Chapter 203

The soft glow of moonlight filtered through the curtains, casting a silvery hue on the room. I sat alone in the quiet, the weight of conflicting thoughts pressing on me. My past, like a shadow, lurked in the recesses of my mind. Alpha Alexander's pack – where I was once consumed by loyalty, love, and darkness.

Alexander, the first man I loved, the one for whom I'd committed unspeakable acts. A man whose orders I followed blindly, a man whose love I'd kill for. Yet, here I was, alone and far away, and he had chosen another. I closed my eyes, replaying the haunting memories of his face, etched with betrayal, as he aimed a lethal strike against me. All because of Lucy, the human who replaced me in his heart.

I sighed, questioning whether my love for Alexander had twisted me into a monster. The guilt of the lives I'd taken to please him weighed on my conscience. Did love make me a beast? A reflection in the mirror revealed a woman still grappling with the shadows of her past.

And then there was Roman, a stark contrast to Alexander. His laughter, his lightness, it felt like a balm on my wounded soul. His character made me softer, and when he was near, the darkness within me seemed to fade away. Did I want to go back to the hardened version of myself, the one that thrived in Alexander's world?

I traced the scars on my arm, remnants of battles fought for love and loyalty. The pull of the past tugged at me, tempting me to embrace the familiar, the comfort of being the monster I once was. But Roman's presence, his warmth, offered a different path, one bathed in laughter and gentleness.

Torn between the shadows of my history and the light Roman provided, I wondered if I could truly let go of the past. The moon outside my window seemed to be an indifferent observer to the turmoil within. I stood at the crossroads, uncertain of which path to tread.

As the night unfolded, I knew a decision loomed ahead – to succumb to the old darkness or to embrace the uncertain light. The room remained silent, my thoughts echoing in the quiet, as I grappled with the complexity of my own heart.

The moon still hung high in the night sky, casting its silvery glow upon the pack gathered for the nocturnal hunt.I had decided to see what this hunt was all about rather than locking myself up. The night was still young anyways. As the Alpha, Roman led us into the dense forest, a labyrinth of shadows and moonlit foliage. The scent of the woods enveloped us, the primal anticipation of the hunt stirring within each wolf.

Ella approached me with a sly grin, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Come on, Iris, join the fun. We need a badass like you in the hunt," she teased, her tone revealing the camaraderie I had somehow found in her.

I nodded, appreciating the sentiment. Together, we melted into our wolf forms, our fur becoming one with the night. The hunt began, a dance of coordinated movements and synchronized instincts. Roman's voice echoed in my mind, guiding the pack through the silent woods.

The moonlit clearing beckoned us, and as we approached, the scent of deer tantalized our senses. The pack, a fluid entity, moved with precision. Roman's orders were swift and clear, and soon, we descended upon our unsuspecting prey.

In the thrill of the chase, I felt a sense of unity with the pack, a fleeting moment of acceptance. As we sprinted through the moonlit forest, the rhythmic pounding of paws on the earth created a primal symphony. I could hear the distant howls, the orchestra of the night.

Roman, with his majestic black coat, led the pursuit. His movements were fluid, a dance of power and grace. I ran beside him, my silver fur blending with the moonlight. The thrill of the hunt awakened something primal within me, and a playful challenge ignited between Roman and me. From the corner of my eyes I could see his large wolf stalking me. His wolf was excited and this only pleased my wolf. She wanted him and not in a friendly way.

The chase intensified, our powerful limbs propelling us through the woods. Roman's growls echoed in my mind, a vibrant melody amidst the night's quietude. His voice resonated, "You can't escape, Iris."

I responded with a playful growl, my wolf reveling in the chase. He closed the gap effortlessly, his massive form eclipsing mine. In a burst of energy, he leaped, sending us both tumbling into a moonlit clearing. Our transition from wolves to humans was seamless, the shift leaving us naked beneath the celestial glow.

Roman's eyes, a fiery gaze, met mine. The woods around us disappeared as he pressed his body against mine.I could feel his hard on pressing against my clit and being naked didn't help. I felt myself dripping on his long shaft and he growled loudly his eyes turning completely black before he entered me. My mind went completely foggy and I moaned louder as he went faster his teeth grazing my hard nipples as he squeezed my breasts. The feeling of him inside me was so euphoric, I held him tighter as he kept growing inside me it was just an unexplainable feeling. I cried out loud as I reached my orgasm.
His lips found my neck, nipping at the mark he'd left. The forest echoed with our shared growls, an intimate connection forged in the midst of the hunt.

In that surreal moment, surrounded by the wild, the boundaries blurred between wolf and human. The hunt had evolved into something more profound, a dance between two souls entangled in the moonlit tapestry of the night.

The moonlit clearing bore witness to the tangled dance between Roman and me, a crescendo of emotions rising with each heartbeat. Our breaths mingled in the crisp night air as the forest echoed with the aftermath of our intimate connection. I breathed slowly as I opened my eyes and  as if awakening from a dream, a sudden clarity pierced through the haze of desire. I pushed against Roman's broad chest, creating a small but palpable distance between us. The warmth of the encounter lingered, yet a chill settled within my bones. What the fuck had I just done...my head kept screaming 'no' 'no!'

"Iris, what's wrong?" Roman's voice held a mix of confusion and concern, his eyes searching mine for answers.

"I... I can't," I stammered, attempting to compose myself. "This shouldn't have happened. It was the hunt, the wolves... it wasn't us."

Roman's gaze turned intense, his hand reaching out to touch my cheek. "Iris, we're mates. Nothing between us can be a mistake."

I pulled away, a sense of urgency propelling me backward. "Roman, it was a mistake. Our wolves got carried away, but it doesn't mean..."

His grip tightened, and a flicker of offense crossed his features. "Mistake? Iris, be very careful of what you say. We're destined, connected on a level beyond our control, why don't you see that."

I sighed, frustration and regret entwined in my words. "Roman, it's not that simple. We can't let the wolves dictate everything. This... this was a lapse in judgment."

His eyes darkened, the intensity of our connection crackling in the air. "Iris, you can't dismiss what just happened. Our wolves felt it because we felt it. You can't deny the bond we share."

Refusing to meet his gaze, I stepped back once more, creating distance. "I can't do this, Roman. It's too much, too fast. We need to stop."

He caught my arm, his touch demanding my attention. "Stop? Iris, we're mates. You can't just walk away."

A mixture of anger and vulnerability flashed in his eyes, and I felt the weight of his words. "Roman, I need time. We need time.Let me go please."

He released my arm, frustration etched on his face. "You can't keep denying what's between us.You cannot run from us, I won't let you."

"I'm not denying it, Roman. I just need space to figure this out." I turned away, the moonlight casting shadows across the forest floor.

He stepped in front of me, blocking my path. "Iris, we're meant to be together. You can't just run away from that."

I met his gaze, my own eyes reflecting determination. "I'm not running away, Roman. I'm trying to make sense of all this. We can't let the intensity of the bond overshadow everything else."

His jaw tightened, a silent battle raging within him. "This isn't over, Iris. We're mates, and nothing changes that."

With those words, I walked away, leaving Roman behind in the moonlit clearing. The echoes of our connection lingered, a poignant reminder of the complexities that entwined us.
