Mirabelle's POV

Alpha Hated Mate

Mirabelle's POV

Last night was the most part of it. Camilla's cousin was clinging to me, only sparing me whenever Camilla was in sights, all in an attempt to get Adrian's contact details off me. The poor girl didn't realise it was a complete waste, Adrian is dead to me.

Everything and anything he's ever done is buried with the memory of him. I lost a brother but I gained a sister, and another awesome brother.

Speaking of brothers, Camilla's brother tried to hit on me last night. I won't lie, Hades is handsome, but not my type, he scares me a little with his entire dark aura game. Camilla seems to be the first to tell him off, everyone seems to adore him but it's clear that he has the final say, unless Camilla disputes it.

Similarly to what she did last night, she blankly told him to leave me alone or Tiana would shoot actual daggers at him rather than the ones her eyes were shooting at to which he smirked and walked away, eyeing Tiana as he did.

I don't understand the dynamic of their relationship similar to how I can't grasp the sexual tension crammed relationship between Camilla and Kingston. Camilla and Kingston getting sexually involved wasn't a surprise to me, and neither was it to Tiana, despite being there with us less than sixty minutes beforehand, she understood the chemistry and picked up on the belt on sexual tension between the two.

Nonetheless, what did shock me is that they fucked in the bathroom of her Aunt's house. Previously, hearing such information from Camilla slightly grossed me out because it involved my brother, a man who had an underwear phase in junior high simply because girls complimented his boner, gross.

But with Kingston, I don't mind hearing about it much, they act and argue like siblings but according to Camilla, he sure as hell didn't fuck her like his controlling little sister, he fucked her like the controlling Alpha she is.

This morning, I woke up earlier than I anticipated, taking the opportunity to catch up on med-school. That was over two hours ago, right now, it's currently 9:38am and I am yet to see any sight of Camilla.

True to his word, like he claimed, Hades dropped Tiana here a few minutes ago, he didn't even bother to ask for his sister, the only thing he said was he had a meeting in Kindred Pack, and expected Tiana to be ready and waiting for him to pick her up in two to three hours, dependant on how long his work takes to get done.

I hope it takes forever, I do get jealous of the bond between Tee and Cami sometimes but I've learned she too gets jealous of the relationship I've formed with Camilla.

Tee and I settle in my room, awaiting to see Camilla because we've left her a ton of voicemails and text messages. I don't know where she is, a fraction if he is worried but a bigger fraction knows she can take care of herself just fine. The first thing I did was check Camilla's office this morning, she wasn't there, it made me assume was still asleep but then, only Karla is asleep in her bed. As I welcomed Tiana and Hades, I ruled out the possibility of her going for a drive because all cars of the pack were packed, even her "demon" & "ghost" cars as she addresses them.

They're her two favourite cars. Ghost is a Lamborghini and Demon is a G wagon.

I also went as far as calling her assistants to assist me with the withheld schedule, she's free today, no meetings before 3pm. The kitchen was the last place I looked, just in case she and Kingston weren't cooking, or fighting each other.

My bedroom door swings open, revealing Camilla. “Hey,” she greets closing the door behind her, only now does she glimpse Tiana on my sofa, a smile stretching across her lips as she hugs her. “Hey Sunshine, I didn't think the prick would bring you.”

Tiana giggles, “Devil always pulls through on his word, he will always be straight on his word.”

Camilla shrugs, settling in the empty space next to Tiana. “Sorry I'm a little sweaty,” she says, her gaze veering to me. I frown, Camilla never sweats but she has evidently worked up a sweat this morning.

“We've looked everywhere for you,” I tell her.

Camilla shrugs, tapping her phone into her thigh. Tiana's gaze veers from the phone to Camilla's face, analysing her with a blank face, the same one that Tiana wears, except Tee is wearing it better, she always does and Camilla is memorising slowly. “What's wrong Bear?”

“Nothing, how are you, did you sleep much?”

“Barely, I can't sleep these days, I'm sick half the night and when I'm not, I'm wondering how I got myself into this situation.” Tiana retorts, her gaze flickering between both Camilla and I.

Camilla pulls her in for a hug, tossing me a sympathetic gaze, she doesn't have the words Tee needs to hear, neither can I but she needs to hear something.

