Angel's POV continues

I walk away, heading straight for my room and dismissing everyone that so much as mentions or glares at me. The second I'm in my room I slip out of my jeans and top, tossing them to the floor as I walk to the bathroom, taking the quickest shower I've ever taken. I pull a black spaghetti strap dress from my closet and slip it on. I took a deep breath and pulled the dresser chair, I sat and sought out my makeup. Gazing at my reflection, I nod to myself.

Adrian can't be avoiding me this much, he always talks to me, even if it's to wave me off. So what changed today?

"Camilla" A voice in the back of my head lets out and I detest it, I detest that deep down I know she's succeeding in pulling him into her web. I clasp my eyeliner and begin to wear my war paint.

Yes, war paint because this is what it is, fighting for the love of my life at all costs and eradicating every threat that comes my way.

There's never been one threat he couldn't get rid of til now, but of course, he doesn't see her as one. Camilla might have fooled Adrian and everyone else but I'm not deceivable, I see right through her.

She is the biggest threat to mine and Adrian's relationship but she won't get far, I will get rid of her just like I did with Devontae years ago.

I didn't want to do it, he was good to me, the sex was incredible and we had some chemistry, the only problem was he wasn't Adrian. I had to make a choice, a sacrifice that I occasionally almost regret but it was worth it. I made the decision for the benefit of all parties involved, even if my parents never understood my justification for this and pretend I don't exist when they see me, it's fair.

Looking into the mirror one last time before I head out I grin, I look nice. I'm wearing my most expensive lipstick, knowing full well it will be smeared on my face by the end of tonight. I take a deep breath nodding, “Time to win Angel.” I say to the girl in the mirror, her war paint immaculate as ever.

I know Adrian is in his office so that's where I go to look for him, I push my boobs up from the outside of my dress. Bringing my hand to the door, I knock.

“Come in Angel,” Beta says from the other end. I twist the handle and stroll in, calculated steps. My eyes meet Santiago first, “How did you know it was me?”

He smiles at me, eyeing me up and down. Despite his dislike for me, he can't deny how attractive I am. When he brings his eyes back to mine, he shrugs. “I could smell your desperation.”

Adrian's laughter fills the room and I turn to look at him before turning back to Santiago. “Hmm, Beta, can you excuse us for a while?”

He kicks his feet to the floor, clutching his laptop off Adrian's desk, “Yea, but less is more sometimes.” He comments, walking right past me. I know he is referring to my perfume, I twirl in it six times because I know Adrian prefers it. When the door behind me finally closes, I walk closer to Adrian.

He looks at me, clearly appreciating what he sees. “What's up Angel, are you leaving?”

I shake my head, “She's coming between us.”

Adrian looks at me with confusion.

“Your little sister's best friend.” I mutter.

“Camilla?”

I nod and he shakes his head, his gaze still fixed on mine. “No, she's not doing anything. She's just...Umm well I mean Camilla is… she well-”

“It's fine.” I snort, cutting him off. He can't even explain what she is. I move closer, walking to him and sitting in his lap, each of my legs on either side of his so I'm straddling him. His gaze instantly falls to my chest, “Can I ask you one question?”

He doesn't look up to me, when he groans, “What's that Angel?”

Resting a hand on his shoulder, I frown. “Is she good in bed like me?” Adrian's head falls back into his seat, his body jerking before he fixes his posture. He is laughing, I'm serious but he finds it funny. “You can't be serious.”

“Hmm okay since you won't answer that either, I feel obligated to let you know I've been bad.” I pout. Adrian's finger traces my lips and he arches an eyebrow, needing me to tell him what I did. “Alpha, I've done bad things and I must be punished.”

His hands find my ass, squeezing it tightly. “How bad?”

I flinch from the pain but focus on the mission at hand. “Well, you see I-”

I'm cut short by someone bursting the door open. I groan in frustration as I look over my shoulder, Racheal. Another brat created at the hands of Adrian and Santiago. We should be getting along but ever since the arrival of Camilla, Racheal has had no desire to converse with me. Racheal's eyes are wide, her mascara is running and she can barely hold herself up. When Adrian sees the state she is in he instantly rises, forgetting I'm in his lap and I fall on my back when he does.

Racheal runs into his arms and he caresses her back. I pick myself up and peek at the person that just ruined my plan, crying in the arms of my lover. I shift my gaze to him, he is clenching his jaw so hard I'm worried for his teeth. But that's just him when he's angry.

“Sweetheart, what is the name of my ensuing victim?” He asks sweetly, his tone calm but I see the rage building up. I instantly make my exit, I guess we can continue this after he has murdered whoever made her cry and I know for sure he'll come looking for me after this, he likes to fuck for distraction too.
