Kingston's POV

Alpha's Hated Mate

Kingston's POV

The last two days have been eventful, and Camilla is missing it all. She's been sleeping since she gave birth to baby Arieya,(pronounced Are-ray-yeah) named by Tiana, Hades and I.

Arielle insisted we give her a middle name to go with the beautiful name her mother picked for her. Tiana and Hades left that very day, and Today, he took her with him on a business trip, one that she didn't want to go on but Hades insisted on having her in sight all the time.

Arieya is with her aunt Mirabelle, I haven't seen her in nearly four hours and I miss the little bundle of joy. She's an easy child, Arieya doesn't cry much and she sleeps all day. Karla and I were out at the hospital, getting a few scans done on her after the newly found activity she performed in an attempt to reach Camilla in time. For being such a good girl, I have Karla ice cream in bed, but it's been a minute since then and she's not touched it since.

“I don't want ice cream anymore,” she frowns.

“I figured,” I grin. “What is it that you want then?”

“I want to hold the baby.” she sighs.

I smile, she's excited about the baby, she wants to see her every second and honestly, so do I. Now if only Camilla could show the same enthusiasm towards the baby, that would be great and honestly, I hope she awakens with a change of heart.

“Luna Arielle said she's my sister, and I love my sister, we're going to be best friends.”

“Yes you are,” I grin, caressing her hair.

“Okay, can you go and get her now? I want to play.”

“She's too little to play with you for now.” I tell her.

Karla frowns, “What isn't she too little to do?”

“Look,” I chuckle. “She will grow up very soon but for now, you can watch her so she doesn't fall, call me or mommy if she cries, help mommy pick her clothes, that kind of stuff till you can play.”

“Okay, I guess I'll take that ice cream.” she grins, reaching for the ice cream bowl beside her.

I chuckle, but my attention is diverted to my phone vibrating in my pocket. Rising from Karla's bed, my hand reaches into my pocket, taking my phone out. The caller ID suggests it's my cousin's house number, I frown at the screen, she rarely calls me, much less after I 'betrayed Takishini' according to them.

“Hello,” I answered, bringing my phone to my ear.

“Andrew,” A woman utters on the other end, her voice making me freeze up for a minute.

“What do you want?” I seethe, anger brewing up inside me.

“I am sorry to bother you but-”

“You have five seconds before I cut this call.” I say, interrupting her.

“How are you?”

Her question makes me snort, how am I? How dare she ask me that. “You called me just to ask me that stupid question? fuck off.”

“Daddy, you're cursing.” Karla giggles.

I step away from her bed and go towards the door, putting just enough distance so she doesn't hear me.

“Is that Viviana, Is that her? Can I talk to her, please let me talk to my daughter, I just want to say hi.”

“Karla is my daughter Angelica,” I yell, unable to withstand the way she called her daughter. “You are one foolish woman, you know that?”

“I just.. ”

“Shut up, don't you dare even think about my daughter. You can't claim to be her mother, you only care about yourself, you broke our home for your selfishness. And now, after all these years, you've only today realized you birthed someone? Woman please, and don't give me that, "I love her, I made a mistake. I want to be in her life," speech because you don't know how to love anyone else except your selfish ass self, you took my son from me, abandoned our home and now you want to know how Karla is? Angelica don't push my buttons because you won't like me, so hang up and go wherever the fuck you've been all these years!” I say, cutting her off instantly.

“No, don't hang up, it's important, I want us to talk about our son.”

“What about him, you fucked up his life too?”

“No, yes,” she whispers. “I mean, no, I can't tell you over the phone, it's important. Meet me at your cousin's house.”

“Angelica I...”

“I'm sorry please, it's not about me, just come.” she pleads, ever the sweet Angel when she begs but I know she's far from that.

“Fine, I'll be there in two hours time.” I say hanging up. I turn around only to find Karla staring at me with wide eyes.

“What's wrong Karlita?”

“Was that mommy? I heard you say her name and yell at her,” she murmurs, eyeing me with those innocent eyes.

“Umm no,” I tell her.

“Daddy, Alpha Mommy said we should always be honest with people and you are not right now.”

Wow, I blink, taken aback by her words. Lately I've found myself doing this for the last few days. Camilla has made an impact on my daughter, everytime I speak with her, I reckon she sounds just like her.

“You're a big girl huh?”

Karla nods, eyeing me intensely.

“Yes, it was her.” I truthfully say.

“Don't be mad at her because she left, we're fine without her, and...and, umm, mommy told me that sometimes, people need to leave our lives so we can grow in happiness and be free.”

“And you remember all that,” I scowl. Partially saddened by the fact that every word I say goes in one ear and out the other but when Camilla speaks, it all sticks with her.

“Yes, because I remember all mommy says.” she grins.

“Mommy is right,” I tell her.

Karla nods, “Yes, so don't be mad, be mad at her. You can't be angry for no reason, she can go back and stay at her place, don't bring her here okay?”

“I'd never,” I chuckle.

“Promise daddy,” she holds out her pinky. “ You won't bring her here, I already have a new mommy and I love her so much. I don't want another mommy.”

“I promise I won't ever bring you any mom's, just Camilla. She's your mommy forever.” I assure her, hooking my pinky in hers.

“Yes!” she squeals excitedly.

“Eat your ice cream, and stay put. I'll find a babysitter. I have an errand to run.”

“Babysitter?”

I turn around, only to find Mirabelle, cradling the baby in her arms as she walks in.

“Yes, I have an errand to run.”

“I'll watch her.” Mirabelle tells me.

“Hello my angel,” I grin, leaning softly to see Arieya. She smiles, slightly, attempting to suck on her finger.

“I will see you when I get back, okay lovie bunny, yes.” I whisper.

“You and Arieya are such a pair, hurry back before she troubles me.” Belle giggles.

“If she persists to cry, lay her on her stomach and if you do feed her, burp her but I think she's still full.” I tell her, tapping Arieya's cheek. My gaze lifts to Karla, “Karlita, be good for auntie Belle.”

“Promise,” she giggles, putting a spoonful of ice cream in her mouth.

“You too Lauriana, behave for auntie Belle.” I whisper to the baby. “Auntie loves you but she's scared of you and your changing eye color isn't helping.” I tell her, making her stir in her sleep.
