Chapter 100

"Let's move" karen said as she entered a black SUV with the King and we followed.Trevor was quiet beside me as we entered at the back. Three more warriors were coming with us and followed behind in a different SUV .It was a good idea because we needed all the help we could get although they didn't know that yet but they would learn today.

Karen turned her head to look back at us "so where are we heading first?"

I looked at Trevor for a second before replying, the best stop first would probably be the mall "I think we should start with the mall, since that's were we had our last encounter with them"

Karen nodded her head "okay then we will start there"

The drive to the mall turned out to be so long it had me wishing I was back in the forest hunting with my family. It was so awfully awkward honestly,Trevor was just too quiet I hated it . He was always the one to talk or make silly comments. I nudged him and he smiled at me,that was calming. I smiled back at him and looked forward.

When we arrived at the mall-well at least what used to be a mall it was dead silent. Which meant we were safe for now. We got out of the vehicle, Alexander looked dead serious as his eyes scanned the area " there's nothing here, let's move" he said as he walked forward.

My heart sank at the thought of knowing they might actually believe we lied especially if these creatures didn't pop up. I have never wished for such terrible creatures to just pop up but this situation had me wishing for them to just appear once. Trevor and I followed behind with two warriors right behind us, I'm guessing to make sure we didn't run or something.

We stood right on top of the ashes that used to be a whole mall. Alexander and Karen had gone way further ahead of us to look around . "Where do you think those things are right now?" Trevor whispered as we walked

I bit my lower lip in deep thought "I have no idea but if they aren't here then our next option would be at the outskirts"

"You mean our last option,if they don't appear that means we are fucked" Trevor said with a sigh and I groaned.

"We will be okay Trevor,I won't let anything harm us" I said with confidence. I wasn't going to let anything harm my family, never.

He smiled down at me " I know"

Alexander and Karen appeared suddenly and walked towards us looking bad ass in their black clothing. To be honest I was kind of jealous, they looked like a perfect combination. While we looked like some street gang thugs.

"There is really nothing here, no sign of life or sign of their existence" Karen said with a straight face "Usually if such creatures were present before there would be some sort sign left behind like bones ,a tooth, a nail or foot prints but there's absolutely nothing here" she explained and this just killed my hopes

"They are out there ,we are not crazy" I said a bit pissed off. Being called a liar was so angering and I didn't want to think that maybe these things had migrated far off leaving us looking like fools.

Karen smirked "no worries you still have your last option. Where shall we head to next ?"

I breathed in deep "the outskirts where we lived"

"That's a bit far off" she commented

Alexander started walking towards the SUV "let's move we don't have time to waste"

The outskirts were really far,the drive almost took three hours but eventually we made it there safely. I would have slept in such a long journey if these were normal circumstances but they weren't and I was nervous the whole way. What if they weren't here, this question was stuck in my head and it made me feel like I was literally doomed.

We got out of the vehicle and memories of our attack came rushing back into my mind as I looked at what was once our home . Everything was ruined now. The walls we had built no longer existed ,it looked like we were never here.

"You said you lived here?" One of the warriors suddenly spoke to us for the first time. He was blond and well built ...they were all fit anyways. I nodded my head and he raised an eyebrow before walking away. He didn't believe a word I said.

" I wouldn't believe someone lived here too if I was in their shoes, I mean look at this place now Lu" Trevor said as he looked at the tall grass that had grown here.

Alexander and Karen had gone to check the whole area again using their werewolf senses. "Werewolf!" I said out loud as something suddenly clicked in my mind.

"What?" Trevor asked curiously

I looked at him with a smile "look, these things attacked us all the time. They were always there wherever we went but now that we are surrounded by werewolves they are nowhere to be found. They probably are hiding from other scary predators especially a King like Alex"

"You are probably right, they might never show up as long as there are other predators with us" Trevor said folding his arms

I scratched my head "You distract them while I go a little further away"

"No fucking ways! Are you crazy ,it's getting dark and you want to go out there by yourself while I distract them?" He whispered harshly. He was so angry with my suggestion but it was the only way.

I sighed "Seriously Trevor we are running out of time and you know I can take care of myself. Besides when I scream the wolves will be there in a second before anything even happens to me. Just trust me okay. I can't believe I'm about to say this but," I groaned before continuing "with the mate bond I have with the king,he will be there before shit goes South. But if you go they might let you die and I can't let that happen.Does that make you feel better"

He rolled his eyes " Fine I will distract the warriors, I will give you five minutes and if you are not back here or if I don't hear that sign then I'm coming for you myself"
