Arielle POV

Arielle's POV

My eyes veer from the bare baby foot to a giggling Liam, I shake my head as I grab the sock from his hand. I feel like he does this on purpose, Jacques Liam Burton doesn't like to wear socks, everytime I put socks on him without shoes he finds a way to rid himself of them. Take right now for example, I just looked away for one good second and he took it off, giggling like he loves pissing me off.

I roll the sock back onto his little foot, earning myself a wail from him. Rolling my eyes, I take him into my arms, playfully throwing him up and catching him until his crying turns into a more pleasing sound, a giggle, only then do I rest him on my hip.

I grab his teether and my phone from the bed, sticking the teether in his mouth and my phone in my back pocket, the little jump I do to pull my jeans up bounces him on my hip, making him smile. He loves bouncing, the day he discovers or gets old enough to use a trampoline or bounce house, I know for certain I won't be able to get me off.

With Liam on my hip, not making a sound as we go downstairs, I begin to wonder if I gave birth to my husband's brother's duplicate. Truth be told, Liam has his uncle's entire personality, he is the most quiet baby I've ever seen. If I'm being frank, I never imagined myself with a kid, Ryan and I weren't trying for one but we weren't not trying. If I go back to back with the dates, I'm certain I got pregnant the moment he commanded me to come around him, squeeze his cock dry and later commanded me to keep his seed inside me. I heeded that command to a T, just thinking about it has my fresh pair of panties getting ruined already.

I bite back a moan at the raw memory, a hand startling me by tapping me lightly on my shoulder. I tense, quickly turning with a scowl, Tamina. I release a breath of relief, making Tamina and Vanessa giggle.

“Luna, you look nice.” Tamina grins, her hand reaching for my son's teether, taking it out of his mouth. Liam instantly peers at me, not crying, not smiling, just glaring at me like, "you see this mom?"

“Luna huh? what's up with everyone calling me Luna these days and not by my name?” I ask Tamina, wrapping both my hands around Liam, securing him on my hip as he tries to grab his teether from his crazy aunt who won't let him have a moment of peace. Tamina has taken a liking to bothering my son as much as he bothers her daughter, she does it to get a reaction from him, one that proves he is in fact his father and not uncle's mini-me.

“Luna sounds so much better than your name,” Vanessa retorts.

In response, I frown at her, my gaze veering to my new team player. “You like mommy's name don't you Jacques?” I pout, leaning against his face and nuzzling his nose. His hand reaches for my hair, grabbing a fistful and yanking it hard, a giggle escaping him when I flinch loudly at the unexpected action.

“See, definitely Ryan's clone. He's acquiring daddy's skills pretty young,” Tamina winks.

Oh God, I shake my head. A giggle escaping me as I free my hair from Liam's tiny hand. One point to Tamina for finding a justification for her point but ten for making the comment on the pulling of hair.

“Have either of you seen my mini Alpha's nanny?” I ask, acknowledging Tamina's comment about Liam being Ryan's duplicate.

“She's in the kitchen, but why do you not only look good but smell amazing too?” Tamina asks, her hand waving at Liam who sits quietly, his head on my chest, complet unimpressed by the attempt to grab his attention.

“Oh, this?” I giggle, “It's just something I threw together in like five seconds, is it nice?”

“Too nice, must we get ready for baby number two?” Vanessa teases, a grin stretching across her lips.

“No.” I instantly blurt out, I know she's simply teasing me and complimenting the ability of the dress to seduce Ryan to his knees upon first glance but I can't help it, baby number two won't be coming just yet. Jacques Liam needs to be at least five before I begin to think of getting pregnant again, I don't think I can split my time among my work and more than one baby. Don't get me wrong, I love my son but another baby? After the pregnancy scare I had after the first week Liam and I were intimate was highly concerning. I resorted to my old birth control, we're being careful not to make another Jacques Liam .

Both Vanessa and Tamina pause, “Luna tone, okay. So then, what is the occasion?” Vanessa asks.

