Chapter 12

The next morning, I could tell something was off with Alpha Jeremiah. I watched him from a distance as he trained with his partner, his body language giving away his agitation. His muscles flexed and his jaw ticked as he fought, every movement sharp and aggressive. I tried not to get all hot and bothered by the sight, but it was hard not to admire his strength and intensity. Instead, I smirked. If he was having a bad day, then I should be glad. He was an annoying individual in my life right now. Everything in my life became absolutely complicated because of him.

I made my way to my room to grab my novel when an idea popped into my mind—a very bad idea, but it made sense. If I wanted to know what this man was up to, it would be best to look through his things. Without thinking more about this reckless plan, I headed to his room. He was busy training with his men, so I wasn’t surprised when I noticed there was nobody guarding the door. Weirdly, the door was slightly open.

I listened carefully for any sounds or small movements that might indicate someone was inside. Hearing nothing, I slowly walked in and closed the door behind me. Immediately, I was engulfed by his scent. The woodsy, rainforest aroma made my head spin and a tingling sensation stir between my legs. I growled lowly and shook my head. My wolf needed to calm down; this was not why I was here. She wanted to do the nastiest things on his bed, to roll in his sheets naked and rub his scent all over her. I breathed out and began searching.

The room was surprisingly tidy. No documents were laying around, just his clothes. I felt a bit crazy for even thinking he’d leave anything important out in the open. He was an Alpha after all—a notorious one. It would be way too easy if he just left his personal or important things randomly laying around. I shook my head, atleast I tried. As I was about to leave, I spotted his jacket on a chair and decided to please my wolf just this once. She was obsessed with his scent. If I didn't do this, I would spend the rest of my day agitated. I picked it up and sniffed his scent, and my wolf growled in pleasure.

As I was about to put it back, an old photo fell out. It was of Alpha Jeremiah as a kid and a man who must have been his father. He looked so happy and at peace.Just as I was examining it, I heard a loud, dangerous growl. I almost screamed.

Alpha Jeremiah stood in the doorway, his eyes dark with anger. I had never seen him this way. He was always smirking or smiling, but now he looked like he wanted to kill someone. I moved back a little, watching him. His eyes narrowed at the picture I held.

I quickly placed it back on the chair. “I’m sorry,” I stammered. “I didn’t mean to—”

Before I could finish, he locked the door behind him, setting off alarm bells in my head. In a second, he was in front of me, his hand gripping my neck lightly, his minty breath invading my nostrils. His eyes weren’t the ocean blue they usually were; they were almost a blueish charcoal gray.

“Jeremiah, I—”

He didn’t let me finish. His lips crashed onto mine, and when I squealed, he took the opportunity to invade my mouth with his warm tongue. My wolf went wild. I moaned and growled as he squeezed my thighs, my mind at war with my body and my wolf. I tried to push him away, but I could feel myself getting wet. He growled in pleasure, breathing in my scent.

“You shouldn’t have come in here,” he whispered against my lips, his voice deep and commanding.

“I-I’m sorry,” I managed to say, my voice trembling.

His fingers traveled down to my core, tugging my legs open. All I could think of was how bad this was and how I had no control over this situation. He massaged my wet folds before sliding a finger inside me, making me moan louder. I had never felt this way before, and I held onto him tightly. My whole body felt hot and I wanted to feel him inside me.My mind was going wild with all the ways he could have me.I wanted more; my wolf wanted him.

Just as I was about to lose myself completely, he stopped and moved away. His eyes were still dark, filled with a mix of anger and something else I couldn’t quite place.

“Get out,” he said coldly. “And dont ever touch my things again.”

I had never felt so humiliated and embarrassed. I quickly moved towards the door, my heart pounding in my chest. I should have never been so stupid, what was I thinking.Just as I reached for the handle, his voice stopped me.

“If you don’t tell your Alpha you have your wolf and that you’re my mate, then I will do it for you,” he warned. “And you won’t like it.”

I glanced back at him, my eyes wide with fear and confusion. He looked serious, his expression hard and unyielding. Without another word, I hurried out of the room, my mind racing. What was he planning? What did he want from me it was clear that he didn't like me.

I rushed to my room, avoiding as many people as I could. Alpha Jeremiah's scent was all over me. My head was screaming at me to go back ,to beg him to ravish me. I entered my room and locked the door behind me. If I didn't get his scent off me right now, my wolf was going to drive me insane and my father would lose his shit. I quickly ran some warm water into the tub and added every rose scented bath liquid soap I had before entering.
