Camilla's POV continues

*****

It's been three hours since I walked in on Kingston jerking off on his bed, two hours since we started off to Kindred East and now, we're at the royals. It's Victoria's birthday and for that reason, I've made it my mission to tease the shit out of Kingston the entire time we're here.

Kingston is sitting somewhere with my cousin, aunt Amaya's son or was it aunt Carolyn? I can't seem to grasp who is who. The birthday girl has been avoiding me, despite her mother's efforts of forcing her to interact with me. However, she has been good with Mirabelle, seeking her out every chance she gets and Belle seems to be not so into the attention she's getting from Victoria and her friends. The poor girl keeps asking her about brothers, and that's not someone we discuss.

Aunt Sheryl on the other hand hasn't left me alone, we're strolling outside of her home, the party is an outdoor party.

“Thumbelina, your brother is here, he just texted me he's at the parking lot.”

Right, brother.

Aunt Sheryl has explained I have a brother whom I know nothing about but the birthday girl has been asking for since forever. I won't lie, I'm a little nervous to meet him, people have been talking about him like a god, some of my cousins even joking that he and I would clash personalities because we will be excessively alike with each other.

“Come on,” Aunt Sheryl tells me. Her hand holding mine to drag me to the front yard, where it's much quieter for some reason. Despite me telling her several times that I'm not interested in physical touch, she ignores it, and I'm learning to accept that it's her love language, and it's comforting to a point.

The moment we appear at the parking lot, a black Lamborghini stands out, the lights still on, evidently the driver just pulled up. Aunt Sheryl and I pause, my gaze roaming the area.

“Fair warning, he's cold. You act cold but he actually is, even with his girlfriend. Oh, he brought a girl?” Aunt Sheryl gasps, earning my attention.

I follow her gaze to the car, a girl leaning against the car hood, pink hair, a leather mini skirt, a black crop top and pink blazer to match the doctor Martin boots on her feet, she's facing the other way. I slant my head, my eyes scantily squinting to take in the familiar five foot six frame in front of me.

The car lights go barren, a man stepping out of the car, dressed in a black blazer jacket and dark jeans paired with a white top. Equally dark hair on his head, he looks nothing like me but somewhat like my mother. Tapping the hood of his car, he says something to the girl, and she turns, giving me a better view of her, both her and the guy getting into an alternation.

I know it's dark and I miss my best friend but, there's so much similarities between the two here.

“Hades,” Aunt Sheryl calls out, her voice loud enough to grab both his and her attention.

That's when I see it, I should have known the moment I laid eyes on the custom Dr. Martin boots. “Bear,” she calls out, running to me while the man behind her yells at her to stop running.

“Tee,” I exhale, wrapping my arms around her. Aunt Sheryl murmurs an "oh". Tee begins to sob, her hands still wrapped around me. “Bear, I missed you.”

“I missed you too, my sunshine,” I whisper, tears threatening to fall as I stroke her hair. “I needed you so bad.”

“Me too,” she rasps, hugging me tighter.

I've been wanting to speak to Tee for a long time, I needed her for my sanity. There's parts of me that only she can handle, parts of me that scare Mirabelle and whoever is within reach.

Tee pulls away at the sound of my supposed brother ranting about something only he seems to understand, Aunt Sheryl pulling him in for a hug while Tee and I wipe our tears.

“Little devil, what have I told you about running?” he asks, his question directed at Tee.

“Ugh, I'm sorry. I haven't seen Bear in months and it's all your fault, I'm bound to get excited about seeing her.”

His fault? I narrow my eyebrows, Tee leaning her head on my shoulder.

“So I take it everyone knows each other but me?” Aunt Sheryl frowns, her gaze settled on Tee and I.

“Tiana, and I didn't want to be here.” she grins, holding her arm out to aunt. Aunt Sheryl reaches forward, shaking her hand, all the while I'm scanning my supposed brother, he looks like my mom I can affirm. His gaze is darker than the clothes he wears but it doesn't scare me, it has nothing on emptiness in Tee's eyes, that's what gets me.

“Hades, this is Camilla.” Aunt Sheryl introduces me, a grace in her tone when she does. I raise my hand, the one that isn't wrapped around Tee, and then I wave. “Hey, I don't know how nice it is to meet you just yet.” I let out, earning a snort from Tee.