“Have you told the baby's father?”

Tee shakes her head, “No. Hades scares me, he thinks I smell like death and if I bring it up, he will surely assume I'm trying to kill his baby on purpose because what kind of person doesn't sleep?”

“You know, I'm disliking him more and more when I hear his name.” Camilla snickers, making us both laugh.

“Is this because you're both the devil?”

“Mom must be so proud,” she laughs, her gaze drifting to her phone. I've tried to ignore the way her phone has been stealing her attention.

“Cami, what's going on, what's on that phone?” I ask, the exact moment it lights up, instantly picking her attention.

Camilla grabs it, her face scrunching the more she looks at her phone. “Oh my God,” she gasps.

“What's wrong?” Tiana asks, tending in her seat, she's picking up Camilla's energy.

“Umm, nothing darling, I am talking to Arielle, I just need her opinion on something.” Camilla tells her, looking up from her phone but not reassuring enough for either one of us, Tee seems to be getting as tense as Camilla, their breathing now in sync despite their efforts to control it.

“What about, maybe we can help, you know 'we are always here for you.”

“Is this about you and Kingston last night?” Tiana asks, at the same time that Camilla begins to chew on her nails.

“No, King has nothing to do with this crap ” she scowls, her gaze shifting to her phone once again, shaking her head as she reads whatever is on it. The phone vibrates in her hand and she rises, tossing it at the wall in a feat of rage. Tiana and I both follow the phone as it falls, undoubtedly not surviving the impact.

“Why should I pay for his mistakes again, haven't I taken enough hits for him, how am I the bad guy now?” Camilla screams, pacing around the room.

Oh, so this is about Adrian?

“Adrian? Again, are you serious Camilla?” I snort, watching her closely from my seat.

“No.” she blurts out instantly.

“No,I hope not because he's going to hurt you again you should stay out of whatever is happening if he is losing his mind let it be so, I don't want to see you become a disastrous version of this. Tee,” I call out, shifting my gaze to her. “Help me out here.”

Tiana shrugs, “I don't think I'm in a position to speak on that, she's old enough to run a pack, she sure as hell could be smart enough to know better when it comes to him.”

“I do, and I promise you, it's nothing like you think, I hate Adrian, this is just...complicated.” she lets out.

I nod, not asking further. I know deep down she has a soft spot for him but I won't allow it to be her downfall. Camilla has come so far, she's changed a lot but I prefer this Camilla over the one I met months ago. I prefer this cold hearted devil over the pushover angel she used to be. I just detest that she's something she herself can't recognize.

“I hate this,” she lets out, her gaze settling on Tiana. “I need a bath and a nap, and you're taking one with me.” she sighs, not willing to argue on it with Tiana.

“You're just like your brother, ordering me around like it's easy.” Tiana frowns, crossing her arms over her chest like an outraged toddler.

“I don't know about him but I love you, have you eaten yet?” Camilla asks, slanting her head towards Tee.

“Do you think that psychopath would let me out without shoving food down my throat?”

“I'm asking if you've eaten and not if Hades thinks you've eaten.”

Tiana rolls her eyes, defeat evident as she glares at Camilla. “Fine, I ate.”

“Tee?” I press, nearly laughing at how her lies are clear as day to me.

“A banana,” she mumbles, sinking into her seat.

“Come on, let's get you fed and me cleaned up.” Camilla tells her.

“I'll send food up on my way out, and both of you better eat.” I volunteer, seeing that I'm already well on my way to treat my shopping addiction.

Camilla offers Tee her hand, pulling her from the sofa, both of them scowling when their hands touch, some sort of discomfort in their stare. I shake my head, they're having that wordless conversation that neither one can contemplate.

“You should meet my daughter, she loves babies.” Camilla lets out, making Tiana laugh.

“Yeah, still not clear on how you ended up with a four year old but are you sure it's not because of her daddy?”

“That's what I said!” I snort, Tiana laughing along, a wink tossed at me while Camilla frowns. The conversation between her and Kingston isn't one she's willing to have just yet, she's treating them like a game, and so is he. Now my only interest is seeing who wins between them, Alpha Camilla or Head Trainer Kingston, my money is on the sex, that's the only thing that they'll be winning at for now.
