Camilla's POV
Alpha's Hated Mate
Camilla's POV
Crushing spirit is exactly what I'm in tonight. There's way too many egotistical men in this room for me to sit back and relax. I've done my research on every Alpha in this room, I know everything I would need to take them down. Walking away from Clarissa and Mirabelke, I swipe a drink off the waiter that walks past me, trembling, hard.
Champagne, that's the drink. I try not to down it all at once, I sip it slowly and carefully, my gaze studying the room for my victims. I'm looking for Male Alpha's that think they are superior to female Alpha's, there's quite a good number of them out here tonight but I'm struggling on which ones to crush, they all look so...fun.
“Bingo,” I say to myself, a smile spreading on my lips as I eye my first victim.
Fredrick, comfortable in a circle surrounded by his fellow Alpha's two of which I'm very familiar with. Even from where I stand, I can tell he is bragging to his friends, they're in a corner, actively drinking and listening to him. A bunch of kiss ups if you ask me. I walk over, ready to see if I can make him cry or not, I bet I can, the tough ones always break faster and better than everyone else.
“Good evening, gentlemen.” I greet, gaining everyones attention instantly.
“Alpha Kennedy,” I say reaching for a hug that he reciprocates.
I proceed to greet everyone with a hug, call it my version of the Judas kiss. Smiling, I turn my attention to my prey for the night, actively flirting with him when I stare at him.
“I'm not sure we've been properly introduced but I'm.. ”
“I know who you are,” he cuts me off, his tone filled with excitement.
I smile, “And you are?” I ask, feigning confusion. I know exactly who he is, how many times he's beat his luna, what he does after that and with whom. It's disgusting, mental and physical torture is unacceptable, especially towards his mate. I want to make him plead at my feet, it'll be a pretty sight once I'm done with him and lucky for me, Mirabelle isn't here to stop me, and neither is Kingston.
“Alpha Frederick Douglass of Winderigh Pack,” he introduces himself.
“Winderigh Pack,” I echo. “Hmm, never been to it.” I tell him.
“You are welcome to visit anytime you want.” he grins, his gaze trailing down to my boobs before rising to meet my phony smile. He isn't sure whether he is scared of me or attracted to me yet, I vote scared, and if not, he will he when I'm done with him.
Turning to Alpha Kennedy, I smile, genuinely. “How is your daughter Alpha Kennedy?”
“She is fine, she's actually here somewhere.” he tells me, his gaze now roaming the room in search of her.
“Of course,” I say, sipping my champagne. I'm not fond of his daughter, I'm just being nice because he's a colleague and business partner as of last year when I bought the shares off half his partners in a hotel he owns.
Alpha Kennedy grins, his gaze settled somewhere behind me, I tense, a familiar fragrance hitting my nostrils, going all the way down to my stomach, the familiar feel of bees stinging returning again. I move, watching everyone speak but the sound of voices is lost to me, lost in the pounding sound of my heart. I didn't realize Adrian was here tonight, not until I smelled him a few seconds ago.
“You know Camilla,” Alpha Kennedy tells him.
My feigned smile drops, replaced with nothingness as I stare at Adrian. I didn't get a good look at him at the restaurant, but he appears talker now, and much more built than i recall.
“Breathe Camila, breathe.” I consciously tell myself. He looks good, good enough to eat byt with my sex deprived vagina, of course he would appear so. My body is betraying me, soaking my fresh pair of panties as I stare him down. It's logical my body reacts like this after seeing an attractive man but my brain can't betray me now, that's not any man, he is my downfall.
“Mia,” he says, the sound of his voice snapping me out of the trance I've fallen into a second ago and I'm so thankful.
“Excuse me,” I grin. “I see someone I have a bone to pick with.” I tell them, trying to leave but he grips my hand, holding me back. The feel of his hand on my skin sending chills to every part of my body, I panic, a laugh escaping me. There was a time I would have loved this interaction, and now isn't it.
“Let go,” I tell him, my gaze dropping to where his hand holds my wrist.
