Chapter 108
"What are you doing,don't you dare touch her!"Amara said trying to get away from him but he definitely wasn't having it. It was like in his mind I was the devil himself. He growled loudly as he moved forward and I moved back again.
I cleared my throat "listen,I don't want any trouble here"
His eyes turned black and I knew I was more than just fucked,he was going to attack and there was nothing I could do. I had to get ready for the impact just like how I had trained back in the forest. I moved back twice and I knew he would take action. Wolves always took action if you were dumb enough to make any silly movements-movements provoked their instincts to charge.
Immediately I felt my body hit the wall and I came crashing down on the ground. It was like flying then crashing... I coughed out as I felt my breath leaving my chest with a lot of pressure. I knew my nose was bleeding when I felt warm thick liquid dripping down my nose.
Amara screamed so loud I squinted my eyes at her a bit annoyed ,I was the one on the ground with an angry werewolf ready attack me again. She jumped on his back and tried choking him but he just threw her on the ground softly a bit further away from us as if she was nothing but a feather.
I groaned as I got up ,my back was literally killing me at this point "I know you hate me right now but we have to work together to protect our people..." I said in a hoarse voice
He scoffed "we do not need ...you. You killed my son,you deserve to die"
I moved back again as I got ready for the next impact. This time my body just hit the wall and I came sliding down. I felt my vision getting a little blurry ,everything was painful. I coughed out a lot of blood that's how I knew I definitely had internal bleeding now. This place was definitely going to get me killed.
Amara came running towards me ,she held my face but I couldn't really concentrate on her. My vision was so blurry "Lu! Oh my God we need to get you a doctor!"
"Yeah my eardrums need to get checked with all your screaming"I coughed out as I tried looking at her but then a loud bang caught both our attention. It sounded like something huge crashing into the wall about three times.
"It's them!" Amara exclaimed as she hugged my body tightly as if protecting me from whatever was taking place .
"Who?" I asked trying to concentrate on the two figures in front of me,my vision got clearer and I sighed "oh...guards" I said in a bored tone before she could even reply.
She sniffled ,she was already emotional "this is the third time you are hurt."
I sighed again "the world truly wants me dead "
"Don't say that!"she said wiping her tears
"Don't show weakness,stop crying already or else they will see how weak you are in this state" I told her as I wiped my bloody mouth. I probably looked like a vampire right now.
She nodded her head "okay...the guards are really fighting off the beta for some reason"
"Because of me," I knew it was because of 'him'that these large male wolves were protecting me. But my question was why wasn't he protecting me himself,maybe it was because the beta was his close friend or maybe he just just didn't want to be seen protecting me .
All of a sudden two more large men appeared and they dragged the beta away. I stood up on my wobbly feet "let's follow them" I told Amara.
"What!Why? We need to take you to the doctor!"
I shook my head "I am fine trust me, it's not like I have a death wish or something. If I feel some type of way then we can go to the doctor," I told her and pulled her with me "now let's go"
We followed the three men as they dragged the beta up the stairs. It took us a few minutes of stalking until we reached the same hall were judgement of me being banished was passed. It brought back a lot of bad memories really. There were four men talking in the middle of the room and as soon as the beta was dropped to the ground they all turned to face him .
"What is this?" One of the men asked ,he seemed older with silver grey hair "Drogo why is the beta being treated like this!"
One of the large men who were holding the beta cleared his throat,he had the most unique hazel eyes "He attacked the Kings mate sir"
We kept ourselves hidden as we checked out what was happening . I almost groaned out loud when I noticed Vladimir was amongst the men . He shook his head "So you belittle your own beta because of a pathetic human! Your own King does not even like her presence yet you three have decided to defend her kind and torment yours?"
The three men looked a bit shaken , I do not think they expected this reaction-they probably thought they would be rewarded for protecting me. "The king told us to keep a close eye on her sir that is why..." before Drogo could finish his statement he was cut off by Vladimir
"He said keep an eye on her,he did not say drag and treat your own beta like a slave for her. She killed his son-our own kind yet you treat her like a Queen!" He said and suddenly within a second he was in front of us. I didn't even get the chance to scream as he dragged us to stand in front of the three men.
He grabbed my neck " she is not your Queen!"
