Chapter 68
He was right I didn't belong in this world,their world. I looked away from him because I didn't need his pity at all. All I needed was to get out of here and travel as far away as possible from him.I could feel his gaze on me.
"What are you thinking about?It doesn't seem like a good thing,I wish I could read your mind..."he said touching my hair.
If he could read my mind I would probably be dead "I want to see my friends"
"That is not a problem at all,you can see them right now before I get rid of one of them. Probably that hunter first"he said bluntly.
I quickly looked at him with hatred "you promised you wouldn't hurt them!"
"And you promised you would do whatever it takes to save them but instead you broke the rules on the very first day" he deadpanned and I felt my mouth run dry. He was right I bit him when I could have let him give me a simple stupid kiss.
"I am sorry okay. Please just don't hurt any one of them."I begged him.
He smirked,I hated it when he did that...it meant something bad was coming up "well you could do me one big favor and after you won't have to do anything for me."
This was too good to be true,I sighed ″ what do you want?"
He looked down at my naked form then his eyes travelled suspiciously down my breasts and they stopped on my stomach.I didn't get it at first but when the word baby popped up in my mind I immediately burst out laughing.
"You...are ...joking right!" I laughed out loud,he was ridiculous.
"It won't be so funny when I feed all your friends to the wolves," he said twirling my hair and I froze.
So he wasn't joking at all,my heart dropped."you are serious. Let me get this right,you want me to have your baby?"
He smirked "I'm glad you get it,I need you to carry my heir."
"Why me?" I asked in confusion.It didn't even make sense at all. I thought he hated humans but now he wanted me to have a baby with him
"Well because you are my mate so my baby will survive. A lycan can only have a baby with his mate ,if the opposite happens then the baby will die."he explained.
I squinted my eyes at him,so that is why I was still alive so I could be his baby making machine. "What makes you think I would ever agree to such a ridiculous thing!"
"Well,you do want your friends to survive...right?"
I smacked his hand away from my hair in anger "You can't keep threatening them! This is between you and me,this is serious."
He raised his eyebrows at my sudden outburst "You are right this is between me and you but you don't have a choice. Knowing that you are full of surprises that I do not like I have to keep you in check so I am forced to threaten your little friends."
I had to do something ″I want to see them right now,"
He sighed "Fine,while you are at it think about this"
I didn't even reply him. I immediately went to put on my clothes and he called out to one of his men. The two men only entered when I was done changing.
"Take her to see the humans and bring her back here after an hour."he said sternly facing them.
They both nodded and one of them replied "yes sir"
I glared at the king before following the two men out the door.I was so stressed up. I couldn't imagine carrying an animal inside me or worst of all having sex with Alexander. It was a nightmare, I had to come up with a plan. I followed the two men down stairs and after a few minutes we were on another floor.
They led me to a basement and we walked to a hidden door. They knocked on the door and someone opened it. I looked to see who it was and my heart skipped. It was Mason he looked okay and unharmed that made me feel relieved. They talked to him and he nodded.
"You can come in"he said to me avoiding my eyes and I walked into the room.He closed the door leaving the two men standing outside.
The room was huge,there was a kitchen in the corner and a spacious living room. There were two more doors in the room and I guessed those were either a bedroom and bathroom.
"What do you want Lucy?"Mason asked glaring at me.
I sighed because I had expected this "I had to see if you guys were safe"
He scoffed "safe?Do you even care if we are happy or safe...you are the reason why we are here right now and you are also the reason why Benjamin is dead,"
I felt like I had been stabbed in the chest but he was also right "I never meant for any of this to happen. I just wanted to get away from him. He is the reason why my family is dead and my friends. I just wanted to escape. I never meant for anyone to get hurt because of it especially Benjamin."
"Mason is right you shouldn't be here and infact you should be ashamed of yourself for even showing up." Lily said walking out from a room and she was holding a tiny little baby.
I almost smiled,so they were safe and she had managed to have her baby safely. "I Know that Lily but I just had to know that you were okay for Benjamin's sake"
Mason grabbed my hand and he led me to the couch,he gestured for me to sit and I sat. He turned on the television and increased the volume.Lily sat down as well holding her baby tightly.
"Don't call me that only Benjamin called me that you can call me Sophie and If you want us to be safe you will get us out of this hell hole because as long as we are here living under the same roof as these animals we will never be safe" Mason said sternly
He was right as long as they were here they would never be safe "how do I get you out of here?"
"I heard one of the men talking and they said their Alpha would be going to Bermingin in a week from now.We should use that to our advantage. Find out his plan and the exact time he would be leaving."Mason whispered
"You should also find out if there is another exit door besides the main one. Somewhere were these animals don't play around much,we will use that when we escape."Sophie added and I felt so heavy,this was all too much.
Mason looked at me softly and that was surprising "you don't have to ,I can look for another exit door when they let us go out for food"
I shook my head, I couldn't risk them getting hurt plus I had to do this for Benjamin. "No it's okay I will make sure you are unharmed while you plan for your escape and I will also find out when the king plans on leaving. I will get back to you with all the information and if there is another way out besides the main doors"
"How are we still alive?I mean we should have been dead but they are keeping us here safe and unharmed "Sophie asked curiously.
"That's not important,what is important is that I get you and the baby out safely."I said brushing off her question. I didn't need them to know what I was going through. I didn't want them to suddenly feel sorry for me and risk saving me or something.
Mason scrunched up his eyebrows "Aren't you escaping as well?"
I shook my head "last time I did that I got Benjamin killed and I cannot risk getting you killed otherwise this would all be for nothing so I will not escape with you."
"She is right she will get us killed if she tries to come with us."Sophie said kissing her baby on the forehead. The little one had fallen asleep.
Mason nodded but he didn't seem happy with that decision."okay you have to leave now and get back to your mate. It's almost time up for you,they gave you an hour"
We stood up and he walked me to the door. He suddenly grabbed my hand before I could open it,I looked at him in surprise. He stared deeply into my eyes "be safe, Benjamin would have wanted you to be safe.He really liked you."
I smiled at him ,"Thank you. Stay safe as well.I will see you again."I said and he opened the door for me.