“Hmm, Alexander is sick so he can't accompany Alpha to his meeting today and so he asked me.”

Vanessa nods, mouthing an "oh,". Ryan never asks me to do consuming luna stuff because I grumble but I love it when it's with him.

Any chance I get to be with him, I take it, he latches onto it too but what he doesn't know is how happy it makes me to be with him like that, watching him in his natural habitat, being the ruler he was born to be.

Tamina tilts her head, her gaze running over my outfit. “That doesn't explain why you're dressed so nice,” she shrugs.

“Kindred East,” I tell them. In response, their eyes widen, jaws declining to the floor.“I know,” I giggle. “The royals will be there too.”

“Well then, don't keep Alpha waiting too long, your makeup will be smudged by the time you get there.” Vanessa teases, circling me to grab Liam's attention. My son really makes my friends do ridiculous things just to earn a laugh or smile from him.

Tamina reaches her hands out, “Give me my son in law, and get going because when Ryan sets out to play, not even birth control will keep baby number two from coming sooner than anticipated.” she says, taking Liam from me. I let her take him, Liam instantly leans on her chest like he did on mine up until seconds earlier.

Ashanti would be jealous of the sight, her godson comfortable with his possible mother in law rather than her, the ultimate betrayal.

“Are you sure you want to look after him?” I ask, acknowledging that Tamina has a baby to look after, one that my son can't seem to leave alone when in sight. He will crawl to her, attempting to stand at his early age just so he can annoy Selena.

“Hundred percent, you know he is less adamant when the crier is around .”

I shrug, shed right, Liam is an angel when he's with Mina's daughter, Selena. I've found the babies sleep longer when laid together or close to each other, If I can't soothe my son, I take him to Tamina's daughter and he goes mute, the second we peek at Selena.

The two are already bonded, I know they're too young for us to make assumptions about bonding and such but I know one thing, if she isn't his mate, Selena will turn out to be his best friend. Rather his Beta when he takes over one day because they're so close in my opinion, nonetheless, we won't know for sure until they're both eighteen or well, when Selena is fourteen, till then speculations continue.

“Kiss, kiss. I love you, don't scratch Selena okay.” I tell Liam, the pitch of my voice going up more than I intended it to.

“They are baby love bites, and you can tell she loves them.” Vanessa yawns.

Waving her off, I shake my head. My phone vibrates in my pocket, I don't need to peek to know my husband is getting impatient. I quickly run outside, my heels clicking on the wooden ground outside as I run to the car. Liam is leaning against it, his phone in his hand, “Sorry I'm late, I was chatting with Mina and Nessa.” I truthfully say.

In response, Ryan nods. “Baby girl, you talk to your friends all day.But you know what?” he grins, “You are worth the wait, and an absolute breathtaking sight to behold.”

I grin, leaning in to kiss him before my hand fiddles with the passenger seat door.

Ryan growls in annoyance, his hand restraining mine so he can open the door for me, and he does. I mentally roll my eyes, slipping into the passenger seat as he walks round to his side. How did I get this lucky?

Not only is this man a ten, I'm like a four to his ten, and yet, he loves me? He married me? He's obsessed with the idea, the thought, and everything in between about me. I was feeling insecure after having Liam, despite getting my body back, with so much protest from Ryan, I sometimes feel insecure about my sex appeal to him. Still, he eradicates all those assumptions, the moment he lays eyes on me, he is eye fucking me ten ways into Sunday and I love it.

Once in, Ryan doesn't waste time starting the car, my playlist bursting through the speakers at a low volume because he hates it but made a copy to play when I'm in the car with him. I grin, watching him drive, how did I get so lucky? A small box catches my eyes at the top bottom of the accelerator pedal. His gaze follows mine for a second before solely focussing on the road. “Oh that, it's a present.”

“For me?” I counter, excited already to see what lies inside the tiny box, it's from an expensive shop, that I know for a fact.
