Chapter 72
I had officially managed to embarrass myself again only this time it was worse. I felt a warm hand grab my arm and suddenly I was up on my feet. I shyly peeked through my eyelashes and I saw him looking down at me "You are scared," he said simply. His black demon eyes did not leave my figure as he spoke.
I nodded my head ,I couldn't talk right now.I felt like melting away. "you should be." he said as he walked forward still holding my arm. I silently followed him. We were on the first floor and he was talking to the man he brought me here the first day -I remembered his name was Lewis. Lewis didn't like me at all,when he saw me he had a look of disgust plastered on his face. I stood silently waiting for the King,I occupied myself by listening to their conversation.
"I expect that your men are ready," the king said sternly
Lewis nodded "Yes everything is ready,should I also send the troops ahead?"
"No I don't want them to know something is up,it's a surprise" he smirked
"right ,your ride is ready.If you don't mind me asking is it wise to bring the human?" Lewis asked glaring at me.
I immediately looked down. "Yes it is very necessary,she is the star of the night." the King replied
"you have it all figured out" Lewis said with a grin.
I didn't like anything that they were saying ,me being a star of the night and talks about troops as if this was some kind of a war.A war that I was going to be in without any warning and I was just human.The King turned his head looking at me and I knew what that meant.His eyes were still black as night for some reason.I walked up to him and we walked outside. There was a black SUV waiting for us ,a man opened the door and the King entered first.
I felt his eyes roaming around my body,it literally made me feel uncomfortable. I kept my eyes on my lap to avoid his gaze. It was like that the whole journey and the journey was damn long.When we arrived at our destination it must have been an hour later.The car stopped and the driver opened our doors. When I got out of the car my eyes immediately studied the area. We were in the middle of nowhere, I looked up at the Alpha King but he was looking at something else-I followed his gaze.
The whole area was like an endless field,there were a few people heading towards us holding torches. The Alpha King did not even move or blink an eye lid when they arrived,I had a feeling he did not like these people. They were about twenty of them, six women and the rest were men. Six of them moved forward ,two women and four men.
"Alexander Blood Reigner " a woman in a black cape said with a bit of enthusiasm.I recognized her when she looked up at the the King. It was the red head he has been fucking in the castle and she called him by his name as if it was nothing.
"Iris" he said dryly
"you brought the slave ?" Iris said raising an eyebrow
"I can bring whomever I want," he replied staring at her as If she was nothing but a nuisance which was strange to me because they did have a relationship-I saw them the other night and they were intimate.
She grinned "Alright then,let us begin"
When she said that a man in a black cape as well stepped forward holding a piece of paper that he handed the red head and she spoke "Our alliance will only last once you keep your words true to my clan"
"I have kept my words true,that is the only reason why you and your people are alive" King Alexander replied with a straight face.
"The deal can only be sealed with blood, your blood and your mates blood.We both know you do not have a chosen one so the deal can no longer stand. My people will have their territory back or we will just have to do this the hard way. However since you are the first of our kind you may choose your own mate, I can be your chosen one and automatically the deal will be sealed."she said taking out a dagger and stretching out her hand.
This deal about territories and clans was teaching me a lot about these creatures. They were all one kind but still they had clans,they still separated each other as if they were different kind of species.They had no unity and I could use this information to my advantage,to save my people-Mason.
The King took the dagger and slit his palm without blinking an eye "I don't need to choose you or any bitch as my mate when after all the Goddess herself has given me one already,"he grabbed my hand before I could even digest what was happening.He opened my palm in a second and slit a straight clean line in the middle.I screamed in shock and tried to pull away as my blood poured onto the ground.He took the paper from Iris who just stood there also in shock,guess she didn't see that one coming either nor did the rest of the people here.They all stood in their spots like frozen statues.
"Our deal is sealed,this is my territory.If I see any of your people in my territory their blood will be shed." he said as he put our blood on the paper which looked like some kind of a contract. I was still crying,my palm felt as If it was on fire and the bleeding wasn't stopping as my red blood poured itself on the paper.His blood was so dark it almost looked black,my eyes widened as his palm suddenly covered mine in a handshake. Suddenly the pain stopped and I felt totally fine.
He let go of my hand and I looked at it.There was nothing,no blood and no scar.I blinked twice and sniffled-how was this even possible.
