature, Camilla is godly.
Convincing everyone to look around with me was hard but I managed it. We had found people fixing the final touches on the back house I assume and some of the new pack members assisted them while others came with me to take a look around. Overall, my favorite was the training yard, it's exceptionally vast.
All in all, in my opinion, Silverline is amazing. The main pack house is thirty minutes from the gate, and houses start from around that area, it's like a township here. I can't find the words to describe how beautiful it is, from its trees to the pools, it is absolutely breathtaking. You can tell every little detail was thought out crucially, I almost feel bad for whoever was to take this pack before Camilla.
Everyone is in love with Silverline, there are more than enough houses for each one of us. Its plans may not be fully accomplished yet but, I know we can do it ourselves. Everyone seems so hardworking, running on nothing but water from designated streams and wild fruits for nearly twenty-four hours, they're already helping perfect the pack. I don't think Camilla would mind, she doesn't care for perfection, she cares for hard work a little more.
Emily and I are sitting on the pavement, enjoying the sun I hadn't known was a privilege until three days ago. Emily talks a lot but her stories are entertaining to me.
Emily told me she studied human resource management but her passion is sleeping. I couldn't help but laugh at that. I love how she has swiftly moved on from the hell she lived through but I know she needs therapy, she needs someone to talk to about this copying mechanism she is accustomed to, I don't think it's beneficial to her mental health.
“So, how do you know her?” Emily asks, her hand dancing in the sun.
How do I know Camilla?
Well, that's a story no one should be hearing about, I hate that because of whom I know, she's acting like something she isn't, cold.
I bring my hands to cradle my knees, my head resting on it as I slant it towards her. “She's like my sister,” I grin faintly. That's the only safe answer to this because I doubt she would want to be addressed as my sister in law ever again.
I know I could say she's one of my best friends but that description doesn't do our relationship any justice.
“I see, your sister is awesome.” she giggles, her head falling back. Her happiness for someone who has been through so much is alarming to me, I'm hoping there's a therapist in this group of traumatised people. “She has good hands, she looks like a teenager.” she adds.
A laugh tickles the back of my throat, the realisation of Camilla being no older than Seventeen only now registering. “She is,” I tell Emily, an abrupt laugh escaping my parted lips.
I halt, the warm sun reflecting on us replaced by a shelter of some sort. My gaze shifts from Emily to the shelter beside me, one of the builders we found stands tall behind me. I quickly rise, Emily following right after me.
“Sorry to disturb you, but I've been told you're the Beta here?” he asks, his gaze shortly travelling to Emily before me.
“Yes?” I respond, sounding as more of a question than I intended it to be. “How can I help you?” I ask, this time sounding a bit more confident than seconds ago.
“I would like to speak to your Alpha,” he answers instantly.
My eyes turn to Emily before flickering back to him. “Alpha is a little busy.”
“Oh,” he clears his throat. “Well tell him we didn't expect you this soon but we will try our best to finish up quickly. Our work is done for the day but we'll see you tomorrow to finish the touches on the house.”
“Oh, you don't have to, we will manage fine.” I inform him.
He nods, offering me a set of keys in hand. “Alright, tell you Alpha I send him my regards.”
Him?
I don't bother to correct him, and neither does Emily, her attention seems to be zeroed on his physic in this working suit and boots on his feet. My hand reaches out, and he places the keys in them, nodding his goodbye as he turns to leave.
The man assembles his workers, packing them all into a large tractor, the largest I've ever seen.
I watch them disappear into the perfectly paved path leading them out. Just when I turn away from the sight, the sound of another car graves my earshot. I quickly turn, my gaze surveying it. I can't see who it is because of the tinted windows, but they've got my attention peeked. A minute later, the car parks in the same spot the builders were parked not so long ago.
The butterfly doors swing open, familiar poorly rainbow painted nails coming into view. I sigh in relief, Camilla is back. I've been worried about her for a while.
Kingston also comes out the other door, saying something to her as she closes the door of the car. Camilla and Kingston appear to be arguing, I'm not hearing them but I can see it, they continue to argue as they walk forward. The fresh set of Camilla looked absolutely great, the blood stains wasn't her look.
Kingston looks away from Camilla, his gaze scanning the house as he whistles cheerfully, unknowingly putting a stop to his and Camilla's argument. “Nice place you've got here,” he grins, tossing me a wink.
My lips curve into a grin, following his gaze to the house. “It is nice, very nice.” I affirm.
“Not bad,” Camilla says, sounding literally unimpressed. I understand why she would be unimpressed, Dark Moon is the most beautiful and clean pack there is but come on, Silverline is equally if not more beautiful.
“Not bad for real, it's one of the nicest packs I've seen and there's another shared functioning centre town just fifteen minutes away.” Kingston nods, his eyes shifting from the house to Camilla.
“Certainly better than your pack,” Camilla counters.
“Takishini is neat.” he argues, his hand dramatically flying to his chest in a feigned hurt expression.
“This will be neat too,” I frown. My hands crossed over my chest in an equally dramatic manner.
Kingston smiles, he has a wonderful smile. The two dimples on either side of his face are enough to weaken every woman, he is undeniably handsome.I return his smile, shaking my head and gaze to Camilla. “Close your eyes baby,”
Camilla narrows her eyebrows in confusion, I nod to affirm my sentence. “Belle, we have no time for this,” she sighs.
I rolled my eyes at her, “Okay, Alpha Camilla, hold out your hand.” I tell her, and in response she stretches it out, no questions asked or eye rolling, no expression, nothing.
I fold the keys into my hand, releasing them in her open hand. Her gaze flickers between me and the keys, making me snort out a laugh.
“The keys to this heaven,” I tell her.
“Hell you mean to say,” she counters. Her lips stretching into a dark grin, exceptionally identical to the smile Tiana wears all the time.
“Well,” Kingston begin. His voice caught both mine and Camilla's attention. “It has been delightful luna and Alpha's sister, I feel we've come a long way, I mean look at us.” he grins, “When I met you both, you were no where close to running a pack and now you guys are running one.”