“Can we talk?” Adrian petitions, his hand not loosening from my own.
“Unfortunately,” my gaze rises to meet his. “I am incredibly occupied Alpha Adrian.”
“It will only take five minutes Camilla,” he appeals, his hand still on mine. If he doesn't let go, I'll either kill him or kiss him, either way, I'll regret both decisions later.
My tongue slides over my lips, wetting them slightly. “First of all, we are not friends so that's Alpha Camilla to you and my time is expensive.” I glare. “If you want to talk to me, make an appointment with my assistant and secondly, fuck off.” I growl, yanking my arm hard so it's free from his grip.
Adrian watches me with wide eyes, seems like he wasn't aware my status changed long ago. He wouldn't make me his luna, but the circumstances he put me in drove me to become an Alpha. “Have a good evening Alpha's,” I say to the rest of them, walking away with anger and frustration building up inside me. Not only did he ruin my plan for fun, he sucked the out of the rest of the night for me.
I'm walking aimlessly, yet grateful Adrian didn't run after me when my eyes fell on Kingston walk into the, a sigh of relief escaping me. My feet change their route, going straight to Kingston, my hands wrapping around his chest.
“Hey, Beautiful.” he murmurs.
“Hey.” I whisper, my face still buried in chest, hiding me from everything I can't stand tonight.
“Are you okay?”
I peer up at him, nodding, my arms still wrapped around him. “All good. Can I get a kiss?”
“You're not getting into trouble are you? Because if you are, I'm be bending you over my knee instead of kissing you.” he warns.
I have my head, “As much as I would love to get spanked with that gorgeous belt,” I sigh, my gaze trailing to this exquisite leather holding his tux pants up. “ I'm not tormenting my opponents, well none that don't deserve it.” I tell him.
Kingston grins, his hand cupping my face, and then, he leans in, placing a soft kiss on my lips. Pulling away I smile, but refusing to drop my arms from where they rest. Kingston wraps a hand around my waist, only then do I drop mine, following him. Turning to my left, I gulp, he's watching. I knew he would be watching, I wanted him to see I was over him, but I feel like crap now.King less me to our table, pulling a chair out for me.
“Thanks,” I grin. “Are the girls alright?”
“Absolutely,” he settles into his seat. “They're having a costume party, and it's not Halloween.”
“Oh,” I nod. “I guess that explains why I haven't seen my Beta for an hour now.”
Kingston chuckles, “Believe me, I'd give anything to play tea party with my girls right now.”
“I don't doubt you would boy princess,” I tease, earning myself an arched brow. It's a dare, one I'm willing to take him up on, especially after tonight, I'll need the distraction, I'll need the lesson of our sessions, I need reminding of who I am, I seem to have forgotten when I let Adrian a attempt to man handle me.
Adrian and Santiago are seated opposite us, with a few of their friends. I hang on to Kingston for dear life, he too notices Adrian's presence and tenses, making me switch seats to where I can hardly see him.
When the charity auction begins, I try to be attentive but an hour into it and even I have lost interest, I grab my phone from my purse, opening one of Arieya's games. This charity is more boring than the one hosted by the Royals every yearr, I'm striving to keep myself awake. “Beautiful what's wrong with you today?”
A lot.
“Hmph,” I pause the game. “What do you mean?”
“This is very unprofessional of you, and it won't go unpunished unless you're with good reasons.” he tells me.
I roll my eyes, “Don't think I haven't noticed you on that phone too.” I say, my gaze trailing to the phone he holds underneath the table. The only difference being he is discreet about using it, and I'm not.
“Well this is boring, but you enjoy this stuff.”
Nope, I don't enjoy it, he trained me to act like I enjoy it and so far, I've been doing an excellent job at it but the moment Adrian shows up, and I can't even pretend to be attentive anymore.“King, I act interested but look around.” I sigh, “Literally nobody but Clarissa gives a shit about this charity, they're all just moving up and down, drinking and socializing, it seems like we're all here for free food. I'm just here for the kid's entertainment and also because Clarissa is a friend of mine.”