“He's very bossy, it's annoying.” she whispers.

I'm taken aback by this, Tee never whispers, she tells it like it is, out loud and proud so he can hear it.

“Victoria has been asking of you all night, what did you promise her?” Aunt Sheryl asks, breaking the silence between us.

My brother shrugs, “Just my presence. Oh, let me get the gift, it's in the car.”

“Nonsense Hades, it can wait, let's go outback, Tatiana is waiting for you.”

Hades, after the devil?

Interesting.

“Hades, can I stay with Camilla?” Tiana asks, her tone evidently pleasing.

“Sure, just don't go around acting a fool, we have a deal and you better not forget it the second I turn my back for one second.” he says, his voice dark and deep.

“I know, I'll be on my best behavior.” she retorts, casting her gaze down.

Hades and Aunt Sheryl turn to leave, leaving me with so many questions, and then, Hades pauses in his tracks. “Camilla, you're very pretty.” he tells me, his gaze drifted to Tee momentarily, “We can talk when you don't look like you want to strangle me, and little devil, take care of yourself, and her.” he says, turning to proceed with his walk. He continues to follow Auntie Sheryl, both Tee and I watching them disappear into the doorway, not a word said.

I veer back to Tee, shaking my head at Hades and his demeanor. “Weird family,” we both say, a laugh following the comment.

“Let's get back and talk, I had a good seat inside and I doubt anyone has the guts to take it before I leave.” I tell her, earning a scowl from her.

I look past it, leading us into the house. My eyes find Belle first, as we walk out the backdoor, she's still with Victoria. Holding hands and talking, Sheryl and Hades are sitting near King and my cousin.

Tee and I make our way to the seat I referred to, Tee instantly getting comfortable in it. I too make myself comfortable, kicking my feet up in the beach chair as Tee looks at me, empty eyes and a smile on her face.

“So, tell me where you've been.”

“Ugh,” she rolls her eyes. “I messed up Tee, I wasn't careful or perhaps attentive enough but it landed me in trouble.” she says, her eyes finding Hades instantly, there's a story here, one I can't wait to be told.

“Okay, how about you start by telling me what's up with you and the Royal golden child,” I snicker. Not sure if this is jealousy talking or perhaps we've already clashed like everyone presumed we would.

“Well,” Tiana begins. “It's kind of funny actually but I'm expecting his baby.”

“Tee?” my mouth widens, shooting off my seat in alarm. “You're pregnant?” I ask, my eyes traveling to her stomach. She's got to be joking, she can't be pregnant.

Tiana nods, “I swear it's not some sick joke I came up with, I'm really pregnant, six weeks.”

Six weeks, that's a month a half, I lay back in my seat, nodding at her.

“That means you finally got over your fear?”

“Nope, I didn't. I was simply minding my business, having the best vacation when I went in for a routine checkup with a gynecologist my doctor recommended and her assistant mixed up my file with another, next thing I know, my eggs are fertilized with the devil's semen and I can't have an abortion because he wants this baby, I can give it to him after nine months, he doesn't expect me to be a mother to it or anything, he just wants a healthy baby out of my vagina.”

“I don't understand,”

“Hades and I aren't a thing, he scares me bear, he thinks I smell like death.” she whispers her gaze hastily trailing back to where she left him, making sure he isn't within earshot. “I never had sex with him, the doctor made a mistake and gave me the wrong procedure, I didn't know anything until he haunted me down at a bar, broke all the bottles of alcohol in sight and forced me to throw up until my system was drained of all alcohol.”

“That's awful but, are you okay?” I ask, studying her for any indication of uneasiness I can get.

Tee shakes her head, her gaze still at the spot where Hades sits, talking to his cousin and King, who is staring at me, probably wondering what I'm telling Tee or what's going on in my mind.

“I'm fine Bear, what about you? Why was Adrian emailing me about you?”

“So much has happened but,” I shift in my seat. “Long story, I left Adrian. I should have done it sooner but I was so caught up in that five minutes of heaven he made me feel before tearing my world apart.” I say blankly.

“You seriously left him?” Tee asks, sitting up straight in the pool chair.
