Mirabelle's POV continues
“How Camilla can't bag Adrian.” I nod in approval because truly, it baffles me as well. Every pretty girl has a story of how Adrian fucked her and he hasn't tried to take her panties off? Shocker. “No violation but Adrian is a free male hooker. He is so easy, if you want him in bed, You can have him without effort.” I laugh.
“I don't want to be just another girl in his bed.” She murmurs, jabbing her fork in her food.
“You're not and you'll never be. You're more than that Camilla... Give me your hand.” I pause holding out my hand for her. When she places it in mine Racheal places her's on top of mine. “If he doesn't want a relationship with you, his loss there's a lot of men who do.” She smiles.
“Thanks.” Camilla whispers.
“I'm full.” Racheal grimaces, shifting her scrutiny to me.
I rescind my hand from between her and Camilla's. Reaching into my mini handbag, I pull out Adrian's black card. “I will get the check.” I wave the debit card as I slide out of my seat.
“Don't forget the smoothies to go, frozen.” Racheal hollers.
I proceed to the counter and ask for our table's bill. When it's handed to me I pay, not forgetting the smoothies. When I get to the table, Camilla and Racheal are done eating their dessert plus mine enclosed. I set the smoothies on the table and each one grabs their pick before we head out the restaurant. “What's next on the list?” Racheal groans.
“Vegetables.” I sigh.
“Okay but can we go to the mobile store? I need new airpods.”
We turn in the opposite direction, to accommodate Racheal's errand. I guess I could get a screen protector too. Mine is cracked.
“Camilla!” The voice comes from my left, I turn to find five girls, striding towards us, their walking is in sync as if on a runway. I watch as they stop in front of us, all slanting their heads to the left. My eyes scamper from them to Camilla, her eyes are wide and she looks pale, it's like there's no blood reaching her face, no oxygen going into her bloodstream.
The girl in the middle, grins at her. She's beautiful, long pink hair, long legs to match her hair and a figure that looks like she walked out of a magazine. “Milla bear.”
“Tiana.” Camilla whispers.
Oh so this is Tiana, I honestly didn't picture her like this. She's not prettier than Camilla, like she said. Grinning widely at Camilla, she opens her arms. “Give me a hug.” When Camilla doesn't react fast enough, she pulls her in for a hug. Finally relaxing as she hugs her back. Everyone takes turns hugging Camilla, they seem genuinely happy to see her.
“Long time no see.” The short blonde girl says.
“New friends? Look at you aren't y'all cute, you're like the three musketeers.” The model looking one says.
“No.” Camilla's reply is instant. “We're not the three musketeers, we're better than that.”
Who is this girl and why did Camilla tense up at first.
“I'm just bummed no one is introducing me, Hi, I'm Lexi.” A brunette girl smiles, flickering her fingers.
“Oh, sorry. Umm, Jane, Grace, Evelyn and Lexi. This is Mirabelle and Racheal.” She says, pointing to each one of us as she says our names.
“And me did you forget about me?” The model grimaces.
“No, I'd never forget about you Tiana.” Camilla exhales. “Guys, these are my business partners from Dark Moon.”
I clear my throat in an attempt to draw attention to myself. “Hi, umm sorry to interrupt your reunion but we have to go, we're running some heavy errands.” I say clinging to Camilla.
“Okay, no problem. Milla bear the kids miss you, you should make time to see them even if it's just the Sextuplet's.”
“No problem TT.”
Tiana and her friends slightly frown looking over my shoulder to where I know a lingerie store is. I find it amazing how they give the same expressions without trying to. Once again I clear my throat.
“We'll get going..”
“Oh my god, hey.” I hear Raquel say from behind me, I don't need to look to know it's her. I would recognize her voice anywhere, it has a certain high pitch and violence to it.
“Day ruined.” Rachael murmurs looking over my shoulder at Raquel. I turn around to meet Raquel and Vivian.
“Hey girls.” I smile at them.
“Raquel.” Tiana sneers her name, like it's some sort of curse. She eyes her up and down slowly, her eyes judgmental, the very same way Raquel stares at Camilla without effort of hiding her dislike for her and it makes Raquel uncomfortable, getting a taste of her own medicine.
Seeing her body language change makes Tiana smile. I watch their interaction and smile too. Maybe now Raquel will learn to not intimidate or bully Camilla. Raquel stares down and Tiana grins, satisfied with what she's done to her. She shifts her gaze to Camilla, who just like me was watching the interaction.
“Wow Milla bear. You've made a lot of friends, I'm proud of you.” She beams. Raquel scans Camilla up and down, not believing it's her.
“Five on five, seems like a standoff dance battle.” Lexi giggles.
Vivian laughs, “No. We're not friends with her.”
Tiana turns to Vivian and gasps. “Oh, Interesting.” She says turning to Camilla, when their eyes meet, Camilla shakes her head and Tiana rolls her eyes.
They carry out a wordless conversation that both of them seem to understand just fine. Tiana shrugs darting her eye's to Raquel. “For a second I thought I'd have to be nice to you...” She laughs. “But you're not friends with Camilla so it's fine, however that also means you don't like her.” She asks, folding her arms.
“We have a history.” Raquel counters.
“Hmm, I see. Fair warning, stay away from Milla bear. I know just how easy she makes it to bully her and you have a bone for trouble.”
“I don't -”
Tiana holds up her finger to stop Raquel and it works. “You heard me, Camilla is off limits to you. Jane, keep an eye on our darling Raquel if she tries her shit with Milla bear, notify me.”
Lexi and Racheal laugh, “I'm loving this.” they say in unison. weird.
“Sorry.” Tiana whispers to Camilla before walking away. Her friend's follow behind her, not before they give Camilla a hug each. we watch them until they melt into the crowd. I feel like Tiana just amplified the blaze of Raquel and Camilla's feud.
“Something tells me her threats are not empty pertaining to Milla bear.” Racheal grins at Raquel. “How do you even know her, she's from Dark Moon.”
“She is Mikel's sister.” Raquel breathes, “She has it for me because I lost her dog.”
Camilla's jaw drops. “You lost her therapy dog? No wonder she's mad, Tiana is a good person as long as you don't mess with what she loves, and Zukie is number one on the list.”
“I found it. She just has something against me.”
“Just like you do with Camilla. See karma finds everyone and your's dresses in short leather skirts with boots to match it.” Racheal grins, she enjoyed this encounter way too much. “Come on Cami, Belle will find us. Let's talk to that cute guy who has been staring at you throughout this encounter.” She flickers her fingers and walk's away with Camilla.
