Camilla's POV continues
“Wet,” he growls, withdrawing his hand. “I could almost lose focus, but no. I want us to talk more than I want to fuck you.”
“There is nothing to talk about,” I hiss.
“But there is, and whether you like it or not, we're going to have a conversation.” he tells me, his hand tracing my closed lips like it didn't just test my panties. “Likd two grown adults, without you acting like an avenging teenager. Is that clear? Alpha Camilla.”
“Yes.” I nod, only for him to up my smile with one of his own, his hold on my wrists revoking it's hold.
“Good,” he praises, and I'm not sure what it is I'm getting praised for doing. “I'll see you tomorrow at ten, my Pack or yours?” he asks, both hands now sinking into his pocket.
“Neither,” I growl, my hands caressing my wrists. “I'm not stepping foot in that dump and I don't want you anywhere near Silverline.”
“Like it or not, you have to talk to me. Or would you rather I just show up and introduce myself to our daughter?”
“Fine,” I rasp, nearly stomping my foot on the ground.
Adrian laughs, “You are so hot when you're mad, I could kiss you.”
I roll my eyes, “Goddamn fucking coward.” I murmur, my feet attempting to carry me away from this mess but my hand is grabbed again, my body crashing into a hard chest.
“Brat,” Adrian growls, his lips crushing onto mine. I try to fight it but my body fails me once again, devouring his mouth like he does mine. I've proved the opposite of what I did at the restaurant, but fuck, if the feel of his lips on mine doesn't send electricity throughout my body. He grins and releases my lips grinning from ear to ear at my desperation. My mouth is desperate on his, his hard cock pressed into my stomach, not only causing me to moan but also the heat between my legs to flare, desperate for soothing.
“Beautiful,” A tiny voice sobs, a loud cry penetrating my desire impenetrable ears.
Even in my long gone horny state, I recognize that cry, Arieya.
I can't seem to push Adrian away fast enough, proving to myself if I truly wanted to earlier, I would have. Arieya stands a few feet away from us, sobbing her poor eyes out. I hastily rush to her, kneeling to comfort her. “My baby,” I whisper, rubbing her back. “What's wrong, did anyone hurt you?”
“Daddy,” she cries out.
Oh, okay. I lift her off the ground, panicking as I look towards Adrian who stands in place, staring at me with a crying Arieya. “Shh, it's okay my love, let's go find Daddy.”
“Is that our daughter?” Adrian rasps, his eyes on Arieya who is also looking at him as she cries for Kingston.
I shake my head, “No, she's my daughter.” I gulp, stepping back when Adrian begins to move. “Don't even think about it or you'll regret it, I'm serious Adrian. If you want any chance of us talking, don't try shit with me right now.”
“Okay, fine.” he raises his hands. “I'll stay right here.”
“Mommy,” Arieya cries.
“Yes, yes.” I breath, “Stop crying, we are going to find Daddy and go home. Where's your sister?” I ask, already running from her father.
Arieya points over my shoulder, and I turn, holding her tightly as I back to Adrian. “Let's get your sister so we can go back home,” I say as I hastily walk past Adrian.
Taking Arieya's word for it, I find Karla, who tells me her aunt left a while ago. When I walk back where I left Adrian, he's gone, some relief settling into me but fear creeping in once again when I see him at the main hall. Karla is the first to spot Kingston and Mirabelle, making it him quicker than I do with a sobbing Arieya. Kingston instantly takes Arieya into his arms where she quiets instantly, resting her head on his chest.
Mirabelle pulls me away while King is distracted with Arieya, “Camilla, whats going on?” she whispers.
“Huh?”
“Why do you look scared, this isn't you, you don't get scared anymore. Remember?”
I don't respond, my eyes are wandering the room in panic. Mirabelle sighs, and I gulp, finally seeing him by the bar, his attention fixed on the man beside him. Her gaze follows mine and she nods, “Oh, him.”
I shake my gaze away from him but he stay imprinted in my brain, Adrian is an intoxicant, one I thought I could water down a few years later but no, looking at him right now, at us, at this, I'm convinced there is no ending for us, should have stayed away from here, from him, from the toxic display of warmth we had earlier.
“He, he..” I trail off, my tongue sliding over my lips. “He saw Arieya.”
“Is that why you're so worked up, he won't take Arieya, he's not that stupid.”
I shake my head, he is possessive, he won't let me keep Arieya, he wants her. I've kept her away from him so he'll do the same. I go back to Kingston and the kids, Arieya is sound asleep on Kingston's chest, with Karla by his side, also clinging to him.
Playfully pinching Karla's cheek, I look back up at Kingston. “I want to go home,” I tell him.
“What's wrong, are you okay? You look flushed.”
“I'm fine,” I let out, reaching my hands out. “Give her to me, I'll take the girls home.”
Without protest he places Arieya in my arms, causing her to stir slightly when I secure her in my arms.
“I'm coming too.” Belle murmurs.
“No, don't worry about it. You stay, enjoy the party. Clarissa put work into this, it won't look good if we all leave without saying goodbye and besides, I need you to tell me which of the brunettes Kingston takes.” I feign a smile, tossing Kingston a wink.
“Goodnight baby,” "King says, leaning down to kiss Karla's cheek. Strengthening back up, he places a kiss on my lips.
“Eww,” Karla protests, disapproving of the tongue kiss King gives me.
“Goodnight Beautiful.” He chuckles.
“Goodnight,” I laugh, peeking at Arieya.“Come on my future Alpha,” I grin at Karla, stretching my hand out to her.
Taking both my daughters, I head out the back, with Mirabelle escorting me out and waiting until the Uber comes. I'm a rattled mess the entire time home, checking for cars of suspicion, cars that seem to be following me. It's all in my head, I still know it even as I'm tucking the girls into bed, I'm a mess but I make the effort to text Kingston and Belle I'm home safe, and the girls are sleeping.
I'm thinking of calling Tee while I'm laying in bed, but it's late, she was with Hades when they dropped me off earlier. They seemed to be arguing, Hades was following Tee at the store and she wouldn't acknowledge his existence. Apparently, Tee didn't want Akira to go to a sleep over, but Hades authorized it regardless of her opinion. I think Hades is still with her, trying to pacify her like he isn't to marry someone else in a few months time.
Calling Tee would only mean disturbing her night and Hades' too, and I hate to think it but it would disturb some "amazing make up sex" in the words of Tee herself and so, I hold myself to sanity.
I cuddle up next to the stuffed animal Arieya constantly leaves in my bed, hugging it for dear life as my mind contemplates all the possibilities of what is running through Adrian's head as well as why I'm so fucking dense around him, thinking with nothing but the heat between my legs.
