Arielle POV continues

“No, for a very, very special, beautiful woman.” he grins, his gaze fixed on the road.

“Oh, so I'm not special or beautiful anymore?” I pout, my hands crossing over my chest.

Ryan chuckles, “You are baby but it's a custom made necklace Dad had ordered to be made for Camilla.”

Oh, Camilla.

I haven't been able to get through to her or to Mirabelle. I miss my little sister in law and her free babysitting services. I've been texting and calling with no reply in the last four if not five weeks now. Dad must have made the necklace for her eighteenth birthday, he gifts her a symbolic gift every year and I'm certain this one outshines the rest of the gifts.

“I think we should throw her a party. I know she's Midnight Saints Luna but she's still our baby. Her 18th birthday is coming up in a few days and I want to surprise her big.” I murmur, a wide smile on my lips as I lean into my car seat.

“She hasn't come to see Dad yet, did you tell her he's back? She's going to be mad if she doesn't get to see him before he leaves again.”

“Yes,” I nod. “I told your sister and she said she would convey the message if she saw her. But you know what is bothering me, I've been texting Milla but she never picks up, I truly hope the rumors are false.” I sigh.

“Rumors?” Ryan asks, “What rumors are those?”

I let out a snort, a nervous one. “Just silly rumors about Adrian and Camilla.”

“Go on,” Ryan urges. Prompting me to speak of not one or two, but every rumor I referred to.

“Just silly stuff babe,” I gulp. “It is nothing to worry about, I'm sure she's just busy with her mother-in-law, the fire Luna is back.” I tell him.

Ryan nods, his grip on the wheel tightening, he isn't convinced by a word I said, neither am I but I do know she would have come home to us if anything near the rumors occurred. I could easily ask someone about everything but I prefer not to, for the sake of my sanity.

“Alright, but I'm sending someone over there first thing tomorrow morning, I miss my baby sister.” he asserts, his tone filled with concern.

The ride to Kindred East is mostly silent, Ryan and I make small conversation while I'm half asleep in my seat, taking the opportunity to rest because I barely sleep these days due to my baby teething.

He keeps both his dad and I awake but I ensure not to awaken his dad most of the time but the man is a light sleeper, one wail from his son and he's awake, soothing him against his bare chest while ordering me to rest too.

If I knew he was going to be this functional and good dad to our son despite his busy hours, I would have given this awesome man a baby the first day he asked me for one.

In Ashanti's guestroom, my legs spread wide, hair in a tangled mess with him hunched between my legs, his cock smeared with my virginity blood from a minute ago.

He trailed his hand on my inner thigh, scooping the mix of his come and my blood in a circular motion on my clit as he looked me dead in the eye and rasped, “You're so goddamn perfect, I want to own you in every way possible, I love this.” he said, pressing his thumb onto my clit, a whimper escaping me. “Have my babies, give me a baby Ari, one just as perfect as you Arielle.” In that moment, I was ready to sign my life away, not simply because his mouth devoured my pussy like the meal he'd been starved his whole life, but because I wanted everything I could get from him, his kisses, his touch, his babies, I wanted it all.

But, I was too young to have a baby, and it was the first time we had actually interacted, I had heard so many rumors about him all which were fact. I knew he was insane, but I wanted him any way I could have him.

A month later, he called on Ashanti's phone while I was in bed suffering from the effects of mother nature. He asked if I was pregnant because I was sick a lot, when I gave him an evident no, his reply was simple, "What a shame, but you will have my baby one day Arielle Caviar Walker." He said, the line going dead right after.

Everyone in the room went quiet, my mother included, I hadn't thought much of it when I put him on speaker but damn, he silenced the room.

After an extremely long ride, we eventually made it to our destination, Kindred Park. Which has me wishing we took the jet but the road trip was fun. Alpha Kennedy is the first to greet us when I arrive at the venue, stepping out of the car.

“Alpha Kennedy.” Ryan greets, acknowledging the man in front of us and his impressive reputation.

“Afternoon Alpha.” I greet him, leaning against my husband's car.

“Good afternoon indeed Luna, you look dashing as always.” he grins, his teeth perfectly lining up when he does. “Ryan, your wife is a star you don't look so bad standing next to her.” he teases, veering to Ryan who chuckles.

“Hmm, very true.” he retorts, his gaze roaming over me in a way that makes me blush. “She is truly a stunner.”

“Indeed,” Alpha Kennedy grins. “Alpha Tay was looking for you earlier.” he tells Ryan, turning around to scan the surroundings. “Oh, look, there he is now with that unbearable Dax.” he groans, his gaze resting on Alpha Dax and Tay.

Ryan leans into me, placing a soft kiss on the side of my neck. “Darling, I'll see you inside.” he tells me, and just like that, he and Alpha Kennedy fade into the crowd of Alpha's.

I sigh, looking for someone to socialise with considering there are only a few luna's here and most of them aren't on my colleagues list for one or no reason. I lean back onto the car, to avoid them, that is until I see a familiar face, pretty and gentle. “Luna,” she greets. A warm smile stretching onto her lips.

“Alpha Clarissa,” I grin, returning her smile.

“No please Luna,” she snorts. “Call me Clarissa, it's awkward for you to call me Alpha.”

“And yet, you call me Luna ?” I frown, both of us sharing a laugh a second later.

Clarissa leans on the car next to me, clutching her purse in front of her in an elegant manner. I like Clarissa, we attended summer camp together as kids for about five years. She is one of the most humble and down to earth people I've ever met in my life, absolutely incredible in every aspect of the word.

“So, did you hear about the untimely death of Charity and her Alpha?” she asks, making me nod.

“Ah yes,” I sigh dramatically, trying to feign some sort of sorrow. “ I did hear about the tragic case, very sad.”

“Oh please,” Clarissa laughs. “That bitch deserved what she got and her useless husband too. I always thought he didn't deserve to be Alpha, a rat would have been more deserving and as far as Charity goes, I'm not over the glue situation at camp.”

I let out a laugh, she and her never did get along, Charity was a snob. Even as a kid, she was clearly an entitled future bitch of a Barbie wife.“Well, whoever did the job deserves a Grammy and a high five that's for sure.”

“Indeed,” Clarissa nods. Her expression became a tad more serious, “Can you guess who did it? I met them and let me tell you, I got chills merely sitting next to her.” she whispers.

“Her?” I gasp, “It was a woman?”

Clarissa nods instantly, leaning closer to me. “Don't tell anyone you heard it from me, I enjoy running my pack and I don't want to die yet.”

I laugh at how dramatic yet serious her tone is. “So, have you been to Silverline yet?”

“Nope.” she retorts instantly, and it shocks me, Clarissa is very social, especially with female Alpha's. I'm intrigued now, I admit that the news of the Takishini massacre didn't phase me but knowing a woman is responsible for it, has me more than intrigued in the matter.

“Who is the Alpha ?” I ask her, audible enough for her to hear but not enough for the woman that walks past us to hear.

“The devil,” she responds. Her face turned. A little pale. “That's why it is the devil's playground, however, it is beautiful. The Alpha has renovated the place according to the pack members' liking, very considerate.” she grins. I nod in response, watching her sigh. “Silverline is great and so is the Alpha, as long as you follow the rules and you don't cross the Phoenix Alpha that is.”

“Phoenix?” I echo.

Clarissa chuckles, “Yes, it is said the Alpha rose from the ashes like the bird does so therefore the Phoenix Alpha.” she explains.

Oh, makes sense.

“Well, that Alpha has gained popularity excessively.”
