Arielle POV continues

*******

When I woke up this morning I had to run straight to Camilla's room to make sure she was there, and she was sleeping in her bed with her hair messy all over her face.

Ryan was happy to see her too and he said he blocked her number from my phone so no messages from her will ever reach me, it was terrible on his part but I understand him he's afraid she'll be estranged like his other sisters who rarely come over but we talked about it and Camilla will always be with us, she will be coming over from time to time and she'll always communicate with us.

If she doesn't then I will know something is wrong plus we can keep an eye on her through social media. She's back to posting her usual book worm pictures and nature on her Instagram.

“Mmm Luna you seem to be doing better now.” Doctor Morgan smiles after giving me a thorough checkup.

“Yes I am, thanks to my best auntie ever.” I smile looking over her shoulder to Camilla.

“This little one is the luckiest baby in the world. Everyone is eagerly waiting to meet him and love him and spoil him. If things keep on this way, you'll have a smooth delivery and a smoother pregnancy.”

“I will need you to tell Ryan I'm okay and not to worry please? He is breathing down my neck every second and it's annoying.”

“I will try Luna.” she smiles.

“Thank you.”

Camilla and I head over to the waiting room, Tamina also had her first checkup today only because Camilla dragged us both here and I'm glad she did. We got to find out I'm doing better. I think it's because I'm happy so my baby is happy as well.

I was scared to death about how my pregnancy was going, however now I'm at peace. “So how is our Alpha's first child?” Ashanti inquire’s, crossing her fingers behind her back. I know she worries a lot.

I take a deep breath. “Well Alpha’s first child is doing just fine.”

“Ah good lord yes, I knew walking on hot coals would work.” Ashanti claps.

“You walked on hot coal for me? You don’t even entertain that tradition.” I frown, overwhelmed that my best friend went that far for me.

“Yes, always baby.” She nods, opening her arms and I hug her.

Ashanti is my mate before my actual mate, she’s my twin flame. I knew the day I walked into that kindergarten class we’d be best friends. She pushed me down because I grabbed a toy she wanted and I got up and pushed her harder right before I helped her up and that is how a lifelong friendship was formed.

We start moving but Camilla stops in her tracks, “Baby, what are you doing?” Tamina asks her.

Camilla looks up from her phone, tucking it into her pocket. “Ummm my friend keeps texting me, there’s something she needs me to see back at Midnight Saints.”

“Oh, well if your friend needs you then go. But don’t stop communicating with us.” Vanessa frowns.

“I will have someone take you back if you want.” I sigh.

She smiles at me, I think she wants to go back. “Okay but I need to pick up a few things first.”

Tamina pulls her under her arm and we go to the car, Throughout the ride Tamina bounces baby names off us, lord help her if she has a girl because every name she has thought of is a boy name and I on the other hand I already have two names picked for my baby, one a girl’s name and the other a boy’s name so whichever one I have I will give the other name to his or her sibling in the future.

Ryan and I discussed names the night he took my virginity, we didn’t use protection but my mom had me on birth control since I hit puberty, I hated my period so mom of the year fixed it. Now that I think of it, I haven’t talked to my mother lately, she doesn’t know I’m pregnant yet.

Driving into the pack grounds I see Thalia screaming at her mother, Camilla sees it too. She rolls up the window and shrugs in her seat.

“You know, she could use a friend like you.” I say peeking through the backseat.

“No, that’s something Tee needs to do by herself. She knows where to find me when she needs me.”

“Okay.” I nod not asking further questions. When Ashanti parks the car we all head out, Camilla heading straight for her bedroom to pack what she needs. “I hope she’s really doing better.” I sigh.

“Don’t worry about Camilla, she’s okay, I wouldn’t have clinically validated her health if I didn’t think she wasn’t alright.

She won’t ever go down that path again, Talitha is gone and so is that part of her.” Tamina rubs my back, she was Camilla and Talitha’s psychiatrist not just because she’s my friend but because she is one of best psychiatrists in the pack.

She understands better than anyone how Milla’s mind works and how Talitha’s mind works too. She did an exemplary job but that wasn’t enough to evade tragedy.
